Gotta be honest here, I think people are disappointed in the ending because they let their expectations get too high. Like, I thought that was the whole point of Wilbur's ending. This whole thing has always been a joke that some drama kids (Wilbur, Tommy) took too far, and while yeah I can understand why people are upset, you've all been expecting a story of the quality of a huge well thought out production. When in reality this is a group of 40 people who can't communicate, have different timezone's, commitments, senses of humor, idea's for their characters, and there is no real leader to it. It's a disorganized mess.
Ages ago I saw a post where people were saying they should expect the same from the dream-smp as they do fanfic writers, and while there's were some issues with that take when you take into account that their being paid for it, when you take into account their experience with story telling in that regard it's true. Would you expect a group of 40 people who have never written a story before with no active leader to write a good story? Because I'd really hope you wouldn't.
Wilbur's ending being a joke should have really fixed your expectations here. You should not have expected a well told story about overcoming abuse to come from a very spoilt well taken care of 16 (now 18) year-old and someone in their early twenties with no degree who's only experience with abuse is a romantic relationship or (allegedly) him himself being an abuser. Neither of them have any qualities that should make you think they'd tell a good well thought out story.
The Dream-smp (season 1) is a bunch of people throwing their OC's into scenarios and seeing what happens. The purpose was fun, and the second it stopped being that it went downhill. That's not to say it was always bad or that there were no amazing stories mixed in. Quackity and Wilbur are amazing writers and pretty much every dream-smp member is great at roleplay and acting, but the whole set up was never one that could be good as anything but good old fun. And i think once you reset your expectations to that, it becomes good again.
Why are people surprised if content creators are on here? Like I thought it was common knowledge. Plus it’s funny watching y’all freak out over Tubbo and Ranboo being on tumblr.
An empty soul. A divided nation. A shattered dream.
There was a special place.
Ok, fine, I’ll just post my reaction to one frame.
This is gorgeousness. The animation barely started and THE LIGHTING! I am in awe of her artistic talent. I love the ray streaming in, and you can see particles in the light. The DETAIL. BEAUTIFUL.
Also, this frame seems to depict the ruins of the drug van. The brewing stand is empty, and the picture frame is shattered. The walls are broken. The way SAD-ist really captures the soul of this place, this empty, broken, beaten place. It’s beautiful.
The inniter curse
Happy 1 year to the Big Man himself!
WAIT FUCK
You see these two pictures??
One is from the Exile Arc and the other is from Techno's Wither base shortly after Tommy escaped,
But wait...
no...
