At some point, some Republicans are going to have to start dropping out of the race. Unless the convention is just going to be a free-for-all grudge match of some sort. When do you think that would happen and who are the most likely candidates?
I’d guess that by March 3 or 4 more candidates will have dropped out. The top four in the polls right now are Trump, Cruz, Rubio, and Carson. Unless there’s a big upset in the early primaries, I’d expect these four to stay in for awhile. Other than that, it’s kind of hit or miss with the next top three or four, whether their numbers will rise slightly or they’ll drop out after losing the first handful to states.
