Is this brought by a fascination with Western spellcastin' methodology, or perhaps somethin' else? And... A crescent moon staff. Well, well. It seems Fujiwara no Mokou is once again visiting the shrine, asking the tough questions.

"You certainly are a curious one, Fujiwara no Mokou. But I like to encourage curiosity, so I’ll go ahead and answer your questions."

"As you’ve probably already guessed, I’m not native to these lands. The reason for my Western attire and magic is, to put it simply, because I came from the West. If you want to get into specific locations, I was born in Scotland— though the village I was born in no longer exists…" as she says this, Mima’s hands briefly clench into fists, and she goes silent for a moment."Things… happened, and I somehow found myself here in Gensokyo, though it wasn’t commonly known as that back then. I must have unconsciously used a teleportation spell, but without setting any coordinates,” she explains, scratching her cheek briefly in thought. “I suppose it must have locked on to a place where strong magic gathers. Which was all well and good, because the situation I had been in prior to teleportation was… well, not so great.”

Mima pauses to look up at Mokou, though she seems to be thinking of something. “How much do you know about European history? Particularly that of the British Isles? Well, if you’ve ever heard of a woman name ‘Mary, Queen of Scots’,” the evil spirit spits out the name with disgust, “then you’ll know why I was glad to not be in that place anymore,” she hisses softly, all the while her hands shaking, as if to reach out and strangle someone who wasn’t there. A deathly chill begins to creep through the air, but suddenly, Mima snaps out of it.

"As for the crescent moon staff, I just like the Moon, that’s all." The evil spirit seemingly finishes, before her snaps her head up, as if suddenly remembering something.

"Oh, and my late husband made me this hat. He was actually pretty good at sewing and embroidery… but it was his first time trying to make a Western-style witch hat, and bless his dorky little soul, it turned out like this. I wore it anyway, because he worked so hard on it," Mima says warmly.

I did get some good use out of the time not spent on tumblr, though - finished ACIV, Gears of War I, and beat Halo 4 on Heroic, today. I think my eyeballs are gonna fall out xD
