A dream inspired image. There was someone who split a deck of playing cards. The bottoms of the deck had 2 of Diamonds on the right hand, and 4 of clubs on the left. They were shuffled back together. Something about their look and posture reminded me very much of the tarot Temperance card. I’ve been working on updating my online shop and a few new pieces to put up there and that’s really been keeping me busy. This piece was inspired by a dream I had yeeeeeears ago. I think this dream was triggered by the unhealthy habits that a certain person around me has, and realizing how powerless I am to help if they don’t accept/want the help for whatever reason..In this dream I was paralyzed in middle of a beautiful flower garden, surrounded by some weird smoke emitting from these flowers. Ghosts Don’t Haunt on Mondays
I had a dream the other night
Not like those other nightmares with the oh-so-clinical title- PTSD
Those nightmares where I re-live the trauma night after night
Oh yeah.. So I was in this big house full of ghosts
They chased me through room after room,
Though they never caught me…
Like he did….
There were ghosts
With sharp things gnashing and slashing
Ghosts coming out of the TV
One reached for my throat…
Like he did…
But it missed because I ran like hell
And then I realized…
The ghosts only haunted on Sundays
“Whew! These Mondays!” I said
Hoping to fool them
I guess it was all about perspective
My ghosts? They still follow me.
Always will.
But totday?
Today it’s fucking Monday
And the ghosts can’t haunt me on Monday.
