i've been finding more and more things i like about Lost in Translation the more i watch it. i totally missed the meaning behind bill murray singing "more than this" during the karaoke scene until very recently. do you have movies like that?
i would say my appreciation for edgar wright films has grown upon each rewatch because i catch more subtle gags and obscure references, especially in his cornetto trilogy. i also like nymphomaniac upon each rewatch because it’s amusing to see lars von trier’s hardon for tarkovsky, two filmmakers i also really like

While looking for some public domain female heroes of color, I came across this incredible origin story for an Oz character named Jinjur: "Jinjur was unhappy because men had ruled the Emerald City for too long. She secretly organized an army made up entirely of girls and successfully conquered the city, stealing its fabulous wealth and enslaving all the men and boys."
