Tales from the SMP was so good, and it brings up a lot of questions/adds a lot of lore to both Karl and Dream’s characters.

Karl’s character is now established as an ages old, reincarnated or perhaps immortal being. I saw some takes about him being a time traveler, which could also be true. Somehow, someway, he was there for these stories- not as a character, but as the narrator. It wasn’t a character who is similar to him, it’s him. He is incredibly old, and outlasts the SMP as a whole. He’s been there since the beginning, and maybe even longer.

Dream too. This event expanded the Dreamon lore so much, just because of Dream forgetting to change his skin, lol. Dreamons are now established to live in the same bodies for hundreds of thousands of years. It also shows why Dream chose the SMP land specifically and why he’s so protective of it- he’s lived there forever.

I think that Tales from the SMP is Karl’s way of teaching the SMP members about stories he’s lived through- and Dream just decided to tag along. Maybe Karl’s even a time traveler, physically going back and cataloguing these stories? I’m not sure exactly, but I am super excited to see what happens next week with the Beach episode and where it all goes from here.

A bit of the Dreamon Slayers lore i guess

I played around with some texts and fonts, it was fun but equally as frustrating to figure out the placement of the texts

Since i'm using the same drawings from last post i don't want to bore people too much, so i'm gonna info dump along the way about the trio in this little AU i suppose

Sapnap is a Flame Breathing user. He became a dreamon slayer after his friend went missing because of a dreamon incident. Others told him that his friend is long gone by now but he refuse to believe that.

He met Tubbo and Fundy along the way and decides to join them as they are heading for the same direction.

I made Tubbo an Insect Breathing user because of his love for bees. Like Shinobu, his sword is also poisonous.

Despite his age he is actually one of the higher ranking dreamon slayers and is very knowledgable about dreamons. He helped Fundy train to become a dreamon slayer. Years later, he reunited again with Fundy on a dreamon investigation im a near by town.

For Fundy, i made him a Water Breathing user because in dsmp lore, his mom is a salmon, as we all know, and during early l'manburg days his base was literally underwater as if he doesnt need to breathe- (i dont know if that base is still there, im very behind qAq)

He wanted to become a dreamon slayer ever since Tubbo saved him from a dreamon. Tubbo admired his passion and helped him train for the Final Selection. After Fundy passed they parted ways until they were sent on an investigation together.

His mask was made by his father for good luck. Fundy rarely ever takes it off.
