I was nervous about the storm. Couldn’t sleep. 2am before I drifted off. Tossed and turned. Ben stopped breathing in his sleep again. Woke him up, all is good. Cuddled up because he stole all the blankets and I was freezing. Nightmares. Two. One he had an sex with another woman. Two we were at someone’s house ‘riding out’ the storm. Ben leaves for work. I go to take Nolan to the car to take him to the baby sitter and I see a stampede of animals coming. Not just ANY animals but elephants, zebras, animals that belong at the zoo, and some animals that looked prehistoric frankly. Then there were the tiny twisters. I have a reoccurring nightmare about tornadoes this one was different, they were tiny and barely blew anything. We had to run back to the house to avoid being hit by more animals. Got back inside and watched out the window as I frankly try and call Ben. Watch as a neighbor leaves for, it’s that guy from work who looks like he wears a toupee ..the weird one who I can’t tell if he hates me or he’s just super awkward. His car gets stomped on by this orange elephant, the color of sherbet It looked more like an Indian drawing of an elephant then an Elephant itself. It crushed him, I didn't really care. Then I was walking down some road. Walking because the cars were gone or crushed. I was talking to Nolan as I held his hand, “This would make a great post apocalyptic book…that is if Stephen King hasn’t done it already.”
I want to call Ben now, I need some assurance so I do feel anxious all day. I hate when dreams leave me feeling like this. No more coca-cola after midnight, that was a really really really bad idea.
