                    It  was  a  late  night  for  Gizmoduck  &&  Fenton  was  just  returning  to  the  lab.  He  had  a  few  more  things  he  wanted  to  focus  on  before  calling  it  a  night.  By  now,  it  didn’t  surprise  the  duck  that  Dr.  Gearloose  was  still  in  the  lab  --  the  amount  of  times  that  he’d  come  in  to  his  boss  sleeping  at  his  desk  was  astronomical.  He’d  also  found  out  the  hard  way  that  it  was  best  to  let  him  sleep.  So  he  was  quiet  as  he  walked  past  the  sleeping  scientist.  Luckily  the  work  he  needed  to  do  was  all  on  paper  so  he  wouldn’t  have  to  worry  about  disturbing  anybody.  

                    He  had  a  few  moments  of  silence  &&  was  actually  startled  by  Gyro’s  voice  breaking  through  the  quiet  atmosphere.  It  took  him  a  full ten  seconds  to  realize  that  his  boss  was  not  actually  awake  -   he  was  talking  in  his  sleep.  How  curious.  He  shouldn’t  listen;  but  this  paperwork  had  to  be  finished.  He  couldn’t  just  leave  it.  Fenton  supposed  he  could  at  least  try  to  tune  it  out.

We gonna jump right into this because y’all already know I have so many hc’s for dellro!!!! 

Della was Gyro’s first real friend his age ( ish, he’s a little older than her but only by like 4 years -- still counts as a peer! ) 

Della has wrecked Gyro’s lab 74 times. Okay, maybe some of those times it was the triplets, but as Gyro likes to say ‘your spawn, your fault’

Gyro has a room in his lab titled the ‘Della do not enter’ room and she knows not to go in there. It’s an unspoken agreement between them and if Della were to ever betray that, it’d be a really big deal. 

Lil Bulb calls Della mom! It started as a way to annoy Gyro, but now it’s just a habit. Della doesn’t mind it at all. 

Della and Gyro by this point have been dating for about 6 months and they have not had their first kiss yet!

Gyro has hoodies among his casual wear and Della definitely does the girlfriend thing -- she steals his hoodies and only returns them when they don’t smell like him anymore. Then she steals a different one. 

When Della expressed that her prosthetic leg was uncomfortable, Gyro made her a new one so that she wouldn’t be in as much pain. 

‘Movie night’ is code for ‘Falling asleep on Gyro’s couch’ They have actual sleep dates. It’s adorable, they cuddle. 

Della is the one who asked Gyro out on their first date. 

Della is now aware that Gyro worked for FOWL but he still doesn’t know she partnered with SHUSH in the past. 

Both of them are a lot softer to each other in private. When no one else is around is usually when they don’t argue. 

When Della is asleep, Gyro will kiss her head or her cheeks if he’s able. ( @dreamtcloud​ came for my entire life w that one )

Despite the fact that they’re almost always arguing, they haven’t had any serious fights. 

Even though Della’s relationship with Gyro isn’t her first relationship, she treats it as such -- she wants Gyro to be comfortable in all of this. She lets him take things at his pace. 

At the current point in their relationship, if either of them are faced with any talk of marriage, it makes them incredibly uncomfortable. For Della it’s because she’s still learning how to be a mom, she has no idea how to handle being somebody’s wife. Even if she knows Gyro doesn’t have any expectations of her in that category. 

As for Gyro, he just considers it to be way too soon to even be thinking about that ( to which, Della fully agrees ), so they don’t talk about it. Gyro is also terrified of what being married means. 

Once Della isn’t threatened by the idea of marriage -- she’ll marry Gyro in a heartbeat.

“Wait, SORA?” Louie pays no attention to the kid’s he’d been SCAMMING out of their allowances, quickly pocketing his WEIGHTED DICE while the cowards ran away like they’d never seen a HUMAN before.

Actually, they probably hadn’t.

Blue eyes glanced towards the other’s approach; Tommy’s observation prompted his brother to turn around and address the stranger, which he did with vibrant energy.

❝ Oh! Hi. ❞ Can of Pep in hand, the tanuki child turned to look at the man. Timmy blinked, tilted his head at Gyro as his tail flicked up with curiosity. He was new to this place — their boss had only recently reconnected with an old friend of his ( who just so happened to be a multi-billionaire ). Apparently he wasn’t the only one who worked from the ground up... so inspiring! But Timmy was getting ahead of himself...  ❝ Were you looking for Mr. McDuck? I’m afraid he’s having an important meeting with Mr. Nook right now! So very sorry! ❞

❝ Doing a spot of cleaning, are we? ❞ a curious word from the miser, but as he observes further, there’s a sort of organisation to it. He’d merely stepped in to check on his highly esteemed scientist, curious about his absence the day before. He always trusts absences such as these are for principled reason, at least when it came to Gyro. But if it’s for something other than research endeavors, well... with that history, Scrooge can’t help but worry. ❝ ... or redecorating...? ❞
