Around Drelethyn, Drelayn is likely to speak more freely in general, and let his mental tangents carry with a little less reservation. For one, he knows Drelethyn would more easily catch on to an attempt at holding his tongue, and the last thing he’d like to come off as is that he’s hiding something- Because when you’re in the company of someone who knows what’s going on, it’s incredibly liberating to be able to simply speak your mind as it comes. And for second, it’s doubly liberating to do so with ideas when you know the other party might bounce them back and forth instead of staring blankly.
As for Mychen-Zel, it’s partially a matter of letting himself fall into the comfort of routine and the ‘natural instinct’ of his fabricant nature, and dropping the façade of normalcy in a similar manner of a neurodivergent person trying to pass as neurotypical for long periods- Which is, in essence, exactly what it is. And in a similar vein, allowing himself to speak (more) freely on the things he notices and senses, go into detail that others would find unsettling-- And ask about it, because for once, he doesn’t have the strangest sense of perception in the room. It’s not even entirely conscious- Something about being near Mychen just drops the filter, as it would around other fabricants/transicants, and Nchuth.

1. WHAT IS YOUR NAME?: Drelayn Areth.
2. WHAT IS YOUR REAL NAME?: Before I was taken in by the Telvanni? Yenshah-Pal Zabamat. It holds no more weight or meaning, and I would prefer you forget it.
3. DO YOU KNOW WHY YOU’RE CALLED THAT? : I can only speculate.
4. ARE YOU SINGLE OR TAKEN?: Yes.
5. WHAT ARE YOUR POWERS AND ABILITIES?: I found out a number of years ago that so long as my pneuma remains intact, I should be able to endure just about anything.
Endure is perhaps a strong word. Given that spare fabricant bodies don’t grow on trees, I don’t exactly want to test the limits of what, exactly, it will put up with.
6. WHAT COLOR ARE YOUR EYES?: Red. I’m not related to Barenziah, don’t give me that look.
7. HAVE YOU EVER DYED YOUR HAIR?: Unintentionally. Alchemical accident while I was assisting Karthilia in her lab. Incidentally, it’s actually impossible to teach a room full of impressionably young mages while your hair is redder than mashed beets.
8. DO YOU HAVE ANY FAMILY MEMBERS?: i have nobody of blood left, but I am not without a family.
9. DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS?: Some people would consider Nchuth, or Trinket as she has come to be nick-named, a pet.
I let them believe that, as to prevent or at least delay the chaos that typically ensues from learning the contrary. I still owe a merchant in Bruma a new stall, and I believe we may still have a sizeable bounty in Markarth...

11. DO YOU HAVE ANY HOBBIES OR ACTIVITIES YOU DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME?: My work is my “hobby.” Many people think my studies are limited to the Dwemer, but they more closely encompass the teachings of Sotha Sil, and that which he left behind.”
12. HAVE YOU EVER HURT ANYONE BEFORE?: Plenty. That doesn’t mean I found it enjoyable.
13. HAVE YOU EVER… KILLED ANYONE?: ...Yes.

15. NAME YOUR WORST HABITS.: I am fully aware that I tend to isolate myself down here. I would say that I lose track of time, but I’m actually quite aware of it. I do, however, lose track of its relevancy. ..A lot.
16. DO YOU LOOK UP TO ANYONE?: I am a student of Sotha Sil. Who do you think?
17. GAY, STRAIGHT, OR BISEXUAL?: (You receive a blank and withering stare of silence.)
18. DO YOU EVER WANT TO MARRY AND HAVE KIDS SOMEDAY?: (Drelayn visibly winces in memory.) ...I have Nuaane, whom I took in many years ago. Though I may have difficulty showing it, I am incredibly proud of how far she has come.
19. DO YOU HAVE ANY FANS?: .... I’m not going to think of that one.
21. WHAT ARE YOU MOST AFRAID OF?: I believe it would be the loss of my ability to create, to work and study.
22. WHAT DO YOU USUALLY WEAR?: Robes, red and grey most often. Simpler clothes and an apron if I’m around particular machinery, as I don’t wish to lose any more of my body than I already have, if I can help it.
23. DO YOU LOVE SOMEONE?: Very much, for the family I have surrounded myself with.
24. WHAT CLASS ARE YOU?: (You recieve a puzzled look.)
25. HOW MANY FRIENDS DO YOU HAVE?: As many as I need.

29. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE?: I could go on about vast and grand sights I’ve seen, but in truth, I miss the grazelands the most.

34. CAMPING, OR INDOORS?: Camping, in all honesty. When I do break from projects for a time, there is little else that brings more solace than being able to simply stop, and listen.
