BA3b // Third Warp Today, I made a start dressing the loom with my third warp. This is the other half to my 6 metre warp, which means I'll finally have 6 metres of cloth which shows decisions and development. It was a fairly quick process, it only took me about an hour to wind on both cloths, (other than a few fag breaks!) Although, I spent a longer while figuring out how I actually wanted my warp to look. I've decided that I would like some small gaps in area of my warp, so that it'll perceive a ladder effect. Throughout the warp, I've decided to do a straight draft with the Orange yarn on 1-6 and Blue on 7-8. After every inch of Orange, I'll be removing half an inch of Orange to leave a gap. In place of this gap, I'll add 1 or 2 of the Blue textured yarns. I've decided to do so, as I do not want a complete dip, in which my cloth doesn't hold together very well, so by adding thicker, stronger yarn it it'll allow my warp to stay stable but at the same time perceive the structural and linear effect I'm aiming for. At the end of today, I came to the middle of my warp whilst threading up which means I only have half left to do. I aim to finish this and pull through the beater tomorrow. As I know dressing the loom is a frustrating process I do not want to put to much pressure on myself, but I do only have a few days left to weave.
