Drew overdid it at work. One of his uncle’s regulars was trying to duck a pretty hefty bill, so he was sent out to rough the guy up. But unfortunately, he ended up getting almost equally as roughed up (almost, he made sure to leave a lasting mark). He was able to stop by his uncle’s place and clean up, but there was no way of missing the bandage that went over his entire left hand — or the fact that he was barely able to use it. He wasn’t sure what he was going to tell Tony. He didn’t want to lie to him, but he also didn’t want to worry him about his job. So he deiced that he wasn’t going to hide it, but he would definitely leave out the… gorier details.
It was a little earlier than usual as he opened the front door to the apartment. That alone could have been seen as a sign of something happening, but he only hoped the younger male would focus on the positive side of it. “Babe? I’m home,” he called out. Once the door was locked, he quickly made his way over to the bar to attempt to make two drinks.
