When you see bae
New Year (Academic), New Place, New Me(?)
So it was suggested by some friends that I document the experiences of my research year. I will forewarn all that I have difficulties keeping up with my own journal, but here we go!
Constant thoughts
The end of third year is nigh, and with no honors my struggle and concern for matching appears worse than ever...
Le sigh
Fam Med Day 8 (technically)
I have returned from a two day conference in the other side of the country!
The good: despite a stressful and at times depressing weekend, getting to see patients and taking care of them really made life better.
The bad: the jetlag was real, as shown by my lack of sleep and consequent GPS difficulties leading to a late start (30min) to the morning.
The interesting: had a good conversation with my preceptor on the art of medicine vs the evidence based science of medicine in treating patients.
Fam Med Day 2
The good: My preceptor complemented me on the quality of my notes!
The bad: nothing of note today ^.^
The interesting: I got out early and took a nap!
Fam Med day 1
The good: the office staff and patient population are wonderful to work with!
The bad: PVD1 (post vacation day) brain fog, open ended questions are not my friend
The interesting: my preceptor reminds me sooo much of Sherlock’s Dr. Watson
In summary...I would like to go back on vacation...now please
Current feelings
Consistently failing at everything, everyday -.-
