Rescued a juvenile barred owl this afternoon with the help of @peter_j_777 who spotted it and snagged it with a towel. @andyrefiak,@julienneniemyski, and I drove it to @centerforwildlife in York. Given its location near the road and lateral injuries, I’m pretty sure it was hit by a car. We are hoping it survives. At this time of year in the Northern hemisphere so many juvenile animals are striking out on their own.
