its really a representation of how different sid and rielle's trauma is ie the worst moment of sid's life is the thing that sets rielle free. when he tries to leave ystride alive it's him projecting onto rielle again because he can't imagine something worse than watching a parent die (he should know it's happened to him multiple times). and the important thing is that he listens and lets her choose when she tells him to do it. so anyways

i think another one of my top 5 sid moments is after the level 70 duty where he's just watched you fight your trauma baby to the death and then have a touching reunion with your sense of compassion and he is like damn dude. i guess we just had a moral lesson or something.
