For the meme: I, S & T? (Either for fallout or in general?) :)

I: Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)? It’s not really guilty if I lack shame, is it? But!!! I will always, always have a soft place in my heart for enormous Them Bigs hitting their knees to the floor for significantly smaller partners. I started out writing mutie smut, by golly, I know my roots!

S: Any fandom tropes you can’t resist? Oof. Pining???? Mutual pining????! Especially with some cuddling to stay warm, and gosh. It’s downright wholesome with its simplicity. :’)

T: Any fandom tropes you can’t stand? ‘Can’t stand’ in the sense that I personally dislike them or will click back if I find it? Not generally a fan of soulmate tropes, though I fully admit that hasn’t stopped my from trying to write my own or having enjoyed a few very nice fics with them. ABO is one that I’ve tried reading but just can’t get into. Uhhh.

….Fallout-specific, I’m gonna state a very controversial opinion and say that while this may not be a trope, per se, I am extremely disinterested in fanon interpretations of Boone as a hyper-masculine top. I am similarly disinterested in Danse being interpreted that way. Amount of actual controversy may require a grain of salt. ;)

1. If you’re an author, how many WIPs do you currently have? (Be honest!)

AWKWARD LAUGH TIME!!! Technically I have a lot more, like half-written scraps and bits that I don’t intend to finish... but if I don’t intend to finish, they’re not really ‘in progress’ are they? So these are the WIPs that I would actually like to finish someday and have written at least an outline for.

the Leliana/Morrigan longfic that I’ve been working on and off for almost a year

Janey/Athena fic that’s a lot about food and a little bit about depression and sex. It’s something I keep thinking about, but it’s pretty heavy for a canon that’s so lighthearted

A Breanna/Delilah fic for Dishonored that is weird and moody and would probably end up being another longfic, so I don’t plan to start that until I finish the Leliana/Morrigan story. Right now it’s two pages of bullet points and ideas.

Stevie stories: technically they’re three short stories but I am lumping them together as one bigger thing because they’re meant to fit together. Basically: F!LW uses sex and hurt as a way to push away people she cares about. Starts out with some femdom and F!LW/Jericho, moves to F!LW/Fawkes. Again, emotionally messy and for a fandom that I’m not really active in any more, but I do like the characters and I wrote a good chunk of it during Camp Nano.

Fleur/Tonks ghosthunters AU because it’s October and apparently that’s what my brain wants.

Three miscellaneous original short stories.

So six bullet points, but technically 10 WIPs. Again, not including stuff where it’s just me jotting a line like “story where characters A & B have sex.” :P

LAST: He doesn’t have the hair for it, hasn’t had it in a long time, but he’s always liked the feel of it anyway. He hands it to Stevie, grip-first, and she flips it in her hand, gives it an experimental swing.

POV: Jericho grins, leans close. Close enough she could kiss him, if she had a mind to, but he reeks of booze and cigs. She wrinkles her nose, controlling her instinctive recoil as he tugs her braid. “Aw. Ickle baby Stevie.”

Stevie swats his hand, then grabs his fingers. Squeezes, hard enough she feels his bones grind. “Don’t make me spank you, old man.”

I'm about to go sleeps after doing a bout of edits so, predictably: madison/catherine pretty please? :')

This cracks me up because just a few years ago, if you had asked me, I would have only put this at a 7… but then you dragged me fully into this rarepair fix-it hell, and now I’m at a full screaming 10. :’) Let Catherine live!!! Let her have agency and motivation and a full backstory beyond a single cross-stitched quote and James’ martyrdom complex!!!! Let Madison smooch her!!! Let Madison see the child of the woman she loves most in the world! Let Madison harvest the fruits of her own labors and the respect she so richly deserves! Let them be happy!!!!
