Saw your post about It’s Always Sunny,

I’ve always wanted to get into it! Do you have a season/episode recommendation where I should start?

The first season was kinda hard for me to stick with, especially episode one

i am saying this with all the kindness in my heart possible: i honestly don't think the show is for you if s1 was a struggle to get through. like s1 is definitely rougher than the others but it will basically always stay like that to some extent

that said I do genuinely think going in order is the best, because s2 is where frank (danny devito) gets introduced and immediately the dynamic between the characters evolves. unfortunately, while always sunny is mostly a "jump in anywhere" show, it does very much have an ongoing continuity so some things are not going to make much sense without that. (like you Could start at season 5 but there's no good reason to and I frankly wouldn't recommend it)

...and also im not that far and there are like 13(?) or more seasons so I am not a great person to ask about this when I'm doing it completely and chronologically no matter what

idk. i would recommend finishing s1 and if the character dynamic change in s2 doesn't make you want to keep going i do not think it's necessarily a show for you
