Reposted from @yourcroydon Drum roll, please! We are proud to announce the winners of #ReimagineSubways! Congratulations to Abigail Watts-Cherry @a.w.cherry winner of the professional category for #CroydonLives - which would transform the subways into an underground plaza, complete with a running track, cafe, cinema, and market space. Also in the professional category, local artist Wesley Baker @CDN_Creative has been named runner up, for his musical mural, #CroydonsTalents In the non-professional category, Andrew Dickinson has won for his innovative and environmentally-friendly #SubterraneanMushroomFarm which would use a subway to grow "Cr'oyster" mushrooms using coffee ground waste. Finally, 12 year-old Riddlesdown Collegiate student, Gemma, has won in the under 18 category for her idea to host #DroneRaces in a subway. A big thanks to everyone who participated - it was a very difficult decision, as there were so many incredible submissions to choose from! You can still view all the shortlisted entries at the exhibition in the Croydon Clocktower, and outside of @croydonfairfield on the hoardings.
