me, at 4am, on my blinged out flip phone from 2006: now I know that Edward Scissorhands is perceived as just an “edgy kid” classic, but we don't really give it enough thematic credit! it has a deeply personal and biting message about mental and physical disability, and how people only encourage and celebrate those differences when they are relatable, aesthetically interesting, or directly useful to their personal wants and needs. not only that but the color scheme is just FANTASTIC and
