I think part of the reason "Threshold" leaves so many wanting explanations is because there are so many missing scenes and POVs we don't get to hear from. Write a "Threshold" story that fills out as many missing scenes and shows as many missing POVs that you can think of. You can be as close to, or as far away from, canon as you want.
