Can I,tell you about my weekend? I finished NEC and I bet you can tell how this is gonna go BC its baad. I had a think feeling in my throat til buck visited Steve. And I cried at the last parts. And then I cried some more BC the writing to my poetic heart is salve and it soothes. Then I repeated phrases to myself while sobbing into ice cream. And then I found out Emily "quit" tumblr and I can't tell her how goddamn much it meant to me. Whyd she go man. Idk Im sorry, this wasn't a happy wkend.

Hi anon! I’m sorry this wasn’t a happy weekend for you. :( And yeah, drop-deaddream was one of my favorite blogs. I can’t speak for Emily, but I think it was taking up a lot of time and energy that she wanted to focus elsewhere, and I’m glad she did what’s gonna make her happy. But if I were you, I’d leave a comment on the fic on AO3. It’s not like she unplugged her internet, and I don't know if she'll see it, but she may. A lot of authors don’t have a Tumblr at all, so sometimes I end up leaving comments and I’m not sure they get read - especially on old fic - but for me, that’s always been a part of fandom: thanking someone for the joy they’ve brought me and not necessarily expecting a reply, you know? I hope you feel better soon. Feel free to come off anon if you want to talk more.

honestly this is why i’ve left my main account and only follow like, 50 people ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ tumblr discourse is reliably fucked up, at least in my opinion

I’ve learned a lot here, and I’ve also had to reject a lot of things as I thought about them more. It’s unfortunate. I think the site is just ill-suited to any conversation where someone makes a mistake or changes their mind, because there could be a million reblogs of the out-of-context opinion they may now regret, and sometimes they just have to start over.

I will say one thing, and that is thank god I have anon off. I’ve gotten no abuse despite someone reblogging the post, but I’ve gotten a number of very thoughtful messages from my followers, both disagreeing and agreeing, and everyone has been quite respectful.

i don’t know if they play the whole song but they play a lot over a big training montage that alternates between two dudes with vendettas who are going to FIGHT so 5 stars i’d recommend
