thank you for the happy anniversary wishes! as for the art thing; I know it's hard, but I think it's important that you don't compare yourself to other artists. I feel the same way you do about so many artists, but I try to not let it get to me, because I have fun with what I work on and seeing people enjoy it on top of that brings a smile to my face. :)

Damn dude! Your love for Rayman made me fall in love with this ship! (More to Lex/Rayman) WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME-

But come on, I have a couple of questions here .. although there are actually a lot of them, but .. half of them are inadequate-

1. What is your MOST favorite moment(s) with Rayman?

2. How do you feel about the fact that the fans began to actively return all sorts of old things from the unfinished Rayman 4? Do you think that they can still return it?

3. Did you communicate with Rayman on character.ai? (This is a shorter site where you can chat with characters there)

aaaaa thank you for the questions!! always a delight to get to talk about my love for rayman, hEH. 💜💜💜

1: oh BOY I have way too many to name just one!! I love pretty much any and all moments with him in rayman 3. especially the few times he has actual dialogue throughout the game... he has a lovely voice. 🥺 but with the sparks of hope dlc coming out soon, I'm sure I'll be absolutely smitten with the moments with him in the dlc as well!

2: I think it's awesome! it is definitely interesting to see what could have been. even if I'm not such a huge fan of the original raving rabbids prototype that was intended to be rayman 4 (much prefer the phoenix studios prototype, but that's even more lost), it's super cool to see so much unused content getting dug up! there are some people who are working on taking all those jumbles and turning them into some more comprehensible gameplay, which, again, I find to be pretty neat. :)

3: I sure have! though I'll say at a point it actually made me realize how much of a love I have for writing, so instead of talking to a chatbot, it inspired me to instead go write my own fanfics to make myself feel closer to him! ^^ makes me feel more productive, too, lol. besides, the ai of course won't get his personality right 100% of the time. if I write him myself, I can portray him exactly how I want!

I love love the little detail on his model that they kept the hoodie strings being different lengths - that was the case for his model in rayman 3, 20 years ago, and now they brought it back and I love that. 🥺 it was also present in the first raving rabbids game, but kinda faded out of his design after that. but I adore it!!! it adds so much personality.

(it might be hard to tell in this screenshot specifically, but I got confirmation about it from one of the devs over on twitter that his new model does indeed keep that detail ^^)

I actually have thought about what it would be like if my character could be playable in a rayman game! 👀 I'd imagine that, compared to rayman, he'd be much faster, making him easier to use for speeding through levels - but at the cost of having much less strength. so he'd be very quick but not great with any kind of combat.

Sometimes people don't understand the rest and they don't care about people like you who are pretty good people. I used to treat people who ship themselves with someone badly, because..it's pretty stupid and strange, but then I began to understand that.. what's the difference? It doesn’t matter if a person likes a self-ship or not, each of us is beautiful for someone or for ourselves, because we are all probably similar in some way, so .. I advise you to ignore such people who treat similar people like you badly

yeah, selfshipping might seem odd or strange to other people, I get that! and people don't have to understand it. I just want others to be nice and respect it - it's what makes a lot of us happy and brings us joy. we shouldn't be looked down upon for that. hell, not to get personal, but my selfship with rayman helped drag me out of a depressive episode.

we all have our own things that make us happy. this just so happens to be mine. all I want is for people to respect that, and if they don't like it, just ignore me and move on with their lives. 😅

Hey! I recently saw your art and posts and you draw pretty cute! I have a question, what is your favorite Rayman game? I love the two, three part of Rayman and origin for their mystical and pleasant atmosphere! (And part 3 also hurt me because of those same ghosts on one of the levels..thank you damn it-)

my favourite rayman game is rayman 3! it was the first game in the series that I played, so I feel very sentimental towards it, if that makes sense. ^^ it just has everything that I love in a game - the platforming is great, I love the combat system, the graphics are super fun and if you ask me, still hold up today - and the HUMOR. I don't care what others say, I am a SUCKER for the stupid kind of ironic humor that rayman 3 has 😆

they don't do much for me, honestly, but I'd imagine ray thinks they can be fun every now and then! he loves a good scare. I am one of two things: either I'm terrified and fearing for my life, or I'm as indifferent and apathetic as can be, there is no in-between LOL. I never do well with horror movies for this reason; I ruin it by talking about how fake it looks all the time 😔

sometimes that stuff can hit hard for me on a bad day, though, and I get REALLY paranoid. ray is ofcourse there to reassure me that it's just for fun and nothing is actually going to hurt me, he'll hold my hand the entire time if I need it :)

...honestly, I think we both share one braincell, LOL. we are dumbasses in love. there is no sensibility here. only chaos 😆 if I HAD to pick, though, I'd say I'm the more sensible one by a teeny tiny margin, purely because I have a tendency to overthink.

Calico: Do you consider yourself lucky that you met your f/o? Do they consider themselves lucky that they met you? Why?

YES. I ABSOLUTELY consider myself lucky that I met ray - or, well, rather, got introduced to him. he's done wonders for my mental health and he's helped me through so much... he's quite literally the light of my life. he got me through a depressive episode, for crying out loud - he means a lot to me! I don't know where I would be without him. <3

vice versa, I like to think he feels just as lucky to have met me - to have someone love and appreciate him as unconditionally as I do, even with his flaws. and no matter how often he might fall down, I will always be there to cheer him on and help him get back up again.

I'd normally say I don't believe in soulmates - much less with a fictional character - but... at this point, I don't give a damn how 'weird' it might seem to others. sometimes I do really think he's my soulmate. ^^' he's my everything. 💜
