Summary: you and Wade are both single on valentine’s day
Warnings: fluff
Notes: Y/N means your name Y/N/N means your nickname
Valentine’s day was rapidly approaching and everyone in the apartment had someone to spend it with. Except for you and Wade. They were going to be all alone on the most romantic day of the year.
Plopping down on the couch planning to spend the night alone watching different rom-coms. Trying to make it feel like you’re in the perfect relationship even though you’ve never been in one even close to perfect. Joining (Y/N) not long after, Wade tried to pick up the remote and change what they were going to watch. But (Y/N) was quick to snatch it out of his hands before he could.
"Hey!" He rubbed his hand as if it hurt him. Pouting to try and make you feel guilty.
Rolling your eyes at him before going back to watch one of the many rom-coms you were planning on watching today. "If you think that's enough to get me to change to whatever action packed movie or sports game you wanna watch you are sorely mistaken sir," (Y/N) huffed.
"You are a piece of work," Wade scoffed. "I'll find a way to persuade you." He winked in your direction, settling in further into the sofa cushions. Marking his territory by making a deep impression of his butt.
"Uh huh," slipped out of your mouth as you brought your knees up to your chest. Now fully invested in the film and not paying anymore attention to the hooligan next to you.
Wade smiled watching you rest your chin on your knees. (Y/N) was invested in the movie but he was invested in them. Except he quickly looked away, not wanting to get caught. Not wanting to be seen as a creep when all he had was a crush. Honestly he did not care what they watched together, he just wanted to spend time with you.
Time passed and before he knew it the movie was over. (Y/N) glanced over at him blurting out, "So, what do y'a want for lunch?"
"Shit (Y/N/N) you scared me!" Wade jumped in his place. Hand to his chest as if his heart was about to burst.
"Oh sorry," you stifled a laugh or two. "I didn't realize you were so into romantic comedies," you teased.
"Ha ha." He dryly responded. "More like I was doing anything and everything in my power to stay awake during that garbage."
"Mmhmm," you hummed. Rolling your eyes, not believing him a single bit. "So I'll just make sandwiches then?" (Y/N) said as she got up off the couch. Walking towards the kitchen.
Getting up after you Wade followed into the kitchen. Sitting on the barstool at the island. Watching contently as (Y/N) made different sandwiches. "I don't get a fancy lunch today since it's Valentine's Day?" He quizzed batting his eyelashes, trying to look innocent.
Scoffing at his remark (Y/N) answered, "Sure. If you were my boyfriend."
"What?" Wade almost choked on one of the halves of his sandwich.
"I'm just saying that if I had a boyfriend on Valentine's Day I would spoil him with cooking and baked goods. But I'm doomed to be alone forever!" You stated dramatically.
"Oh that's not true," he brushed off. "If anyone's gonna be alone forever it's gonna be me."
"I can't tell if your making fun of me or trying to make me feel better," (Y/N) raised her eyebrow at him. Taking a bite of her fresh sandwich before continuing, "either way I guess we'll both be alone together. Er- I mean forever." You quickly raised your sandwich to your mouth, eyes darting away from Wade. A severe blush on your face and neck that can't be hidden. One so bright it makes everyone else blush just by looking at it.
Silence came over the apartment as the lunch hour came to a close. You and Wade both headed back to the living area to watch another movie. They continued to watch movies for the rest of the day- only getting up when they were hungry or needed to use the restroom. Soon their roommates would come back home with or without their significant other, while Wade and (Y/N) were half asleep on the couch.
As the clock rolled past midnight Wade stretched his arms and legs, moving his body on the couch to become more comfortable. (Y/N) also stretched they’re arm out- into Wade's face proceeding to push him away. Groaning Wade wrapped his arms around them, bringing you in close to him. Stopping you from flailing your arms around everywhere.
"I think it was a good valentines day," you mumbled. Yawning before falling back asleep, cheek squished up against the couch cushion.
"No. It was the best singles awareness day I've ever had," Wade's eyes were barely awake as he looked at the person in his arms. Cheek just as squished into the cushion as theirs.
"Are you trying to one up me Wilson?" you whispered.
Leaning his forehead onto yours Wade came back with, "now I am." Gently coming in to kiss your lips goodnight.

Summary: so i had a weird dream and thought why not make a new series from it. i know i’m not done with my peter parker series but if you haven’t noticed i have major writers block for that at the moment so here is part one of step-daughter called escort.
you were lost on your way to school. you'd think that your father being the dean of your college he could take you himself but that's not how he rolls. he makes all of his children walk to school because they need the exercise. you can't even drive to school because you live close enough to the campus it just doesn't make sense too. but somehow you still got lost.
you hear the light roar of a golf cart engine coming up next to you, it was two teachers heading for the main building. "hey sweetheart," a very attractive, built male stopped to talk, "are you lost?"
blushing intensely you hated to admit it considering how often you had been here but you were. lowering your head looking to the ground your voice just above a whisper you replied, "yes."
"well hop in we will escort you the rest of the way!" he sounded excited.
"okay thanks. just don't tell my dad." you sit in the back seat.
"why would we tell your dad?" the other man who had a new beer belly asked.
as the golf cart started up your eyes didn't blink, just looking forward as you thought about what to say. you didn't want people to know who you step father was. and you certainly didn't want people to know why he had you transferred under his care and eagle eye. "oh uh, it's just my dad would freak if he found out i wasn't walking all the way to school he is a real heath nut." you giggled out the tension building up.
"what's your name? maybe i have you in one of my classes." the buff man casually changed the subject.
"oh um (y/n) barnes."
before either of the men could say anything else they looked at each other knowingly. "what? did i say something wrong?"
"no no. but i do have you for your english class. i'm your english professer steve rogers." he smiled to himself.
"oh yeah," a lightbulb lit in your head remembering your schedule for the day. "who are you?" you tapped the other guy lightly on the shoulder.
"huh, oh i'm carson white. in charge of what food is in the cafeteria."
"but no one eats at the cafeteria," you blurt out not thinking.
"thanks for the input," he sighs.
steve starts laughing at your comment while you apologize a thousand times. "i really am sorry. i didn't mean it. it's just once people get to college they don't eat in the cafeteria as much as they used to."
"i know it's okay ms. barnes." carson turned to look you in the eye.
"oh you don't have to-" you were cut off by the golf cart stopping and steve saying, "we are here and we are late."
hustling inside the building the three of them ran into the dean, james buchanan barnes.
break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored - Peter Parker
part four - Sweetener Series
Song: break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored - Ariana Grande
Prompt: “she’s right there”
Summary: Peter introduces you to his new girlfriend
Warnings: angst
You were bent out of shape after Peter officially told you he and that girl were going on a date. Boarded up in your room trying not to hear anything from anyone about them. Crying your eyes out as you listened to sad songs. Nothing could make you feel better, not even when MJ came over with greasy food.
Eventually though you had to leave your room to go to school. As you walked through the halls eyes were staring at you all day, probably wondering what was going on in your head. You were an absolute mess but tried your best to keep it hidden. Doesn’t mean others cared.
“(Y/N) i’m so sorry to hear,” Gwen sounded sad, “I was rooting for you and Peter.”
A puzzled look came across your face and she left your vision before you could say anything about it. As for MJ she was your angel staying by your side throughout the whole thing. The only thing she said about the situation the whole day was that everybody was being an insensitive prick. And you had to agree.
At lunch you sat at the back of the cafeteria trying to stay out of sight of people. But of course Peter found you and sat with you, probably wanting to check on you. Which you were getting really tired of. You already knew you were a wreck you didn’t need other people acknowledging it too.
“Hey,” Peter said sweetly making your heart flutter.
“Hi,” you responded trying not to smile, “why are you sitting here?”
“I know people are giving you a hard time today. I thought i would just come by and be here for you if you wanted to, i don’t know vent or anything.” Peter talked as he ate.
You smiled to yourself secretly liking the gesture. But you didn’t say anything else, also liking the silence between the two of you. Unfortunately you don’t always get what you want. For a girl walked up to you a minute later and seemed to be real friendly with Peter. She looked familiar but you couldn’t remember where you had seen her before.
“Is anyone sitting here?” she asked you sweetly.
“No,” you said hesitantly. Thankful you had another seat next to you for MJ to sit in.
She sat down next to you with a smile and then proceeded to ignore you. Talking to Peter the whole time which annoyed you to pieces. But it couldn’t be stopped, they were acting too cute for you to stop. At one point right before it was time for the next bell to ring it got to the point where you couldn’t hide how you felt anymore.
“Ugh!” you moaned out loudly.
“What? Are you okay?” Peter asked immediately looking at you concerned.
“I wanted to sit here to be alone,” you sighed, “and then you sit here which i’m fine with but then this bitch sits here and you ignore me!”
“(Y/N),” Peter said with a sad face.
“How dare you!” the girl said.
Looking next to you, you raised an eyebrow confused as to what she could possibly mean. “Excuse me?” you huff.
“How dare you call me a bitch!”
“I’ll call you whatever i want! it’s not like your dating Peter anyway. Now that girl I would try to be nice too,” you smirk only to have it wiped from your face seconds later.
“Uh, (Y/N),” Peter rubbed his neck afraid to look at you, “she’s right there.”
“What?” you scoff, eyes wide.
“She’s my-” the rude girl interrupted him, “Girlfriend! That’s right i’m his new girlfriend.” she smiled proudly.
“Good luck with this one Parker,” you playfully tease even though you meant every word.
Peter nervously chuckled as you finished saying your sentence. Knowing you were right. This girl was a total monster. He should’ve just stayed single.
Dodging Peter left and right seemed like the right thing to do after your transaction with his new side piece a few days ago. It was not the easiest thing to do considering you had most of your classes with him. But you tried your best to not talk, look or interact with him at all just so you wouldn’t have to deal with his “girlfriend.” She was a piece of work who knew how to drive you up the wall.
You were never one for revenge but you had so many emotions inside, and no idea how to handle them. So you went out and found yourself your own side piece. He was handsome but MJ thought you were being reckless. Deep down you knew she was right but you couldn’t explain what you needed, what you wanted. You weren’t even sure what that was at this point.
All you wanted to do was forget about Peter and the history you had together. Knowing that was impossible a little distraction never hurt anybody. At least you thought.
“Flash!” you laughed loudly slapping his arm playfully as you walked into school the next morning. Nervous butterflies danced around in your stomach.
Peter eyed you with a steely gaze, almost protectively. His girlfriend caught where his eyes landed and moved her body obstructing his vision. Making him very upset. He didn’t like the idea of his best friend hanging around with Flash Thompson of all people.
Walking to your locker with Flash a blank expression on your face. Peter wanted to read you so badly but you were making it extremely difficult with no emotion in your eyes. Opening the lightweight door open you pushed the books you didn’t need right away into it. Leaving your first period books in your bag.
Closing the locker you sighed sadly, not proud of what you were doing. Looking to the sighed you jumped up startled by Flash’s face being so close to yours. “what the fuck Flash!” you held your hand to your chest.
“Just waiting so i can walk you to class,” Flash let a toothy grin come over his features.
Raising your eyebrows, curious if this was real or not. This is not the Flash you knew. This is not the Flash you signed up for when you asked him out. But it just might be better than expected.
The day went by agonizingly slow, Flash walked you to every class like a puppy. It was already starting to get old. You were starting to think that it wasn’t even worth it anymore. When school got out you bolted out of the big doors trying to get away from all your friends wanting to know what was going on.
Practically running home to sit on the fire escape and look out at the city. Pondering your thoughts, being interrupted by a flying spiderboy coming by landing next to your body. You tried to crawl back into your room through the window. But Peter took hold of your wrist stopping you from going inside.
“What is with you today (Y/N)?” Peter asked as he took off his mask. You could see worry fill his eyes.
Looking down through the holes in the fire escape you sighed before confessing, “i got a bad idea.”
“What does that mean?” he let you go.
“I’m just having trouble communicating my feelings and what i need Peter,” you shrugged. “It’s no big deal.”
“I still don’t understand,” Peter leaned against the railing, intently listening to you.
“I thought it would be a good idea to date someone else!” you raised your voice trying to keep you true intentions to yourself. “i was wrong.” a tear rolled down your cheek.
Coming close to you Peter lifted his hand up to your silky soft cheek, wiping the tear away with his thumb. “Then why don’t you break it off?” he questioned quietly.
You were silent. Not sure what to respond, you didn’t know if you wanted to break it off. Even though you knew Flash wasn’t for you. Your brain felt crowded with useless information. Black overcame your eyesight and your knees went weak. Fainting into Peter’s arms. His strong hold keeping your head from falling to the ground. You had fainted.
Peter somehow got you into your bed while you were passed out. When you woke up in your bedroom you were confused as to how you got there. Thinking about the last thing you could remember a conversation with Peter came to mind. Looking for your phone you picked it up turning it on to see it blown up with worried messages from your friends. Making you wonder what day was it?
It was springtime and you were just about to leave for date night, when an unexpected visitor came barging through your door. It was your friend. Drunk as a dog.
"Hey," He slurred when he laid his eyes on you.
"Your drunk," you stated, really annoyed you rolled your eyes and tried to get him in your bed so he can sleep.
Laying water and Advil on the nightstand for when he wakes up. You sigh as you close the door disappointed in him, leaving for your date a few minutes late.
Meeting Steve at your usual place you apologize for being late. Telling him that your friend came over right before you left and let him stay over while you were going out. He seemed fine with this at first but as the date came to an end, something changed. When you reached your apartment Steve was hesitant to come in knowing who was on the other side of the door.
"It's alright to come in, he's sleeping we can do whatever we want," you pull him into the living area by his wrist.
"I don't know why you encourage his behavior (Y/N)," Steve said sitting on the couch next to you.
"I never EVER! Encourage his drinking Steve," you say taken back by his tone. “He was sober for almost two months but getting clean is hard! I will always be here for him, no matter what."
"Your loyalty is one of the reasons I fell for you," he breathed.
Silence came over the room as the two of you looked over one another. Right when you were about to kiss you here a loud thump from your bedroom.
"Aw shit," you mumble an inch from Steve's face.
"Let him figure it out for himself," he pulled you closer to him.
"Okay," you gave in letting him kiss you tenderly.
As your kissing intensified the door to your room swung open. Pulling away from his swollen pink lips looking in the direction of the sounds, you see your friend stumbling for the kitchen. As you started to get off the couch Steve pulled at your hand trying to bring you back to him.
Looking down at him you plead, "Just let me make sure he took the Advil i left him, okay," you kiss his forehead.
Heading toward the kitchen you hear your friend rifling through your pantry for something. Only stopping when you come within the vicinity of his presence.
"Hey gUrl!" he happily slurred dropping some food on the ground.
"Hey, how ya feeling?" you asked rubbing his back.
"Okay I GuEss," he hiccuped in your face.
"Alright buddy," you pushed him away, "lets brush your teeth."
"Your nice, and prEtty," he emphasized with another hiccup.
“Thank -" Steve interrupted your drunk conversation bursting into the kitchen.
"Enough chit chat," he rudely pushed past you. Looking furiously at your friend.
"HeY SteVe Buddy," your friend tried to go in for a hug. But Steve crossed his arms over his chest in a 'hell no' kind of stance.
“You need to stop coming over here whenever you decide to get drunk!” Steve poked at his chest.
“Steve,” you said disappointed.
“I juSt wanted to be SomeWhEre safe,” your friend hiccuped. You appreciated that he felt safe with you whenever he spiraled out of control.
“Why do you always have to be his safety net?” Steve didn’t understand.
“Because we’ve known each other since birth,” you answered head low.
Steve stopped, lowering his arms to the side. He somehow never knew this information. He felt like an idiot, “(Y/N) i’m sorry. I didn’t-” you interrupted him. Having enough of his shit.
“Steve, it’s okay.” your voice as light as possible, “you never asked. you just knew we were friends.”
“But it’s not okay,” he stepped toward you, “i’m your boyfriend and should really pay more attention to these things. You are the one i care about most.” He tried to touch his hands to your arms.
“Then show me you care!” you raised your voice, making your friend jump a bit causing him to hiccup.
You and Steve were both getting worked up. Your friend stuck in the middle. Steve didn’t know how to show you he cared, at least not in that moment. So ultimately he thought the best thing to do was just to leave. Backing up towards the front door not saying a word. A sad expression started to show on your face.
“Steve,” you cried out, “what are you doing?”
“Leaving.” he simply stated opening the door and leaving. Just like he said.
Silent tears started to roll down your cheeks, the person you wanted wiping them away just walked out of your life. Mustering up enough sense you spoke to your still drunk friend, “(Y/F/N) did you take the advil i left for you?”
“Yes,” his voice was calm, “did that just happen because of me?” he asked, slurring less.
“No sweetie. It was going to happen eventually,” you sighed. Your heart had a hole in it now. But you were in no rush to fill it.
