Kimmuriel at the Academy headcanon rolling in my brain

like all of the Oblodran male kids had to spend some time at the Academy depending on their skills (if they were talented at psionics they studied only 1-2 years in institute (like Kimmuriel), in case of lack of psionic talent they went trough the whole academic process (like Hazaufein at Sorcere and Drizfryn at MM).

Altrough Kimmuriel was a born psion, Matron Kyorl sent him to the Sorcere for the reason "he studied so long from gith and illithid, he really needs to see some drow society stuff too" so Kimmy ended up under the tutorship of his uncle, the famous Spider Mage worming himself trough rare books about the Astral plane, scrying magic and astrology. Most of the students were afraid or disgusted of him because everyone heard the illithid/black blood stuff but I bet he had at least one good buddy. Who? I bet it too. Nalfein Do'Urden.

House Oblodra inner life brainrot

So today we have a branistorming with the homies about the house members' inner life. House Oblodra was evidently very secluded and it was an open secret that they weren't a very faithful lolthite family. Of course for the audience they made the conventional things (like the girls of the house were trained as priestesses and the family members probably followed the hierarchy and fashion rules in public), but it doesn't mean they did it the same way at home.

The brainrot subject came from a sketch of mine, when Kimmuriel says Quavylene to shut the fuck up and the company started to think about how strict the gender rules were inside the house.

The whole surviving of the House depends on how many strong and talented psions they can provide, also a fact that matron K'yorl used selective breeding and also adopting to have successful children. She saw the benefits of the male psions such as the females. It shows that in the house hierarchy the psionic talent rate would be much more important that the sex, age or origin of the kid. It seems very presumptive that the favor of the child depended on their talent, regardless of gender and age.

Of course in public they acted just like anyone noble, did the lipservice for Lolth and so on, but we have a very strong assumption that in the home chambers a talented male would simply say fuck off to the less talented sister.
