Drow and elf blog recommendations!
Hello! As you know I had been searching in this post for elf and drow blogs to follow, and I got some recommendations for them. I also mentioned I’d be doing a post naming the drow and elf-specific reblogging-blogs I could think of. That post is still opent for suggestions, by the way!
I’ll be mentioning the blogs I know that reblog pretty much exclusively drow and elf art. I know personal blogs that also have a very high content of drow reblogging, but I’ll be focusing on non personal blogs! I’ll be doing a drow-artist-only post somewhere in the future, though.
The criteria for these blogs is that they reblog the art instead of reposting, and that they focus on elves or drow. Also, they’re not fandom specific: Aka they might include D&D drows, Forgotten Realm drows, WoW nightborne and night elves, Tolkien elves, FFXIV Elezen, Skyrim mers and OCs. If there are fandom-specific-only-elves blogs I don’t know them, but you can let me know in the replies and I’ll be adding them! I’d also be open for any other suggestion.
Without further talking, here are my personal recommendations!
@cult-of-elves is a blog that includes both, elf and drow art. I’ve been following this blog for quite a while and the content has always been stayed on topic, and includes a large variety of artists. It’s 100% SFW and provides some real nice arts to see, and it’s also a big support for artists! This blog also tags the different kind of blogs and fandom, iirc
@dark-elves is a drow-only-blog. It also shares SFW drow art of all kinds and features a large variety of artists. It’s been one of my favourites. It has been a bit less active lately, but I’m sure the blogger will be back soon enough! (And it has pages and pages of content to check<3)
@elvenprinces also features both, elves and drows. There is an incredibly big rooster of fandoms in here: From LOTR, to Voltron, to OCs... The content is pretty variated and also one of the blogs I’ve followed for longer, and also SFW!
@all-drow-all-the-time is another drow-only-blog that features OCs and some Forgotten Realm drows, mainly. It has quite the steady activity and a range of artists in here too, and definitely it’s one of the blogs with more pure drow content! Also SFW
@drow-ocs is a relatively newer blog, which focuses on drow Original Characters only. It was mentioned in the original post where I asked for some. This blog helps mostly artists who draw their own drow characters of any setting: There’s a good bunch of Dungeons and Dragons drow ocs since it’s the main medium, but there have been mers, original settings, some Drowtales stuff, even Shadowrun. It’s also SFW!
@drowcember is not exactly the same than the rest, as it’s only active during december. Drowcember is kind of the same than inktober or Mermay, but focused only in drows drawn in december. Therefore, all of the content in here is drow-related, from all the participants in this event. I recommend following it since drowcember is always the best month!!
@my-underdark is a blog I know less, but it’s focused also in only-drows of all kinds, both canon and OCs. I’ve seen some specific off-topic-content (other reblogged art) and might not be 100% SFW, but it’s worth a watch and mention!
As I said before, I’m willing to take any further suggestion and add more to this post. The main intention is to let people know where to find more drow (and elf) content, since there aren’t too many of us out there. I want to thank all of those blogs too since they’re inmensely helpful for artists, since they help on letting people with similar interest discover new arts!!
