my main thing in themes is being able to read and navigate a theme, as well as not having to worry about an eyestrain! like if someone were to use a very simple theme but have a fantastic plot? i wouldn't be opposed. i remember when that was quite common in rps tbh!

honestly what i look for in a theme is if it's easy to navigate and everything is somewhat cohesive. nothing turns me off more than a bad color scheme which hurts my eyes and not being able to find things like the navigation easily.

I like a readable theme (not a tiny container) with dark text on a lighter background. Also, if the navigation is easy to find and use.

I look for accessibility! I wanna read it easily and without hassle. Meaning 11/12+ font, not difficult to read bold/italic text, and 400px+ posts, and easy to navigate pages & navi!

i only look for a legible theme ( a good size font, that the text color is different enough to read aka not just a different shade of grey on a grey background bc how the heck does that work for anyone ), posts that aren't tiny, and a mobile navigation but tbh that's so hard to find. i can't even count the amount of times i've had to just zoom in to see the theme, posts, OR the times i've had to use /mobile to see specific things on a main.

rpcq 17: i'm always looking for posts 400+px, "open" or with a pretty big container if "closed" one, colors that works well together and let you read things without hurting eyes + pretty bigger font o.o nice if have only few links or full navigation in one place

i love header themes that you have to scroll down bc they look so cool when done well, but then it also annoys me to have to scroll down every time i refresh a page.

as long as it's easy to read and somewhat aesthetically pleasing, i don't mind what kind of a theme it is. too much can also be really taxing on the eyes though, and it bothers me when its clear that the admins spent more time fiddling with the main than actually creating characters/plots
