drpcq 60: my own rp actually, we closed because our lives became too busy and we just didn't have the energy to tell stories anymore, but in retrospect it was also likely a bit outta frustration too because while we were trying our best to help build a welcoming and inclusive environment whenever someone did have a problem they would just be passive aggressive in our anons and there wasn't much we could do outside of reminder posts and then theyd get mad and say we don't do enough.

what was the longest lasting rp you’ve been in + what caused it to be shut down ?

the longest rp i have been in was open for almost five years! it was a great community but it also had a lot of issues that kind of came to a head toward the end of my time there, though there were some activity issues as well and generally people were kind of moving on. it fizzled out and i don’t think there was any one thing that caused that, but ooc conflict, only having one admin, and a lot of the members moving on contributed

what was the longest lasting rp you’ve been in + what caused it to be shut down ?

Okay so the longest rp I was in was seven years (joined when I was 11, it fell apart after I graduated high school) and it was really a "we all kinda grew up" kind of a deal. Some of the members graduated hs (and college too), and it eventually hit the point where we all kinda just mutually agreed to walk away and move onto to different things. That was a forum rp, though. The longest Tumblr rp I've been in is the one I'm in right now which just hit a year in June! <3

what was the longest lasting rp you’ve been in + what caused it to be shut down ?

the longest lasting rpg i was in was 6 months and it closed due to lack of activity/interest. after awhile i think it just became hard to promote and we weren’t getting any more new members and a lot of the old ones had to leave for personal reasons or they lacked muse. it was a fun group though!

what was the longest lasting rp you’ve been in + what caused it to be shut down ?

i was in a rp for a little over 4 years (2013-2017) and i think the group might’ve been around for a little under 5? i think the main reason it shut down was that we were all getting busier and had less time to devote to writing and this was back when groups weren’t as relaxed with activity as they seem to be now. i think overall lack of muse and ideas for the group might’ve also been a factor

Longest lasting rp: Probably six months before one of the admins got super busy and didn’t notice how a couple new muses who joined who bubble rped just between the two of them. Activity dropped and the group disbanded.

the longest rp i was in was my own that i ran with a best friend. we formed it in 2012 and it lasted less than a year. it came down because the cliques that formed became so strong, new rpers felt unwelcome. we were on a power trip and if anyone even disagreed with our characters or caused riffs with them to threaten their popularity, we set out to destroy and bully them out of the group. it was bound to implode and we built some great friendships but burned even more bridges. i really hated me.
