Blu Christmas Holiday Movie Asplosion 2022! ⛄ Chapter 43: Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas 🦌 The original and still the best version, even if it's less than a half hour long. It is very fittingly considered a classic. It crafted brilliantly, from an impressive confluence of talent, and holds up to this day. The combination of Dr. Seuss (the creator), Chuck Jones (the director), Boris Karloff (voice of the Grinch and the narrator), and the song, as sung by Thurl Ravenscroft (famous as voice of Tony the Tiger for many years), it just, well a very impressive combination. [Further disclosure, at this point I'm like a good dozen or more movies behind on my posting than my watching- though this probably isn't terribly surprising news, considering it's the day after Christmas, the last night of Hanukkah has ended, etc...] 🌲 Blu Christmas Holiday Movie Asplosion 2022! ⛄ Chapter 33: How the Grinch Stole Christmas 🦌 On to the next best version of Dr. Seuss' classic. I've generally enjoyed this live-action version (as changed as it is) of the story for some years now, though there was a time earlier on where I let a couple of the more slightly embarrassing/stupid moments weigh against it more than they should, but it wasn't too long before I decided that actually tend to rather enjoy it. Anyways, I already had this one in 4K (I think I got it last year), and while like most of these movies, it looks slightly better on my current setup, I will still say, it does look good, but I could swear a good portion of it is a little darker than I remember of the blu-ray. Now this is unquestionably a classic. It's also the 3rd version of it in this marathon, and is both the original, and easily the best. ❄️ 🎄I'll Have a Blu Christmas Holiday Movie 'Asplosion 2021!🎄 💿 Chapter 53: Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! 🎞️ This TV special was short, but again, the original and the best. It had the absolute perfect choice of narrator/Grinch, Boris Karloff. Also, I have lamented for years and years (and years) now that the amazingly named Thurl Ravenscroft, voice of Tony the Tiger, was not credited for his amazing work singing "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" (though in recent times the internet has done some wonderful ridiculous things that somehow feel like they make up for this error...and I do mean the Tony the Tiger/Grinch shipping fanfic). Also, it was gloriously animated in a very looney tunes style, fittingly directed of Chuck Jones. Back in live action (and back in 4K), this is the 2nd Grinch in this marathon, and I'm my opinion a notable improvement upon the one I watched earlier. ❄️ 🎄I'll Have a Blu Christmas Holiday Movie 'Asplosion 2021!🎄 💿 Chapter 39: How the Grinch Stole Christmas 🎞️ It seems a lot of people don't care for this version, either because they think it's too dark, or too far from whatever they loved about the original animated version and/or the book, but they generally still admit Jim Carrey did a good job. Personally, I think it's delightful, and funny, and Jim Carrey did a great job. Different from the original(s)?
