dana's tenure is long. perhaps one of the longest of those left standing in the hospital. she's been walking the halls since the early nineties, from her earliest days when she wasn't long out of nursing school herself to now. she's seen the hospital change, not only in its administration and the way it was run, but the physical changes as well. departments moved, departments shut, departments reopened. renovations galore, knocking down walls and building new ones a foot away in their place. she's seen it all.
it's how she knows where to hide when the paperwork has stacked up to a level that she's got no choice but to hide for an hour to get it done. if she doesn't hide, then it won't get done. if it doesn't get done then she'll have to take it home and it'll mean another argument with benji over what's become of ptmc in recent years.
when the door to the empty corridor opens, dana looks up from the schedule she's plotting on an out of commission bed, covered in red pen marks and sticky notes of requested leave she's working around. she loves the holidays, but scheduling them are her nightmare come to fruition each and every year. "i know i didn't tell you about this spot. who did?" she asks, regarding kendra as she gazes over the top of her glasses. "if people are talking about my hiding places, i might just have to stop being so nice and telling the lucky few about them."
