Drunken Illusions : Falze
@zerohallows
It had been a long night; there were very few Valentines that Faline had spent alone. Whether it was with a high school boy, her family, or Bambi she always had someone who would fawn over her on a day that focused on not being alone. In this shitty little town, though, she had no one to give her chocolates or spend the day making her feel like she was wanted by someone. Instead, she spent the day growing accustomed to the idea that Copper wouldn’t be staying with her any longer, walking about the town tirelessly, and eventually setting town in the Court of Miracles. Ever since the messy shit with Gaston she wasn’t welcomed in the Hunted Deer anymore, nor did she really feel comfortable in Pixies with all the hot men just oozing overpriced drinks with little quality to them.
Instead, Faline found herself with a drink at the bar of the Court, building a hefty tab that was sure to hurt when she realized it in the morning, it’s okay her parents would help her and her job often helped ease the problems. She frowned a little bit as last call was sent out around the court and realized it was time for her to head on her way, the day no longer Valentine’s day –eve but instead, Valentine’s Day. Just Valentine’s day, the day where every stupid couple made lonely single people hyper aware they were alone.
Sad, drunk, and lonely, she walked home heavy hearted. Her feet dragging along the ground and her body barely wanting to move forward, wanting to fast forward to the moment that she would be in her lonely bed, passed out and wake up tomorrow with a sharp headache and a desperation to eat a greasy breakfast in order to cope with her stupid decisions from the night she was now living.
Stumbling along, though, she noticed someone in the distance. She couldn’t really tell who or what they were, but they were a person. Smiling, she thought about going home to a quiet, empty apartment or chatting up a stranger. The latter seemed like a better option, though not a normal one for Faline. She rushed forward, her feet stumbling forward, frequently she almost lost her balance falling forward onto the concrete in front of her. Instead she made it though, up to the girl now standing in front of her, apparently taking an evening walk.
Faline smiled, a somewhat embarrassed goofy grin, her drunkedness wanting to find company and attention in light of the newly given holiday. “Umh. Hi I’m Faline.” She began excitedly at the prospect of not being alone any longer. “And you really shouldn’t be walking alone at night. Isn’t there like a rule about pretty girls not walking alone?” she said, rushing through her words, getting lost in her train of thought quickly. “Or was that a rule about nothing good happening after 2 am…” she added, her mind lost. “I don’t know. Whatever it is. Hi I’m Faline.”
