[LITERATURE] Matriarch Benezia’s Writings To Be Auctioned

cross-posted via Republics Today In pursuit of a means to alleviate their debts, the asari republic of Drushana has announced they will put up for auction a collection of writings from the late Matriarch Benezia, in one week's time. Now known best as 'the Matriarch who sided with the Reapers', Benezia was once seen as a model asari elder whose writings were valued by many. Following the revelation that she was working with the Reapers, Benezia's writings are no longer disseminated, and in the intervening years they have been subject to intense scrutiny as scholars try to determine exactly when she became indoctrinated. The dating and origin of the collection being auctioned remain unclear, but the sale is expected to draw interest from numerous institutions and universities across the Asari Republics, not to mention private collectors. Also to be included in the auction are assorted artifacts and relics from the Batarian Hegemony, as well as other items of historical significance long held in museums and other public institutions of Drushana.

[BUSINESS] Republic of Drushana Faces Bankruptcy

Cross-Posted from the Republican Herald Drushana - After struggling with the cost of providing even basic services in the wake of the Reaper War, the asari Republic of Drushana has announced that it is approaching bankruptcy and requested emergency relief from the Citadel governments. This is not the first aid request submitted by Drushana, however it is the most urgent by far. Other asari republics have been reluctant to contribute funds due to Drushana’s notoriously widespread corruption, particularly the prominence of the Thamosi Conglomerate, whose de facto control over the world’s private sector for the last three centuries has resulted in the more common name of the Drushana Syndicate. Whether Citadel governments will commit bailout funds remains to be seen, but at this point it seems unlikely. What this means for the Republic of Drushana is currently unclear, but a representative of the Citadel Council stated that ‘all options are being considered’.
