From Student To Doctor

Body: Hello, my name is Abraham Wiley, I am married with seven children, thirteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.  I have been wanting to get my degree in Business Administration for a long time now.  I started college for the first time way back in 1975 at Drexel University, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Fresh out of high school and enrolled in college I began the road to furthering my education and seeking a degree in Accounting/Management.  However, something happened along the way and before I could reach my senior year I had two children and found myself married.  As life would have it I had to go to work full-time and take care of my family causing me to put my dreams of having a college education and degree on hold.  Before long I had seven children and the rest is history.  Fast forward to today, thirty-seven years later in 2012 God asked me, “What was I waiting on to finish my education and get my degree.  I asked the Lord was he kidding, and he said no.  I asked Him did he know how old I was, and He said yes; and how old I would be when I graduated, and he further said yes.  He further went on to inform me that if I didn’t get started the time would pass and I would still be that age and still would not have accomplished my dream.  So in August of 2012 I enrolled at Augusta Technical College and graduated May 2014 with an Associate’s degree in Human Resources, a Diploma in Human Resources, and a certificate in Supervisor/Management Specialist.  The Lord said, well, you know that you are not finished.  I said well Lord I still have two children in college.  Of course he said, are you trying to say that’s a problem.  It was but I knew he was not going to let me get away with it.  In December 2014 my youngest son graduated from Alabama A & M with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology.  The following year May 2015 my youngest daughter graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and is now studying for her CPA exams.  Needless to say I enrolled into Southern Wesleyan University August, 2014 and a funny thing happened on the way to graduation December 9th, 2016.  In July 2016, while seeking a place to continue my Master’s Degree program, I stumbled upon St. Thomas Christian University, who has a program that I have always been interested in, marriage counseling.  I had my wife call the university and schedule an appointment with the Dean of students.  After much trevail, the Dean and Vice-president had my wife and me meet with the President of the University who never meets with anyone that have not met with his staff within protocol.  However, he took a meeting with my wife and me and within twenty minutes he said that God told him to confer doctorate degree on the both of us.  Two weeks later August 27th, 2016 we graduated and received Doctorate of Divinity Degrees with our families and friends celebrating with us!  Needless to say we march on to December 9th, 2016 at 3:00pm to continue the celebration.
