Well he wouldn’t go that far but these were the sweets he’d been looking forward to eating since he bought them the day before, so he would be a little mad at her, but not to the extent where he’d kick her out. He’s not that mean.
“Really? So you’re saying that someone else magically snuck in through the window, ate all my doughnut holes, and then left? Even left the window and everything?” He asked, cocking his brow. His serious expression showed that he really wasn’t in the mood for lies either, it would be better if she just told the truth.
“It’s possible,” She replied, keeping her eyes steady on his. “I was not around last night, and--” Her words quickly faded into silence as she read his face. He looked so stern and skeptical, and it was then she thought about the penalties of continuing her story. Would he believe anything she said, no matter what carefully crafted word left her lips? The more she mulled over it, the more her ears drooped and her gaze dropped to the floor.
“...I wasn’t around outside because...” Eden could feel the muscles at the base of her ears tighten against her head. “Because I snuck inside and was tempted to try a few. I didn’t realize I ate them all. It wasn’t my intention.”
