Delicious dry-rubbed smoked chicken wings with a perfect balance of smoky, sweet, and savory flavors.
Ingredients: 3 lbs chicken wings. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 2 tbsp smoked paprika. 2 tbsp garlic powder. 1 tbsp onion powder. 1 tbsp ground black pepper. 1 tbsp kosher salt. 1 tsp cayenne pepper. 1 tsp dried thyme. 1 tsp dried oregano. 1/2 tsp cumin. 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper. Wood chips for smoking.
Instructions: Paper towels are used to pat dry the chicken wings. To make the dry rub, combine the brown sugar, smoked paprika, onion and garlic powders, black pepper, kosher salt, cayenne pepper, thyme, oregano, and cumin in a bowl. Make sure the chicken wings are evenly covered after applying the dry rub. Set your smoker's temperature to 225F 107C and add wood chips to begin smoking. Arrange the chicken wings with seasonings on the smoker rack. For about 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the wings' internal temperature reaches 165F 74C, smoke the wings. Before serving, take the smoked chicken wings out of the smoker and give them a few minutes to rest.
