Why don't you like the new Latina princess Disney is coming out with?

It’s not that I don’t like her. I LOVE HER. I think she’s going to rock. HOWEVER, I don’t like the way Disney is advertising her or introducing her.

She is going to appear in the TV series “Sofia the First”, and they’re advertising her as the new ‘Disney Princess’. Sure, she will be a princess, and she is from Disney; but most likely she’s not going to be part of the official ‘Disney Princess’ line-up or franchise. It’s exactly like when that same show was going to be released. And Sofia didn’t end up being a “Disney Princess” either. She’s just a princess from a Disney show. PLUS, they aren’t even making a movie to introduce her, she will be introduced in a show. Giving her less screen time, and making her a SECONDARY character.And now everywhere I see a story about her it’s like: “Disney Introducing Their First Latina Princess.” And everyone is saying “its so great”, “finally” and I see them SETTLING.To me Disney is saying: “We want to be considered as diverse and inclusive by all cultures, but we don’t have the time to(want to) make a movie out of this culture. Let’s just give them an appearence in a show and make it seem as big as the rest.”THE LATIN AMERICAN CULTURE IS NO LESS OR MORE THAN ANY OTHER CULTURE. Why shouldn’t they treat us equally with a full length MOVIE?
