This picture was a New York’s Aids memorial. It was to remember the times that we went through with Aids and the people who were affected during those times as well. Peole say it was a signifcant picture and was very nice. Everyone was impressed by it. I think it was a a smart thing to do, especially for the times of Covid-19 that we are going through right now. 

I thinnk there was no manipulation in this photo. I believe it was very raw and was not really planned. Maybe the man standing there was apart of it? But I think thats not harmful and overall, the only thing that was to be notived was the meaning of the picture. But, before I read the headlines of the picture, I had no idea it was for the memorial. I thought it was just a nice picture. That is a example of the contect outside of the frame changing the meaning of the photo. 

I think the best category for this would be Creative because I thought the picture was just a picture but it was actually meant for something, and that made me think of the picyure in a new way.

This photo shows a young boy holding a gun toy in front of a Arab owned store. The caption of the photo said that there was people arrested because of a raid and there was a boy that was was playing with a toy gun which he has got from his grandmother on his birthday. However, this is not the true thing that happened when taking the photo. In reality the story of the photo is different. There was three photographers who were in  Lackawana who saw Keating telling a boy how to pose for the photo. Keating the photographer said that the boy followed him to the store to get the photographer. it gives an aesthetic look because it gives the building a different look and dimension. Showing the road and sidewalk which is outside of frame really does change the meaning. This is because it shows that it is not busy at that time of day and the area might be where the street ends

This photo shows a man walking and in the center above their is light shining in the sky. There might’ve been a bunch if coloured lights in the sky showing the warmth of the atmosphere and a different light shining directlly towards the man.

The manipulation was not meant to be noticed.

The purpose of this photo was creative because it looks natural.
