My final model, casted from 2 plastic sheets to make each half. The material used to create it was wax melted into the cast. In the bottom photo is shows the original model on the right (created from melted plastic and sting) and the casted model on the left. When the two halves of the casted model were set, I put red food dye in the middle and then poured more wax onto of it to keep the red food dye on the inside. The using a lighter back in my dorm I melted the two separate wax casts together and then added some plaster to the outside to fix the shape of the model slightly and to add another coloured element to it.

To manipulate the wax model I wrapped string around it, then set the string on fire in the effort to only thermally manipulate certain areas. The also did some small physical manipulations.

2nd runner up with brass where physical techniques were used before chemical. Was a lot easier to manipulate physically when it wasn't chemically changed first.

Smaller experimentation with a smaller piece of brass. Used a rusting agent of vinegar and salt with a little bit of hydrogen peroxide. This piece was chemically manipulated first and then some small physical techniques took place however I found that it was a lot harder to physically manipulate once chemically rusted thus why there was only a small amount of manipulation.

Brass has been used with a rusting agent to create the blue and pink on the brass. Has been left for 4 days to rust.

Some testing using chemical elements with candle wax. Lots of different colors to see how well they mix together. Found out to make bubbles in the wax when using the double pot technique is to add water to the pot of wax before pouring it into the cold water. Also best results when swirling the cold water.
