DSECTION MAGAZINE: What was your first job as a model?

BERTHOLD ROTHAS: It was for a gay men’s fashion magazine and they made me look like a “Muchtel”.

DS: With which brand would you like to work?

BR: The one who pays most money.

DS: How do you take care of your body?

BR: Eat good, sleep good, and have lots of sex.

DS: What is the best part of being a model?

BR: They fly you everywhere and you get to travel the world for free. There are very few responsibilities really and you don’t have to take life too seriously. Of course it ain’t sunshine everyday, but all in all It is a great job to get to know yourself and to start off a life through all these experiences.

DS: What do you think about the contemporary man?

BR: I met him the other day. He was very open-minded and he said he was always looking for the biggest challenge in his life.

DS: What advice would you give to young people who want to start a career in fashion?

BR: Dress nice and be prepared to lick some asses.

DS: What is your best quality?

BR: Most of the time I have a smile on my face.

DS: Any movie you particularly like?

BR: Mickey Mouse by Walt Disney.

DS: And music? What are you listening?

BR: Mr. President – Coco Jambo.

DS: Favourite Food?

BR: Krumpirnudel.

DS: A reference model?

BR: Drunk people on the street keep shouting after me: “LEGOLAS”, “LORD OF THE RINGS”, “KURT COBAIN”, “AXL ROSE” or even “JESUS”. And it’s true, there are certain similarities that can’t be denied, but in fact I’m better looking than all of them! (besides Jesus of course)

DS: What are you doing at the moment and your plans for the future?

BR: I’m getting a massage on my little left toe by a thai girl, while answering questions about my life. As for tomorrow I might get a massage on my little right toe. I couldn’t think of anything else besides, yet…
