today i wandered into the forest preserve by my house. i admit, getting there was kinda sketchy, but once i was enveloped by the trees, it was honestly one of the most beautiful things ever. there was a blanket of snow on the ground, and at some parts, i had to walk on (or break) ice. when it got dark and i was still deep inside, it was a little creepy, but this has been something i've been meaning to do for awhile. i'm so glad i chose today to do it.
