Because I love you | Coffrey
It was 7 am when she awoke from her sleep. 7 am when the sun was shining so brightly through the curtains that she literally thought she would burst into flames. 7 am when she lifted her hand to shield her eyes from the bright rays and smiled as it peeked through her fingers, outlining them in a way she had never noticed before. She wouldn't get used to that. She didn't think she ever would. Nor would she get used to the arm wrapped around her waist, holding her close. Turning to him now, her smile turning into a grin as she took in the sight. Adorable wasn't even a word to be used on someone like Joffrey. He was captivating and enchanting, ridiculously handsome and incredibly fascinating to say the least, but most importantly of all, he was hers.
Moving carefully as to not wake him she laid on her stomach, resting her arm over his chest before leaning her chin on the back of her hand. All that movement and still, he slept like a baby. That only made her want to giggle like a little school girl but she refrained not wanting to ruin the moment. Taking a deep breath she slowly took in his scent and nearly died on the spot. It was so alluring so...relaxing she felt as if she were making it up. As if she were dreaming whenever she smelled his aroma. Reaching up with her other hand she gently traced his nose, his lips, his jaw-memorizing it, taking a picture of it and storing it away in her mind for her to keep forever. She loved him, she loved him, she loved him. Not being around him only made it more obvious, the anxiety she got, the need to be in his presence.
She wanted to call out his name, see his green eyes look back at her to reassure her he wouldn't leave her. Wanted to call out his name to tell him how much she loved him. But she didn't want to bother. She didn't want to disturb him while he ever so beautifully slept beside her, the blankets loosely around his waist. She blushed a little thinking of the night before and remembered neither of them had bothered to put on a single article of clothing before falling asleep. She would have assumed his was dead from how heavy his slumber was, but the steadiness of his heartbeat under her palm told her otherwise.
"I love you." She whispered, leaning up carefully to kiss his lips and brush her nose against his softly. Putting her chin back on her hand she traced his collarbone, her eyes going over to the bedside table where there was a picture of the two of them together laughing. And she too couldn't help the smile that stretched onto her face as she remembered that day.
