DSIBVS by @onebizarrekai
what IS ds!IBVS blues powers? I mean I saw a picture of him, but couldn't fully understand it. could you say please (sorry for waisting you time)
He doesn’t have any. (well, at least right now, I haven’t really thought about it) He just has the power of douchebag.
I don’t know what you mean when you say you saw a picture of him. I don’t think I’ve ever posted any?
would DS!IBVS nightmare have a pet chicken named kevin or--
Kevin has been reincarnated as a parakeet now.
Please correct me if I am wrong about any of this: Do people not realize that the characters from "DS!IBVS" do not originate from that AU and that DS!IBVS only uses the characters to execute an idea that probably wasn't meant to be taken seriously? These characters aren't "Dreamswapped IBVS," they are their own characters who are extremely heavily influenced by DreamSwap. They really have nothing to do with IBVS other than the fact that they were used for the joke of the idea.
THANK YOU
DSIBVS has the potential of being serious, but it was only created for fun and there’s no intention of making it something major.
Can DS!IBVS be called ACVS (Austin Crown Versus the Supernatural)?
I guess it can, but it’ll confuse a hell of a lot of people.
Austin wasn’t entirely sure why he ended up in this situation. A series of passed notes over the course of the day, combined with the blatant whispers and even out-loud statements of every individual around him had started to pique his curiosity. He was several periods into school already, and finally reached a free one–a free one that, based on the words of those surrounding him, he shared with none other than the certain someone of question.
For some mysterious reason, the most popular person in the entire school, none other than Lucian Lebeau, who had a comical but admittedly fitting last name, seemed have slipped out the fact that he was interested in officially meeting up with Austin. No, it was less like an interest, and more like everyone had affirmed that it was happening in spite of Austin never agreeing to it or hearing anything about it outside the last few days.
Thanks to Lucian’s position on the high school social pyramid, it didn’t quite make it easy to ignore a perfectly scheduled ‘appointment’ that he never agreed to if everyone apparently already knew about it except for him.
So, there he was, standing outside of what was already notorious for being called Lucian’s ‘den’. It was a room under the stage that was supposed to be used for storage, but was never used as such. Thanks to how charming and witty Lucian was, all of the teachers and even the principal adored him, and he was virtually able to get anything he wanted.
For some reason, Austin sometimes got peculiar vibes from him, but all visible evidence pointed to the fact that Lucian was a nice, popular boy with perfect grades and a good face for the school. All of the teachers agreed on it, all of the students agreed on it. Why did he come across as suspicious, then?
Austin was reaching for the handle of the door, before pausing. Should he knock? He should probably knock.
He took a breath to compose himself, uncertain as to why he was feeling so nervous all of a sudden. There wasn’t anything particularly intimidating about Lucian, and the boy hadn’t given him any reason to be intimidated. Was it his reputation? Was he worried about what Lucian might tell everyone in the school should he do something stupid? Austin shook his head and raised his hand to rap the door with his knuckles. However, before he could even do it, the door swung open and none other than Lucian himself was standing on the other side of it.
“You came!” Lucian exclaimed, bearing his seemingly-usual chipper tone. A warm smile was spread across his face, but Austin stared blankly, still processing the fact that the door was already open. “I knew you would show up. Come in!”
Austin hesitantly complied. He entered the room, taking glances around it. It had been appropriated into some kind of hangout room: there were excessive pillows and blankets, a number of beanbag chairs scattered about, an old couch, a table with a spinning chair behind it, even a small fridge–and was that a TV with a VCR built into it? Who used those anymore?
“Where did you get all this stuff?” Austin asked. He mentally face palmed at asking the most pointless question to someone he had virtually never spoken to directly before.
“Garage sales,” Lucian replied. “But there are other things you would rather ask, aren’t there?”
Austin shrugged. “I mean… yes… why am I here,” he asked. Lucian raised an eyebrow. Austin pursed his lips, reconsidering the wording as he scratched his head. “I mean… we don’t know each other. Why is everyone talking about how you wanted to meet up with me?”
Lucian blew some air through his nose, making a face. “Well, I suppose it slipped out,” he said. What was it with the way he talked? He didn’t talk like a normal teenager. “It’s silly, but everyone thinks it’s such a big deal for me to pay attention to someone, when the truth is, I try to divide my attention equally among people. Anyway, what I mean is–” He cut himself off, looking in another direction for a brief second. “What I mean is that I’ve been curious about you for a while. I never see you hanging out with anyone and thought you could use a friend. Perhaps people took it a little too seriously.”
Austin stared at him, his mouth hanging open. God, he had almost had a heart attack over this. A part of his anxiety had been telling him that Lucian had somehow found out about his… secret, and even more of it was telling him that the other boy was planning to exploit it somehow. But, of course he hadn’t seen it. There would have been no opportunity for him to. It would be absurd that he knew, right?
“… Look, I appreciate the offer,” Austin started, awkwardly running his hand through his short, platinum blonde hair and diverting his gaze. “but I really… I’m not interested.”
Lucian laughed way too loudly, Austin unintentionally wincing in surprise. “You’re funny!” the shorter one said. Austin started at him, brow furrowed in confusion. “Aha… I mean, you’re making it sound like this is so serious. It’s not like I’m asking you out.”
Austin’s eye twitched, his face growing hot. He prayed to any potential heavenly being that his embarrassment wasn’t showing on his cheeks.
“You aren’t one of those people who thinks you don’t need friends, are you?” Lucian asked, frowning slightly. “You poor soul.”
Austin went from embarrassed to slightly uncomfortable as Lucian suddenly reached forward and gave him a pat on the arm. He swore it wasn’t in his imagination–there was something about Lucian that made him slightly unsettling. Was it just how friendly he was? Was Austin not used to that?
“Look, I should really… go,” Austin started, taking a small step back and smiling sheepishly. “I have to study.”
Lucian raised both eyebrows. “Oh, really?” he asked. “I didn’t know you studied.”
Austin’s eyes widened slightly. Was it in his head? The statement sounded ingenuous, but it came across as more of a passive accusation. Austin laughed awkwardly, trying to keep a straight face with his emotions threatening to swarm. “Uh, I… midterms?” he suggested. “B…Bye.”
He whirled around, grabbing the doorknob.
“Austin,” Lucian started, walking towards him with his hands behind his back. Austin froze, slowly looking over his shoulder. “Why are you afraid?”
“I’m not afraid. Why would I be afraid?” Austin asked him all too quickly. “Look, I’m going. I’m weirded out.” He pulled the door open, hearing Lucian sigh.
“… Tell Charlie I said hello,” Lucian said.
Austin froze.
No, no.
Slowly, he looked back over his shoulder, his eyes utterly wide. His brain was still processing what had just come out of Lucian’s mouth, trying to determine if it had just been his imagination or not.
It was absolutely not his imagination.
Lucian was smiling.
Austin turned his body towards the other again, watching him carefully. “… What do you want from me,” he said.
Lucian brought his hands together in front of him, pouting slightly in Austin’s direction. “Oh, relax, would you?” he asked. “You can calm down. I’m not an enemy. I just thought it would get your attention.”
Austin’s gaze fell into a mild glare. “Well, it got my attention all right,” he said. “So, what? Is this the part where you start using me by threatening to tell the whole school that I’m nuts?”
Lucian looked shocked. “Gosh, no!” he exclaimed. “I believe you, Austin. Doing things like that is utterly below me.” He was stepping closer. “It sounds so difficult to deal with. You could really use moral support, don’t you think?”
Austin let out a huff of air. “So what. You feel bad for me and you’re trying to slip into my life out of pity? I’ll pass,” he scoffed. “No wonder.” The chestnut-haired boy tilted his head slightly, a disappointed look appearing on his face. “So much distrust,” he uttered. “What did I ever do to you?” Letting out a long sigh, he shrugged his hands. “Well, I’ll let you go. I don’t understand the antagonism, but I can’t control what you decide to do.”
Austin looked at the shorter boy for a moment. A skeptical look flashed on his face before he spun around, swinging the door open and letting it close on its own behind him.
Lucian let out a hum, sighing slightly as he crossed his arms.
I want to go kinda deeper into someone else's ask- and sorry if you've already answered this but, how would DSIBVS Dream's wing magic work specifically? Would it be like that one scene in X-men: Last Stand where Angel's wings start coming out of his back and he's forced to-[CoUgh] "hide" them? What I mean is, would Sean's wings emerging be a slow and painful process that, just now is starting to affect him? Or is it an 'ow, I think got magICs. sCREEEEE-' kind of situation?
For the record. Just because I haven’t answered a question yet doesn’t mean that you should copy and paste and send it again.
I dunno. It’d probably be a gradual process like Nevin’s. Maybe he’d try to hide them only for it to get more and more difficult over time.
wait i’m confused in DSIBVS, who has which role?? Lucian is the school king now, right?
Basically, but nobody calls him that. It’s not his personality.
While the actual IBVS characters haven’t swapped roles and instead their roles are being filled by the DS characters (and thus maintain their DS personalities), they have still switched roles around, if that makes any sense: Blue is the king, Cross is the Main Character™, Ink is Cross’s friend, Error is Blue’s friend, and Dream and Nightmare have switched with each other as expected.
