Belle could hardly believe it. She was about to start her own library, something she had always dreamed of. Why hadn't she thought of this sooner? Never mind that, she thought to herself.You're doing it now. That's all that matters.
Peter had given her parchment. She made quills out of feathers that the Neverbird left scattered around the island and she got squid ink from the mermaids. Belle had even found the perfect hollow tree to store all of the books that she would write. Now came the hard part: actually writing the books.
Belle knew what kind of stories she liked - adventures. Stories about far-off places, daring sword fights, magic spells, and princes in disguise. But she knew that her tastes couldn't possibly appeal to everyone. Belle wanted her library to be a place that everyone in Neverland could enjoy.
She decided that her first book would be one that she wanted to write. A great adventure. After all, shouldn't her very first book be special to her? Then, she would ask the other residents of Neverland what kind of books they would like to read.
