happy valentine’s day!
who? Deanna Sutton & Joshua Williams
when? February 17th, 2016
where? Cabin
Deanna heard Josh's truck pull up outside of Gamma Psi and was quick to stand and grab onto her suitcase, which was packed tight and zipped with much difficulty. With a huff, Deanna lugged the thing out of the door before he even got to the porch, releasing a sigh when she saw him. "Ugh. What's with the flannel?"
Josh knew that Deanna wasn't a fan of being surprised but he was doing his best to keep his plans a secret from her, which meant he had to deal with constant complaining. So, it was no surprise that the moment she stepped out the door and laid eyes on him, she was complaining about something. "It's warm," he answered as he reached her on the porch. "You ready to go?" He asked, taking hold of her suitcase to carry for her.
Deanna made a face when he came up closer, still eyeing over the look he was sporting. "See, when I wear flannels that means I have little lingerie underneath... when you do, that means you're going in lumberjack mode." She commented, letting him take her stuff. "Yes, I'm ready."
Josh "You generally have little lingerie on underneath," he pointed out to her, smirking a bit. "And some girls dig the lumberjack thing so don't knock it or one of those women might snatch me up," he teased, leaning in to steal a quick kiss. "Good because we've got a little drive ahead of us and I don't want to get there too late," he said, as he used his free hand to take hers and lead her toward his truck.
Deanna cocked her head to the side and stuck her tongue out. "Not possible. Every woman on this campus knows that you're mine." Deanna said, as confident as ever. Returning the kiss, Deanna sighed dramatically when he walked toward his truck, following. "Do I get to know where we're going yet?"
Josh smiled over at her as she got a little possessive of him. He actually liked when she said things like that since being with her made him extremely happy. "Yes," he answered her, putting her suitcase in the back of his truck and then opening the passenger side door for her. "We're going on a little vacation," he added, a sly smile appearing on his lips.
Deanna followed him until she was right in front of the passenger side door, pouting at him. "Babe, that's so not what I meant." Deanna said. "That doesn't count."
Josh knew that wasn't what she wanted to hear but he really wasn't going to give into her. "Oh well," he answered as he motioned for her to get into the truck. "C'mon, the sooner we're on the road, the sooner we'll get there and the sooner you'll know."
Deanna stubbornly crossed her arms over her chest and continued pouting at her husband, even if she knew it was hopeless. She would just make it a long car ride then. "You suck, Joshua Williams." Deanna said, turning around to climb into the truck with a huff.
Josh "And you're dramatic, Deanna Williams," he teased. As soon as she was inside the truck, he closed the door and quickly made his way to the driver's side. He got in, turned his truck on and pulled away from Gamma Psi, really wanting to get there as quickly as possible. "Are you at least a little excited about our vacation?"
Deanna "Wow. I am the least dramatic person ever." Deanna replied and pulled the seatbelt over her chest and lap. "But yes, I'm excited. Vacations are always fun."
Josh couldn't help the laugh that escaped him at that very false statement. "Yea, ok...and I haven't already pre-ordered Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," he said sarcastically. "Good. Because I am not doing a mean surprise that you hate. I promised not to do that anymore. This is a nice surprise and you're going to love it but you'll have to be a little patient, ok?"
Deanna settled back into the chair before her eyes narrowed at him. "Hey. One, that's sad. Two, I am not dramatic!" She replied and dramatically dropped her head back. "Okay, weirdo, how is this any different? Hm?"
Josh "I don't see how that is sad at all but whatever you say. And yes, you are. But that's alright because it's adorable and I kind of love that about you," he defended. "Because I'm not pretending to forget about something important or make you think that I don't have plans. And you know, if you would take time to remember, I took you away last year for Valentine's Day as a surprise and you liked that so..."
Deanna "It is so sad. It's a DVD you can watch online if you really wanted to. And you can say that but... I am not dramatic." Deanna replied, pulling her shoes off so she just had her socks on, pressing her feet into the dashboard to keep her legs up. "Well.... last year is technically when we first got together so... of course I did."
Josh "Well, it would be dumb if I had the other DVDs but not this one," he argued. "Deanna, it's time you accept fact. You're dramatic," he insisted. He glanced over at her as she got more comfortable, laughing lightly to himself. "Yes, good point. But this is the first year we're celebrating the holiday as a married couple. So, it should still be exciting for you."
Deanna looked at him for a longer moment before she eventually shrugged it off. Her husband was a nerd, she accepted that. "I won't accept it because I'm not dramatic!" Deanna whined. "Well... of course it's excited. Still doesn't mean that I don't hate surprises." She said, reaching over for his hand.
Josh "You know how you're throwing your head back and whining?" He pointed out to her. "That's called being dramatic. But again, it's ok that you're dramatic. I don't think it's a bad thing." He knew eventually he was going to have to let it go but if she was focused on arguing about her personality traits, it was better than her complaining about the drive. "Well, you're going to have to learn to like them a little because I love surprises," he said, moving his hand closer to her when he saw her reaching out for him. "You packed some warm clothes, right?"
Deanna looked over toward him when he continued to correct her and prove a point, which made her fake the pout. "Baby, you're supposed to agree with me." Deanna said and slid her fingers between his once more. "I'm never, ever going to like them." She added. "... why?"
Josh sighed dramatically when she started to pout. "Fine. You're the least dramatic person I've ever met," he finally agreed to appease her. "Not even a little? For me?" He asked, giving her his own pout this time. "Because it's supposed to be a little chilly this weekend and I don't want you freezing?"
Deanna pulled the seatbelt away from her so she could lean over and kiss his cheek, immediately moving back so she wouldn't get scolded. "I guess just a little," Deanna gave in for him and squeezed his hand. "Are we going to be outside a lot?" Deanna asked, her brows creasing together as she did so.
Josh perked up as she kissed his cheek, looking over at her. "Thank you," he whispered when she gave in a little. He shrugged his shoulders in response to her question. He really didn't think they'd spend any time outside of the bed, knowing how they got with one another at time. But he didn't want to completely say no to the possibility of them being outside a little.
Deanna "You're welcome," Deanna grinned when he peeked up, liking that something little got that response from him. Squeezing his hand, Deanna blew out from her nose and looked out the window. "Yes, I did... and you better not be taking me to Antarctica."
Josh laughed as she was starting to get dramatic again. "Well, obviously I'm not taking you to Antarctica. That's way too far of a drive and we're not even going in the right direction," he joked, lamely. "And since I am being so secretive, I'll let you choose what we do once we get to our destination. Granted, some of your choices might not be possibly but...you can still say what you want to do. So, start a list, babe."
Deanna "How am I supposed to know where north and south is?" Deanna questioned him again, moving her eyes over what she saw out the window, trying to figure out where they might be able headed to. "I have to start a list? Obviously get you naked."
Josh "From the sun's position in the sky," he joked, knowing that was something she'd never do. He nodded his head lightly when she questioned him, only to laugh at the first thing she said. "Is that really the first order of business? To get me naked?" He questioned. "Not that I'm complaining! Get me naked all you want..."
Deanna "That's really what it is? ... really?" Deanna trailed off a bit confused, keeping her tone to herself this time. Deanna wasn't above the fact that she really was getting him naked being the first on her list. "Why is that so surprising?" Deanna laughed. "Of course it is. I love you naked."
Josh looked over her with an amused expression at her confusion. "You're so cute," he breathed out, squeezing her hand lightly before turning his attention back onto the road. "No, it's not. It's just funny. But alright, you love me naked," he repeated. "And clothed, right? Especially in this flannel?" He asked, teasingly. "What else is on the to do list?"
Deanna scratched the side of her neck. "Wow, see. I had no idea that was actually a thing. Without a compass, I'd be lost." She said, moving her other hand to toy with his fingers. "Yeah... maybe. You remind me of the lumberjack on syrup." She added, glancing at the time. It was already going slow. "I don't know... it's hard when I... you know... don't know where I'm going."
Josh "Don't worry, baby. I'll always be here to keep you from getting lost," he promised. "Really? A lumberjack on syrup? You know you're into this look. Just close your eyes, imagine me all in the woods, starting a campfire and chopping wood. You'd be into it," he insisted. "Alright, that's fair. But you can have some general ideas of what you want to do and I can try to make them happen for you no matter where we go."
Deanna "Well thank you, hubby, for doing so smart in the wilderness." Deanna muttered in a teasing tone, rolling her head to the head rest, wiggling in her spot. "That's not a really fair trade, Josh. I'm into you mowing the damn lawn." She said, drumming her fingers against her knees as they curled up to her chest. "Food, sex, booze, more food, lots of napping and then bubble baths."
Josh "Joke now but when Red Dawn happens and we gotta hide out in the woods, you'll be seriously thanking me later," he said, being completely serious. "So you are into the lumberjack look," he stated with confidence. He nodded his head lightly as she made her list, which was a predictable list for her. "And more sex, right?"
Deanna gave him a little look as if he was crazy, reaching over to tickle the underside of his jaw. "I'm sure I will in between my chattering teeth and complaining of bug bites." Deanna replied, with a firm nod. She and the idea did not mix well, not whatsoever. "Maybe... sure, you could say that. Just don't go full on beard or else I might change my mind." Her lips turned up into a grin now. "Of course. That's definitely number one."
Josh "Even in Red Dawn you're gonna complain? Really? I mean, if you complained about our nation being invaded, sure, I'd understand but c'mon!" He questioned, being dramatic for effect. "Why are you hating on my facial hair this year? First it's too much so I shave and then it's too little. You're very picky."
Deanna "I will never not complain when I'm stuck in the wilderness. I once had to go camping with a boyfriend of mine and I came back with a million and one bug bites. I'm down for the idea but... the horror that tags along sucks." She chuckled when he turned dramatic this time. "I like what I like. Can you blame me?" she asked, ticking her eyebrow. "Are we there yet?"
Josh stayed quiet for a moment when she mentioned camping with a boyfriend. "Well, maybe he should have been more prepared like your awesome husband," he said, leaning forward to push open the glove box to his truck. "I always keep bug spray just in case," he explained, pointing to the green spray can. "No bug bites for my wife," he added, winking at her. "Picky, that's what you are," he teased. "Nope. Be patient."
Deanna "There are still so many bugs though, and then you have to remember to actually apply the bug spray so it actually works and... ugh. The worst." The brunette whined even after she saw the green spray can. "I'm not picky... I just have preference." Deanna pressed. "Oh my God. Seriously? How long is this? Can I get some snacks?"
Josh shook his head as she continued to complain even after he showed her the bug spray. "Do I need to spray you down with this every day so you'll stop complaining?" He asked, being kind of serious. "Picky," he accused, smirking over at her. "Snacks? What is this? The fourth grade field trip to the local aquarium?" He teased as he reached down to grab the small cooler he packed snacks and drink in, setting it down on the space between them.
Deanna "Probably, but that's just because you said something." Deanna shrugged her shoulders, looking back out the window. "Again, not picky." She responded to his smirk. "Yes, I'm a growing woman who needs snacks. Who does roadtrips without snacks?" She said, pulling open the lid when he placed it up on the seat. "See? You even thought of it."
Josh shook his head at her, though was entirely amused by it. He just hoped she didn't complain about bug bites this weekend. "Growing woman?" He questioned. "You pregnant?" He teased, knowing that would probably get him into trouble but not being able to resist it. "Always be prepared."
Deanna immediately shot him a look when he questioned her about being pregnant. "Do I look pregnant? No, I just like my sweets and overall carbs." Deanna replied and dug through the cooler, searching for something she actually would know would satisfy her. "This is why I love you."
Josh "You could be in the beginning stages where you're not showing yet," he joked, keeping his eyes on the road to avoid seeing the daggers that were probably in her eyes. "This is why you love me? Because I pack snacks? Wow, here I thought I was a little more special."
Deanna felt her jaw slightly drop at his words, reaching over to smack his bicep. "Wow, no! You gotta stop spreading those rumors like that!" Deanna said, still leaning across the seat until she found a package of Nutter Butters and chips. "Nah, I just need you to remember things for me."
Josh pretended to be hurt when she hit him though it didn't last long before he started to laugh. "It's not a rumor if it's just between you and me," he pointed out. "But also, I can't wait until the day it's not just a rumor," he said, looking over at her with a big smile on his face. "That's it? That's what you married me for? To remember things for you?"
Deanna "So you get to tease me about being pregnant? That's rude of you." Deanna said with a little pout, though soon caved to laugh instead. "You are, huh?" She said after a moment, softening up a bit at the thought herself. It was a definite goal of hers. "Yes." Deanna stated simply.
Josh thought it over her a moment before smiling and nodding his head. "Yep. You tease me about a lot of things so this is what I get," he said. He nodded his head again, still smiling over the idea of them starting their family one day. "Wow. I am hurt. So don't feel bad for keeping secrets from you anymore either."
Deanna "This is cruel. You could be not so secretly be hinting at weight gain or something!" Deanna muttered, making a face. "You always say that and you're always bluffing, babe. But... I still don't feel bad." Deanna replied just about the time she caught a glimpse of what exit they took. "...Are you taking me camping? Josh, I swear..."
Josh "Uh, no? I wouldn't do that to you because that's mean," he pointed out. "Maybe this time I'm not bluffing and I'm close to crying," he said, giving her a serious look to really sell it. When she started to question him, he quickly reached into his pocket to pull out a small, jewelry box, knowing it was time for a new distraction. "I got you this for Valentine's day," he announced, handing the box over to her.
Deanna narrowed her eyes at him. "I don't know, you can be mean when you want to." Deanna teased him and popped a peanut butter cookie in her mouth. "I don't believe you. You're bluffing." She added, though when he changed the subject Deanna whimpered. She knew it wasn't a good sign and he better not have taken her camping. "What is it?" Deanna reached out and took the box, pulling it open.
Josh "Oh, you're one to talk," he teased back. "I'm holding back the tears now because I'm trying to focus on getting to our destination to give my wife, who likes to hurt me, a great weekend away," he said, keeping the serious look on his face, even making himself look a little sadder as he spoke. "It's a present," he answered, purposely being vague.
Deanna "You see, I don't think I'm ever mean. You're just bias and like to make me look bad." Deanna poked her tongue out at her husband, deciding to be playful and less serious about the whole thing. She really doubted that he would ever actually cry, but it was something she definitely would like to call bluff on. "Aw, baby. Don't be so sad." Deanna said and peeled herself away from the seatbelt, not caring if he scolded her again, moving to get more comfortable and stretch out on the seat then. "I thought my surprise was my present?" Deanna laughed before she pulled out the jewelry, grinning. "It's so pretty. I love presents! Thank you."
Josh "Oh, yea. So true. My goal in life is to make my wife seem like a really bad person," he joked back. He looked over at her when she started to pull off her seatbelt, shaking his head at her since she knows he prefers her to be buckled up nice and safe. "You get more than one present because you're spoiled," he teased. He smiled over at her as she pulled the charm from the box. "Yea? You really like it? Because your mom didn't help me this time so I kept going back and forth..."
Deanna "I'm glad you can admit it freely," Deanna joked and poked her tongue out at him to tease him further. With her seatbelt now just around her lap Deanna was able to cross her legs up on the seat and get comfortable. "I never asked to be spoiled! But... husbands are supposed to spoil their wives anyway." She laughed, holding the charm in her palm once she removed it from the box. "Well, you did a good job, Williams. It's gorgeous."
Josh laughed as she continued to tease him, shaking his head lightly. He knew they were getting closer and that charm was only going to distract her for so long before he had to pull out the next present. "I know you never asked. I spoil you because you deserve it," he said, being serious. "Thank you. And of course. I had to get a gorgeous charm for my gorgeous wife." He looked over at her, flashing a quick smile.
Deanna ran her finger over the little charm to get the feel and texture for it, before a smile was cast over in his direction once again. "You're still doing really well on the whole hubby thing. Keep it up." Deanna joked, leaning over to peck his cheekbone before settling back in her spot so she wouldn't get yelled at for sitting wrong while driving. "You did good."
Josh smiled as she complimented him and again when he got the kiss on his cheek. "Yea, well, I gotta be a good hubby. You're keeping up your end with being a good, trophy wife," he joked back. He reached out to her with one hand, setting it on her knee and giving it a small squeeze. "In all seriousness, you really do deserve the best and I plan on giving it to you."
Deanna closed the box that held the charm so she wouldn't lose it in the cab of his truck, reaching down to tuck it into her bag. "Damn straight I'm doing really well. I look amazingly hot at least twice a day. That's more than I can say for a lot of people on campus..." Deanna trailed off, head cocked to the side and a immediate grin spreading across her face. "You're amazing, you know that? Even when you don't tell me we're you're kidnapping me to..."
Josh "You look hot all day," he corrected her, though loving her level of cockiness. On some people, it was an annoying trait. But Deanna made it cute and endearing and he loved it. He loved seeing her all confident in herself, whether it was in her cooking skills, her intelligence level, humor or looks. "Aw, shh...you don't need to butter me up, babe. Cause it ain't gonna work. I'm not telling you anything."
Deanna let her lips form into a little smirk at the little compliment he sent her way. Luckily enough for her, Josh didn't try to quiet her or tone her down. She was always a loud, overly cocky person and a lot of people shied away from that. Josh didn't, which was impressive all on its own. "You're so getting lucky later," Deanna said, around the time a pout quickly formed on her lips. "Babe! Come on. Where are we going?!"
Josh smirked over at her when she mentioned him getting lucky. It was a given, really. The two of them rarely were able to keep their hands off one another but he wasn't going to point that out to her. Especially since she was starting to get fussy again. "Do you know what a surprise is?"
Deanna wiggled in her spot in impatience before letting out a bigger sigh. "Ugh, I know what a surprise is and I really, really hate them. Why can't I just know?"
Josh was too amused by her behavior. Even now, with her attitude and her huffiness, he thought she was cute. "Because...it's...a...surprise," he teased, looking straight ahead now to focus on the road and not her. Mostly just to get even more of a rise out of her.
Deanna huffed under her breath and dramatically flopped herself against the seat, bouncing her knees that resembled like a tantrum. "You suck so hard," Deanna said, whining.
Josh couldn't help the loud laughter that escaped him as she began to throw a fit and whine. "Deanna," he breathed out, still laughing. "You are gonna have to get used to a surprise here and there or else this whole marriage thing we're doing is gonna have a lot of bumps in the road."
Deanna looked over at him with a pout forming on her face. "I vote no. No. Like... let's just say the best surprise was proposal. Everything else is great but... tell me!"
Josh shook his head at her unwillingness to participate in his plans. "Hm, let's see...I vote no," he mocked her when she asked to be told again. He glanced at one of the signs they were coming up to, knowing it was almost time. "Can you do me a favor, babe?"
Deanna scrunched her nose up when he didn't give her what she wanted. "Babe, you suck. Again. So hard." Deanna whined out, twisting around to look out the window at the now what seemed to be trees. "Ugh, nature? Really?" She said, pushing her lips together. "What?"
Josh "You'll be singing a different tune when we get there." He shook his head at her new complaint, glancing over at her. Thankfully, they hadn't come up to any signs that would actually tell her where they were going just yet. He knew what he was going to ask her to do was going to be a bit of a struggle given how stubborn she was being. "In that red bag on the floor, can you take the stuff out?"
Deanna "I don't think so, babe." Deanna said with a little face and crossed her arms over her chest. Sure, she was being stubborn, but again... that's how she always was. When he suggested getting into the bag, Deanna sighed and tugged it into her lap. "What is in here?" She asked, tugging on the zipper to open.
Josh only winked back at her, not even going to try to actually argue with her. He knew he was right and he'd get to mess with her about it later. "More presents," he answered, waiting for her to pull out a second jewelry box, this one containing a necklace and also the blindfold he was needing her to put on for the rest of the ride.
Deanna pushed her lips together to hold in another huff, for once trying to be less dramatic. "A present better be a hint of where we're going because we've been driving for hours." Deanna said, pulling out the jewelry box. It was then a smile spread over her face and she quickly opened it. "Aw, baby."
Josh refrained from rolling his eyes, as she was still being a drama queen. Maybe not as much as before but it was still there. "It has not been hours," he defended, though it probably had been a couple at this point. He perked up a bit when her attitude seemed to change at the new present. "There's two things in there for you..."
Deanna "It's been a crazy amount of hours. Like, soooo long." Deanna said and scrunched her nose up, pouting at him. "What's the second?" She asked, pulling the necklace out to examine it.
Josh shook his head lightly at her as she pouted. "You're cute when you pout," he pointed out to you. "Uh, why don't you pull it out of the bag and see?" He suggested, slowing down a bit as he waited for her to do so, not wanting to get too close until she put the blind fold on.
Deanna "I'm always cute, correction." Deanna replied before she closed the container with the necklace and reach in to pull the blindfold out, her brow arching. "Are we getting kinky?"
Josh "Yes, you are. I never said you weren't. But you're very cute when you pout so I don't think it works how you want it to work," he countered. He let out a laugh at her question, not too surprised by it. "Maybe later. But for now...you gotta wear it...for the rest of the way..."
Deanna sighed through her nose, this time being dramatic purposely. "I'm going to have to be blindfolded and still not know where we're going?!" She said, making a face before setting the bag down. "I so dislike you right now. Especially because we're near trees.".
Josh expected her to have a slight problem with his plan. "First of all, yes, you do. I don't want you guessing anything. So, put it on," he instructed. "Second, you don't dislike me ever. You love me. And third, why are you hating on trees so much? We need them to survive!"
Deanna dramatically tossed her head back and let out a groan before she ultimately pulled the cloth around her eyes and head, tying it in the back. "I dislike you right now," she lied in the joke, making a pouty face. "Because trees equals camping."
Josh "You love me," he said again, smiling to himself as she put the blind fold on over her eyes. Once it was secured in place, he reached out to wave his hand in front of her face, making sure she couldn't actually see. When he mentioned camping, he decided not to deny it and instead clear his throat. They weren't camping, but he'll let her think that just for the hell of it. "You say that like camping is a bad thing."
Deanna "I love you a lot but I still very much dislike you right now." Deanna added on and dropped back, almost slumping in the seat with her arms crossed. He didn't deny the fact they were camping which made her pout even more. "Every camping experience I had was terrible. My boyfriend at the time forgot the tent. The second time I was eaten alive with bugs."
Josh "I love you too," he told her, even though she was trying to be difficult at the moment. "Well, that's because those guys were idiots," he countered. "I am great at camping. I used to go all the time and I have never forgotten anything that I needed, never gotten bit up by bugs or sun burnt, or sick or anything else. I'm the King of Camping. And as my wife, I would make sure every need you have is fulfilled."
Deanna closed her eyes behind the blindfold since she couldn't really see anything anyway, pursing her lips. "Okay maybe, but I need shade, grass, and occasional sun to be happy. Maybe even clean water. I'm scarred from every single experience I've had and I don't like those repellant smells."
Josh shook his head when she continued to complain, despite the fact that she couldn't see him. "The trees provide shade, there is plenty of grass around, sun isn't too hard to find and I pack water when I go camping since you can't always rely on finding a fresh water source. As for the smell of the repellent, I can't really control that."
Deanna "Okay, Mr. Perfect and Prepared. It's not my fault I've had terrible experiences. Clearly they were dumb, and figured they knew everything." She said, laughing a little. "The sex in the woods wasn't even good enough to convince me otherwise..."
Josh "I know it's not your fault. You're a camping novice. It's your ex boyfriend's fault for not being prepared." Even though she couldn't see him, he gave her a little glare when she mentioned the sex with someone else. "That's because you weren't having sex in the woods with me," he pointed out, being a bit cocky. After so long of being on the interstate, Josh finally veered off onto an exit, smiling to himself as they got closer to their destination.
Deanna licked her lips and adjusted the blindfold on her eyes, getting antsy at that point with it wrapped around her head for so long. "Exactly," Deanna said and laughed soon when he teased her about the sec thing. "That's true, because you're the best ever. Maybe you should change that."
Josh felt himself blushing when she referred to him as the best. He didn't say anything though, knowing it would only get her going with the compliments. "Maybe I will," he breathed out as he pulled up to the cabin he had rented for them. He put his truck in park and then shut it off, unbuckling himself. "Wait here," he said, opening the door up. "And don't take the blind fold off yet..."
Deanna "So we are going camping?!" Deanna concluded with what he said before she sighed, leaning her head back against the window. Once he announced they were there Deanna immediately peeked up, searching for the seatbelt release. "Ugh. Hurry up."
Josh still didn't answer her on the camping front, knowing it was driving her crazy. He laughed at her impatience and quickly got out, going toward the cabin and grabbing the key from where he was told it would be hiding. He wanted to make sure the inside was as nice as the pictures before bringing her in. He quickly looked around before rushing back to the truck, opening the passenger side door. "Alright, you can take the blind fold off..."
Deanna eventually tugged the seatbelt off her body about the time he had tugged open the door. She was beyond impatient at that point and just wanted that thing off her face at that point. "Thank God," She said as she twisted around in her seat, reaching up around to untie the knot behind her back to drop, immediately looking around him.
Josh began to grin as she took the blindfold off, keeping his eyes on her face to gauge her reaction to the cabin. "So...what do you think?" He asked, hoping she didn't completely hate the surprise. He knew it might not really be her thing but he wanted a weekend with just them, away from everyone and the drama of Greek Row.
Deanna moved to toss the blindfold behind her before she slid herself off the seat of the truck. Moving her eyes over the scene, Deanna smiled a bit to herself. "Gotta admit, it's super pretty." Deanna said, moving around him to see it better.
Josh stepped back as she got out of the truck and giving her some room to walk around. "Happy we're not camping?" He teased, moving up behind her and wrapping his arms around her body to pull her in closer to him.
Deanna "Yes, because sleeping on the ground isn't too fun." Deanna said with a small laugh and rubbed his arms when he came up around her. "But this is good. You did good, babe."
Josh smiled even more when she said he did good. "Good. I'm glad you think so," he said, leaning in to press a kiss against the side of her neck. "Inside is really nice too," he mentioned, lightly nudging her closer to the cabin. "Wanna go see?"
Deanna moved to step forward when he nudged her until she was up on the small porch of the cabin, peeking in the windows in the process. "Yes," Deanna laughed before she turned and slipped inside of the cabin, immediately grinning. "Aw, it's so homey."
Josh following her into the cabin, figuring he could get their stuff out of the truck later. "Yes, it is," he agreed, really looking around again. He was happy that it actually looked just like the pictures he saw online. "You know what the best part is?"
Deanna moved into the living area of the cabin and felt around for the place. She had to admit, he actually did good. Even if it wasn't her normal taste, she was finding she liked it more and more. "What's that?" She asked, laughing as she moved back to him and move her arms around him.
Josh shut the door behind them as she moved further into the cabin, watching her closely just to make sure she wasn't pretending to like it. As she came back to him, he smirked. "Absolutely zero interruptions," he whispered, moving his hands to her lower back, pulling her body against his, his lips capturing hers.
Deanna laughed immediately at the remark and pressed into him, leaning up so she could kiss him back. "I definitely like the idea of that..." Deanna mumbled into his lips, nuzzling her nose against his before kissing him again.
Josh smiled against her lips at her mumbling. As she kissed him again, he moved his hands down her body, pulling her up against him and lifting her up. "What do you want to do first?" He asked, pulling his lips away from hers slightly.
Deanna moved her arms around his neck a little tighter when he lifted her up, laughing softly. "Mm, well, Mr. Prepared." She said, leaning down to steal another kiss when he pulled back. "What's on the agenda?"
Josh tightened his arms around her, keeping her as close to him as possible. "Mm, I have a few ideas but...this is my gift to you. So, everything we do, that's for you to decide."
Deanna moved her hand up through his hair before leaning in to steal another kiss, then nuzzling her face into his neck. "Okay, okay... I can go for that." She murmured, kissing his shoulder. "What's here to do?"
Josh smiled as she continued to steal kisses and just overall be affectionate. "Mm, let's see...there's each other, walking through the woods, relaxing in the bath together, sex, I could build us a camp fire, there's a little lake not too far from here that I was told is great for swimming."
Deanna leaned her head back when he began to list of ideas, smirking at the general idea about them. "Hm. How about we save the campfire for tonight, yeah?" She said, moving to tap his nose with her finger before stealing another kiss. "I'm down for freezing swimming though."
Josh nodded his head lightly as she made her decision. "Swimming it is," he said, stealing a kiss of his own before setting her down. "I'll get the bags of of truck and then we can change into something we can swim into, alright?"
Deanna smiled at the kiss before she was back on her feet, this time dropping her arms from around him to her sides. "Yeah, alright, if ya really wanna do that."
Josh quirked up an eyebrow at her response. "Well, you can't really swim in jeans," he pointed out, laughing a little. "Are you that impatient to get to the lake?"
Deanna cocked her head to the side and watched him for a moment, before a chuckle fell from her lips and she simply nodded. "No no, you're right. Can't swim in jeans." She said, pulling her coat off.
Josh nodded his head lightly before letting out his own laugh. "Exactly. I'll go get the bags," he said again, leaning in to steal another kiss before heading back outside to the truck.
Deanna pecked his lips once more before she turned around and moved into the kitchen, laying the coat over the chair in the kitchen table. "Hurry up," She called out, before moving to explore the bedroom to see what it had to offer.
Josh "Yes, ma'am," he called back to her. He did as she asked, quickly getting to his truck and grabbing their bags and bringing them back in. He headed into the bedroom with the bags, dropping them down onto the bed. "Fast enough for you?" He asked, teasing a little as he unzipped his bag to start looking for his swim trunks.
Deanna moved into the bedroom and checked the pillows to see how happy she would be with them, knowing she stashed away her own just in case. Though soon enough she was up on the large bed and untying her boots. "Faster than the Flash, baby." She joked and moved to pull her luggage over, unzipping it quickly.
Josh "I'm way better than the Flash though," he joked back as he started to unbutton his shirt. "You know, I gotta say...I'm a little surprised that the first thing you want to do is go swimming," he told her as he undressed.
Deanna watched him for a moment before she moved up on her knees to dig through her already messy suitcase, pulling out her black swimsuit. "Why is that?" She asked, tilting her head to the side. "Sleep was second..." she added, a grin on her face as she peeled the shirt off and went to undo the bra.
Josh "Obviously because you usually find it super hard to request my body," he joked, though only a little. "Really? So, after swimming, you want to sleep?" He asked, not believing that for a single second. "Did all the complaining on the way here wipe you out?"
Deanna pulled the neck strap of her swimsuit around her to lay over her chest so she could undo the back of the bra, trading out the two. "I give into temptation easily, sue me." Deanna said, shaking her head as she tossed the bra aside then scoot off the bed to change her bottoms. "No, I was just joking. I got plenty of sleep before I came here." Deanna laughed, hunching down to wiggle out of her jeans then reach for the bottoms. "You can't sleep on me either."
Josh made a little face at how she was changing into her bikini. Usually when there was changing involved, he got a little bit of a show. "Don't worry. I love when you give into temptation," he assured her, kicking out of his shoes as he undid his jeans. He smirked over at her for a moment before pushing his jeans and boxers down. "Oh, I definitely don't plan on sleeping anytime soon, babe."
Deanna laughed a little. "Oh I'm sure because half the time it's beneficial for you," Deanna joked as she stayed standing to slip her bottoms on, tying the sides at her hips. Once she was done, she pulled her longer hair up into a messy pony and detangled the strands from her earrings. "Oh? Are you for real?"
Josh "You say that like it's not beneficial for you too," he said with a slight pout, pretending to be hurt by her joke. "Oh, I am for real," he promised, grinning over at her. He finished getting ready himself and grabbed them some towels. "You got everything you need?" He asked, ready to get going.
Deanna "It is. I can't deny that." Deanna said and eyed him over for a moment when he finished getting dressed, reaching behind her to fiddle with the straps. "Just about ready if you tighten this for me," She laughed, turning around for him after stealing the towels.
Josh let out a soft, breathy laugh when she didn't deny it. "Alright," he said, moving closer to her, grabbing the straps in his hands. "Loosen, right?" He joked, undoing the straps completely, leaning in to press a kiss against the nape of her neck. "I'm kidding," he laughed, actually fixing the straps how she wanted them. "Is that good?"
Deanna chuckled under her breath at his joke. "You would wish," Deanna said, shaking her head some when she felt the bikini loosen. Reaching up to hold the cups down on her chest, she laughed again, leaning her head to the side. "You're a dork, babe. But yes, it's good."
Josh laughed along with her and moved his arms loosely around her waist. "You like it though," he whispered, kissing against the side of her neck and then her shoulder. "Alright, you're good, I'm good...let's go before we lose all the sunlight," he said, kissing her neck one last time before stepping away from her.
Deanna rubbed her palms over his arms that were wrapped around her body. "Maybe a little," Deanna joked and turned around, moving the towels over her arms so she could easily follow him. "Lead the way, handsome."
Josh looked back at her, smiling to himself as he began to lead the way out of the room. "Yes, ma'am," he called back, opening the front door for her once they got back into the living room. "I think you're really gonna like the view too, by the way. I only saw pictures but it's amazing."
Deanna followed behind him and let a smirk spread across her face. "Oh baby, I'm totally enjoying the view." Deanna said, immediately moving behind him again once they were in the living room.
Josh groaned at her teasing, letting his head fall back. "Oh my god," he whined. "I totally walked right into that one. I should have seen it coming," he complained, jokingly. "Get your sweet ass in front and refrain yourself, Mrs. Williams."
Deanna moved up to press her body into his backside, pressing some kisses to his shoulder blade. "Yeah, you totally did." She said, hands drifting to his hips before sliding up. "I don't know where I'm going. You gotta lead me." She said, swiveling around him to exit out the back.
Josh huffed a little as she kissed his shoulder blade. "The worst," he teased, pulling her hands away from him, knowing too well that they were both easily distracted by one another. "Don't worry. I'll direct you," he said, shutting the door behind them before coming up closer to her, an arm moving around her shoulders. "Think the kids will be ok without us?" He asked, kind of jokingly.
Deanna rolled her eyes some at the little dig before she allowed him to direct her from the side. "I hope so, even if they're kind of dumb sometimes." She laughed, moving her arms around his waist as they walked. "They probably won't even talk."
Josh laughed a little at her answer, though he completely agreed. He loved them both but sometimes he wanted to just shake some sense into the two of them. "Well, they need to talk," he commented, hoping that they would. "Well, if they fix it or wreck it more, doesn't matter because they're not gonna be able to get into contact with us all weekend."
Deanna "They do, but will they really talk? They're both way too stubborn. Look how long it took them to get this far." Deanna commented, laughing. Her fingers reached up to hold onto the hand that was draped over her shoulder, nearing the trail she assume would be the lead for them. "True... but we'll come home to a catastrophe."
Josh "Fools," he laughed. "They're fools. But she's definitely more stubborn," he said, slightly defending Ian. "Maybe. But I think if that happens, we just disappear together. They need to figure this one out on their own," he suggested, pulling her into the direction they needed to go.
Deanna cocked her head to the side when he defended Ian, laughing a little. "Oh she's for sure more stubborn. I've never met someone more stubborn than myself until I came across Natalia." She joked, ducking down to avoid some branches before they eventually came out to where they needed to go. "No more surprises."
Josh "Surprising that you two are able to not murder each other," he joked, knowing they would never actually not be friends with another. He couldn't imagine Deanna without Natalia, like he couldn't imagine himself without Ian. "Why no more surprises?" he asked, acting completely innocent.
Deanna "You aren't the first one to say that... but again, you know when you meet a soulmate? Gotta hold her forever." Deanna laughed and pulled the towels from her arm to drape somewhere at least somewhat neat. "Because surprises suck!"
Josh smirked a little and nodded his head. "Mhm, I know exactly what you mean," he said, pulling her in closer to her and stealing a quick kiss. He let her go so she could put the towels somewhere, watching her for a moment before laughing. "I don't know. I think you always end up liking mine."
Deanna shook her some a little when he kissed her, immediately leaning forward to steal a second one before he could pull away. "Only sometimes," she said, moving to fix her hair tied up. "But the leading up to it sucks."
Josh smiled against her lips as she kissed him again, not being able to stop himself. Though it fell at her comment. "Only sometimes?" He asked, completely offended. "Name three times when one of my surprises didn't end up making you happy."
Deanna "...Okay, maybe you're right. I meant like the surprise but the lead up sucked! You know how much I hate not being in the know," She said, tightening the hip straps before moving to the water. "Come on!"
Josh "Alright, fine. I'll accept that. But I am not doing mean tricks to lead to the surprise anymore. So, you should like them a little more," he countered. He watched her for a moment, smiling to himself a little. "Yea, I'm coming. Just wanted to get a nice view myself," he teased before following after her.
Deanna "A little more but not a whole lot..." Deanna countered and shook her head again to try and prove her point. With her brow ticked upward at his remark, she smirked some. "I know, I know, I'm hot... now come on before I chicken out." She laughed, reaching out to him.
Josh "I'll take it," he joked, sending her a wink. "Oh? You're gonna chicken out?" He questioned, picking her up from behind quickly and heading into the water. He pretended to start to lose his grip on her, acting like he would drop her into the water before letting out a small laugh. "It's kind of cold..."
Deanna laughed at his little wink and turned around to eye the water, and soon enough she felt arms fasten around her waist and shoot toward the water. Her eyes grew wide and she let out a squeal, toes curling and hands gripping down onto his forearms. "Josh!" She hollered, letting out a laugh as soon as she realized he wouldn't drop her. "I know. It's gonna be invigorating for like... two minutes."
Josh loudly laughed at her squeal, not able to help himself. It was adorable. How she made it adorable was amazing to him. "You ready for those two minutes?" He asked, walking a little further in the water, wanting to make sure they were in a good place.
Deanna squirmed a bit in his arms though kept the practical death grip on him, not wanting to be dropped into the water by any means. "No, not really..." The brunette admitted, laugher falling from her lips in time with hi. "But let's just go before I change my mind."
Josh kept his grip on her as she squirmed, not wanting to actually drop her. He nodded his head lightly as she answered him. "Alright. Just know...I love you," he said, stealing a quick kiss before pulling back and then throwing her into the water.
Deanna wasn't entirely expecting to be tossed into the water but knew that would be the only way to get her in there, resurfacing to the top and pushing her hair back off her face. "You were supposed to come in with me!" Deanna called with a chuckle, rubbing the water drops off her face. "Come on!"
Josh laughed as she came back up. "What? I didn't know that," he continued to laugh before lowering himself further into the water. "You're kind of sexy all wet like this," he told her, reaching out underwater to grab her and pull her closer to him.
Deanna rolled her eyes and tilted her head back so the longer hair could dip into the water. "Of course you were, duh." She smiled, letting her body drift toward him when he pulled her. "Please, I'm always sexy." She smirked, moving her arms around his neck. "But you think?"
Josh could make fun of her for being cocky but she wasn't wrong. "You're right," he agreed, leaning forward to press a kiss against her jawline. "Yes, I do. Sexiest woman I've ever seen," he said, stroking her ego. "Why do you think I married you?" he joked.
Deanna tilted her head back for him when he began kissing on her skin, feeling her cheekbones getting warm. "At least you're truthful," Deanna murmured, smirking as her eyes closed. "I know... trophy wife."
Josh moved his lips down her neck as her head tilted back, sucking against the skin for a moment. "The best trophy wife," he joked, his lips trailing down over her chest before pulling back. "The best wife, period," he added, maybe being a little mushy.
Deanna moved her head to wherever he moved, letting her fingertips to brush on over the bare skin on his back. "Shh," Deanna whispered after a moment, looking down at him. "You're too sweet."
Josh shook his head lightly at her when she called him too sweet. "No, I'm not. You are the best wife," he stated again, so she'd take him seriously. "You're my soulmate and I'm never going to let you go."
Deanna moved her hands down over the sides of his neck before she leaned forward to kiss him again. "Ditto," She joked, nuzzling her nose on his as she pressed into him closer.
Josh wrapped his arms around her as she pressed closer into him, chuckling lightly at her teasing. "Ditto?" He breathed out, letting his head laugh back. "Breaking my heart."
Deanna "Yes, ditto." Deanna kissed him again before she kissed his forehead. "But for real...you're cheesy, and kind of my soulmate too. Who knew I could find one at a frat party?"
Josh closed his eyes as she kissed his forehead, keeping them closed for a moment before opening them back up to grin at her. "You like that I'm cheesy though," he pointed out to her. "Whoa, whoa...are you hating on frat bros now?"
Deanna brushed her lips down to his nose, kissing the tip this time. "I know I know, I'm so in love with you and your cheesy self." Deanna said, curling her fingers into the back of his head in the hair. "No no, never. I love me some frat boys."
Josh scrunched his nose slightly as she kissed it, letting out a soft, breathy laugh. "That's more like it," he whispered, smiling lightly at her. "Yea? And I'm your favorite frat boy, right?"
Deanna dipped further down into the water, since it was much warmer than just being out in the air. "Dork," She teased, leaning up to kiss on his chin then chest. "Favorite..." she murmured, leaning up to kiss his Adam's apple this time. "Favorite by a long shot."
Josh loosened his grip on her slightly so she could dip back into the water with a little more ease. "You like it," he pointed out to her. She could tease him all she wanted but she knew it was true. He leaned his head back slightly, smirking as she kissed him. "I better be or else..."
Deanna moved her hands to his hips under the water, before trailing back to the lower part of his back. "Maybe I do, sue me." She murmured, kissing down his chest this time. "Or else what, babe?"
Josh "Suing my wife would be awfully strange," he joked, though pretending to be totally serious. "Or else I'd...have to dunk you in the water. Or maybe I'll start splashing you," he answered, trying to think of good 'or elses' but failing.
Deanna "I think you wouldn't get anywhere if you sued me," Deanna said before she playfully pushed him away, moving back on the water, keeping it at shoulders height. "Wow! You would do that to me?"
Josh "I think you're right about that. Plus, I'd probably get a lot less kisses and I don't want that," he continued to joke around with her. He pouted as she moved away from him. "Maybe. Only if you deserved it though."
Deanna "I know I'm right about that, I'm usually right." Deanna shrugged her shoulders at him and moved around in the water so the waves could go up over her neck. "I never deserve it."
Josh scoffed when she said she was usually right. "Only because you're stubborn and people give up arguing with you," he pointed out. "I don't know. I think sometimes you deserve it a little bit."
Deanna "Hardly, it's because they figure out how wrong they are and stop before they get buried in their wrongness." Deanna said, running some cool water over her face. "What times then?"
Josh scrunched his nose up and quickly shook his head in disagreement with her. "You want me to list off all the times I think you could deserve getting dunked into some water?" He questioned, giving her a look as if he would actually start listing.
Deanna "Yes because I'm sure that list is nonexistent or if it's there is completely inaccurate," Deanna countered with a nod. "You know I'm right."
Josh laughed at her and shook his head again. "You're so damn stubborn," he teased as he quickly reached out to grab her, pulling her back into him. "You're lucky I love it so much."
Deanna had been tugged by him before she really has any chance to get away, laughing along during the process. "I may be stubborn but I'm right, which is why you can't list anything." She grinned, moving her cold hands to his neck. "I am lucky though."
Josh "Oh, I have a list," he informed her, trying not to squirm or show discomfort by her cold hands, knowing she was most likely doing that on purpose. "You deserve to be dunked for how damn whiny you were the whole way here," he began. "And for all the times you forgot about me because you were too busy eating all of Lambda's food..."
Deanna scoffed. "I do not, that's not a reasonable one. You know I hate surprises, so you damn straight better know I'm going to whine the entire way here!" Deanna argued, hands dropping back into the water so she could wiggle around him. She was getting way too cold at that moment. "And okay, maybe a little on that second one... but that's usually after a night out and I get hungry!"
Josh "And you know I love surprising you so maybe you should just go with the flow a little," he countered. He shook his head at her. "No, no. I always tell you, baby...you should eat something. Let's order some appetizers and you never listen."
Deanna "But why do I have to go with the flow?!" She asked, almost whining in that very moment. "I already practically do because I'm forced! You can't have it all, Joshua." Deanna added on, making a quick exit by using the muscles of her legs to lift her out of the water and quickly wrap a towel around her, giving out a shiver. "Okay but if I eat appetizers, I won't eat the actual entree and then I take it home and forget about it. And Lambda's snacks are always so good!"
Josh watched as she got out of the water, laughing loudly at how dramatic she was being. "Aw, baby!" He called out to her. "Come back to the water. I'll drop it and promise not to dunk you."
Deanna tightened the towel around her shoulders by gripping the corners in her fists, giving him a little look. "I think I should teach you a lesson and leave your ass out there."
Josh stayed in the water but kept his eyes on her. "You really gonna leave me out here all by myself?" He questioned. "What are you gonna do? Sit up there and watch me enjoy this nice, fresh water?"
Deanna licked over her lips as if she was in thought, moving the towel to wind around her torso instead. "I mean... maybe." She said, cocking her head to the side so her hands could grip the thick hair and ring out the water. "Careful, don't be out there too long. My favorite part might shrivel up."
Josh smirked a little to himself as he stood up in the water, slowly heading out of it. "Wow, is that all I am to you?" He questioned, pretending to be hurt by her words. "Here I thought you liked me more my brains or jokes..."
Deanna watched him rise up from the water and tossed her hair behind her, stepping backwards so she could make a break for the trail if he tried anything with her. "I mean... your jokes are sometimes really bad, so definitely not those. The brains are there, but it's mainly the glasses. So yeah, pretty much."
Josh scoffed at her when she insulted his jokes. "Hey! I have great jokes and...that better not be you teasing me for wearing glasses. Sorry I don't have perfect eye sight like some people."
Deanna "Your jokes are funny to your people in Florida, not the rest of the real world, baby. And I mean... no... it's not? Even if you're super dorky and make them look sexy. I know we can't all be perfect and pristine like me." She teased, poking her tongue out at him.
Josh moved out of the water and grabbed a towel for himself. "Wow. You know, maybe I should just spend my free time with my people in Florida then. At least they're nice to me," he said, still acting offended. "I don't think you deserve your favorite part," he added, turning to lightly tap his finger against her nose.
Deanna watched him momentarily, not even bothering to cover up the fact that she most definitely was checking him out. Especially the bicep part of his body. "Mm?" she murmured when he mentioned something about Florida and them being nice. "I always deserve my favorite part."
Josh eyed her suspiciously when she didn't really respond to his comment about spending time with others. "Were you even paying attention to what I was just saying?" He questioned her, wrapping the towel around his shoulders. "I don't know about that."
Deanna looked up at him immediately when he questioned her, actually clearing her throat. "Of course I was paying attention!" Deanna replied, tucking the towel underneath her arms. "You know about that because you deserve it, too."
Josh narrowed his eyes playfully at her, not believing a word she was saying. "Prove it. What did I say?" He challenged. He would be honestly surprised if she was able to answer him accurately. "Oh, I know I deserve mine but I don't think you deserve yours. But lucky for you, the only way I get some is if you get some too. So, you're never going to be deprived by me."
Deanna tightened the towel around her slender torso a bit more and made a face, attempting to remember what he said. She was totally bluffing and wasn't planning on him calling her on it, which obviously was backfiring on her. "How how and sexy I am? And how much you plan on showing me later?" Deanna suggested, a sly smile spreading across her lips. "Oh, how did I get soo lucky?"
Josh pursed his lips slightly at her when she clearly couldn't figure out what he was saying and tried to turn it around. "You are lucky," he teased, reaching out to grab her hips, pulling her against him. "And I am too," he whispered before leaning down to press his lips against hers.
Deanna pressed her lips together to hide her smile when he pulled her in closer until their hips met and he was dipping down, soon letting a laugh pass her lips. "I can't argue with that," The brunette murmured against his lips, nuzzling her nose against his for a moment. "Come on," she whispered again, pulling back this time. "I'm cold and it's time for that shared bath now."
Josh was perfectly content with kissing her there by the lake. But she pulled back too soon, causing him to pout a little. "So, from one water activity to the next," he teased, reaching out to grab her hand. "But alright, let's go. Bath water will be warmer than the lake."
Deanna slipped her fingers through his. "Are you complaining? I didn't think so. You're a Florida kid, don't you like water?" She joked, moving to tug on his arm so she could pull him back toward the cabin they were originally staying.
Josh "I'm definitely not complaining," he assured her. "Just pointing it out, Golden Dolphin," he teased, following her back through the woods toward the cabin. "Though I do think, if your goal was to get all wet and naked, we could have skipped the lake part of the adventure..."
Deanna let out a laugh at the nickname, surprised he even remembered that. "You remember that? I'm impressed," Deanna said, squeezing his hand as she walked. "Hey, we aren't naked yet. We also have to get ourselves out of the cabin before we lock ourselves in. It's a process."
Josh "Of course I remember that," he said, a little surprised that she thought he'd forget. "I remember that whole night perfectly," he bragged a little. He really did though. It was one of his favorite memories with her. "Alright, fine. You've got a point. But once we're back inside, I vote we just stay naked for the rest of the night."
Deanna turned her head to look back at him, a small smile pulling at her lips. "I remember it, too." She murmured, a bit softer this time as she slowed her tracks and wound her arms around his bicep. Pressing a kiss to his shoulder, she looked up at him. "I will never, ever, object to you being naked for an entire night so... yes."
Josh "God," he breathed out, thinking back to that night. "I was an idiot that night," he laughed, shaking his head lightly. He glanced over at her as she kissed his shoulder, grinning at her. "You better remember that in thirty years," he teased. Once they got back tot he cabin, he opened the door up for her to go through first.
Deanna "Yeah," Deanna started out, laughing some. "You really were. That, and some other nights..." She joked and shook her head, leaning against him for a moment. "Don't worry, even when you're old and wrinkly and body is less tight, I'll still want you naked." she added, moving in the door and loosening the towel.
Josh scoffed a little at her, though she was right. "Ok, well, you don't even know why I'm saying that but fine. I'll take it. Call me an idiot," he said, pretending to be a little hurt. "You say that now but I feel like I'm going to be that fifty year old guy still going to the gym to keep my wife happy," he teased, walking in behind her and immediately closing the door.
Deanna joined the chat 2 hours ago
Deanna "Okay, okay, why were you an idiot?" Deanna asked and cocked her head to the side, smiling some. Once she wasn't dropping wet she tossed the towel aside and playfully slowly undid the straps of her swimsuit. "I'll keep you excerising then in better ways."
Josh smirked a little when she asked for the explanation, moving in closer to her. "Because I stopped myself," he whispered before quickly pulling her into a kiss. Josh tossed his towel to the side along with hers, smiling at her response to him. "I can't wait," he laughed, reaching down to undo the knots on her bikini bottoms.
Deanna immediately chuckled at the answer she got. "Babe, you stopped yourself plenty. Not just that night." She murmured into his lips before kissing on him fully, grinning when he replaced her hand. "Can't wait to get me naked, huh?"
Josh "I know. But that was the first time I really, really wanted to kiss you. No...wait...that's not true. I really, really wanted to kiss you the night I picked you and Natalia up from the campus drunk tank. If Nat wasn't there, I think I might have actually done something," he told her, letting her in on that little secret. He shook his head quickly at her question. "Nope. You've been in clothes too long already."
Deanna pulled he head back a bit so she could look at him, feeling her brow slowly arch. "You would've, huh? Here I assumed you were mad at me the entire time." She commented, squeezing his bicep. "I don't think a swimsuit counts as clothes."
Josh "I mean, I was a little grumpy," he laughed. "But seeing you kind of softened it a little. And then carrying you to your room...seeing you moving onto your bed. I might have forgotten for a moment what I was doing. But then your little friend literally got in between us and pushed me out of the room," he remembered, laughing a little about it. "They're covering up some of my favorite parts so I'm counting them as clothes."
Deanna "You were definitely more than a little grumpy," Deanna added. "That's cute though. She was under the impression you wanted to stay and talk my ear off." With a shake of her head, Deanna smirked and reached back to untie the back of her bikini. "Good point."
Josh scrunched his nose up and shook his head. "Just a little grumpy," he insisted, though she was right. "No, nope. I wanted to stay but not talk at all," he laughed, actually blushing a little since this was the first time he mentioned this. He smirked back at her before pulling back slightly. "I have those here and there," he joked. "I'm going to get the tub going," he said, backing away from her slowly toward the bathroom.
Deanna watched him and his little blush, grinning. "What? Did you forget Natalia was in the room?" She joked, stepping back when he moved away from her. "I'll meet you there," She said, undoing a knot and pulling a towel around her again.
Josh "Shh! A little, ok?" he laughed, covering his face up for a moment out of embarrassment. He clapped his hands together and let a big grin make its way to his face, watching her a moment longer before completely turning and going into the bathroom. He turned the knobs of the tub on, fooling around with them a little until the water got warm.
Deanna "Wow, you're cute. That also would've been very embarrassing for you." Deanna teased, knowing how her best friend would have never let him live that down. Once he turned and moved into the bathroom, Deanna rubbed the towel against her now goosebumps risen skin, moving on over to the door eventually. "It's already so much warmer in here," She laughed, holding the towel to her chest while pulling the loose bikini off and putting it in the sink.
Josh "Yea? You would've turned me down if I tried to kiss you back then?" He questioned, genuinely curious. He put the plug into the tub, letting it fill up a bit as he waited for her, smirking when she finally came into the bathroom. "You're supposed to say, 'it's hot in here.' And then I'd say, 'sorry, I'll leave,'" he joked, standing up from the edge of the tub. "I can't tell if you're covered up because you're cold or because you're being modest."
Deanna "Well, no. I wouldn't have, but we definitely would have been interrupted." Deanna admitted with a smirk on her lips, having reached the bathroom and leaned against the door by then. "Sorry, sorry, lemme start over. Wow, it's really hot in here..." Deanna said, looking up at the ceiling before back at him. "When have I ever been modest? No no, just cold."
Josh laughed a little. He knew that was true too. Natalia definitely would have kicked him out even faster if he tried kissing Deanna that night. "Thank you," he laughed when she started over and went along with his bit. "And I think it's because you're here," he said, changing the end of the joke, winking over at her. "Well, let's get in the tub then, where it's nice and warm," he suggested, giving her a quick kiss before taking off his swim trunks, setting them in the sink along with her swim suit.
Deanna rolled her eyes when he changed the punchline and moved through the bathroom to head for the tub, pulling the towel off to drape over the small rack. "You're such a dork, babe." Deanna said in time before the kiss and pinched his side lightly, moving him toward the tub. "Get in first, you're bigger than me."
Josh "You're into it though," he pointed out, moving backwards as she directed him to the tub. "Yes, ma'am," he laughed before doing as she wanted, getting into the tub. He sat down and leaned against the back and looked up at her, opening his arms up for her to get in.
Deanna "Again, weirdly I am." She admitted with a shrug of her shoulders. She didn't know why or how it managed to happen, maybe it was a Josh thing. Once he was inside the tub, Deanna carefully stepped in so she wouldn't slip before dipping down into the water, immediately basking in the warmth and reclining against his chest. "So much better."
Josh kept his arms out and hands up, ready to catch her if she did slip. Though he had complete faith in her gracefulness as she lowered herself into the tub. "Could say that again," he whispered, his arms moving around her once she was fully in, kissing against the back of her neck.
Deanna settled down into the warm water and her husband's arms and immediately let out a heavy breath, feeling her muscles relax as she wound down. "I love you," Deanna whispered softly, lifting her arms to rest over his and rubbing the damp skin there. "And I love all the things you do for me. Things like this."
Josh smiled softly as she spoke. "I love you too," he whispered back to her, pressing a kiss against her temple. "I'm your husband. It's my job to do things like this," he pointed out. "Plus, it's a gift for myself too. I selfishly get you to myself all weekend long."
Deanna closed her eyes for the short moment the little kiss caused, brushing up some of the warm water over her chest. "I know, I know, but not all husbands live up to their duties!" She pointed out, tilting her head back to both look at him and get her hair wet. "I always knew you were selfish."
Josh laughed at her, though she had a point. Some husbands did fall short. "Well, I promise you, no matter what, I will always live up to mine and do everything in my power to make you happy," he promised, sending her a quick smile as she tilted her head back. "Now you know the real me. Do you still love me?" He teased.
Deanna let her brown eyes stay locked on his for the few moments that passed before her nose scrunched up, placing her lips to his jawline. "I don't know, maybe you got knocked down like... two points."
Josh actually let out an offended scoff when she answered him. "What? You better be joking," he said, moving his hands down her sides, tickling her as some sort of revenge.
Deanna quit kissing on him and instead let her hands fly down to his arms to grasp. "Babe! No, you can't tickle me in the bath tub. You're literally asking to get water everywhere!"
Josh laughed at her reaction but didn't stop tickling her. "Am I down two points?" He asked in a teasing tone, pulling his arms out of her grip and going right back in to tickle her.
Deanna let her face scrunch up again and let loose what could be considered a whine. "Baaaabe, don't." Deanna breathed out and wiggled involuntarily, attempting to grasp his arms though just sloshing the water around instead. "Like one and a half!"
Josh stopped as she wiggled and glanced out to the bathroom floor, seeing the puddle they would have to clean up after their bath. But that didn't stop him from going back to tickling her once she answered him. "Not the answer I was looking for!"
Deanna giggled almost girlishly as the slick damp skin let her slide down further in the water, her breathing growing deeper. "Well, too bad." She laughed, struggling to hold his arm. "That's the answer you're gonna get."
Josh couldn't help but laugh as she did, watching her move around in front of him and struggle to stop him. "You're in for it now," he threatened, gripping her sides and pulling her back up, closer to him. "You're going to get tickled for the rest of the night," he assured her.
Deanna finally caught her breath when he tugged her up tight against him, that small break from the tickling was taken advantage of. "You can't get laid if you're sitting there tickling me the entire time." She murmured.
Josh should have seen that one coming. She was always quick to bring up whether or not he would get laid or something else from her. "Yea, well...you can't get laid if I'm down one and a half points."
Deanna "I mean yeah but... if I really need to, I can take care of myself." Deanna smirked, twisting around slightly so her arm could reach around him and grip the back of the bath tub. "Your hand hardly beats me, so."
Josh pursed his lips slightly at her little threat, watching as she twisted around. "True," he agreed with her. Nothing beats her, in all honesty. "But...I can say the same. You really think you're going to be just as satisfied with just yourself?"
Deanna "Well... no, but again, that's also if I really really need to." Deanna said, cocking her head to the side. "Are you going to make me need to?"
Josh smirked lightly at her before shrugging his shoulders. He didn't answer her, figuring she could just find out herself when the time came. Instead, he let his head lull back and his hands begin to move up and down her sides slowly. "We should get out before we turn to prunes."
Deanna moved her eyes up and over his face to try and read his expression, noticing the little smirk. She could tell he was either in the mood to mess with her or he was holding a complete bluff. "Fine, be that way." She laughed some, pulling herself from his grip. Her skin had already slowly wrinkled up from both the lake and the tub so she pulled herself forward to stand, wrapping a towel around her torso. Once situationed she stepped on out and rung out her hair so it wasn't all completely slicked back, instead damp and messy.
Josh kept himself from laughing along with her, deciding to hold his cards close to himself rather than lay it all out like he usually did in situations like this. he watched her get out, taking the moment to blatantly check her out, even letting out a low whistle to tease her a little. "Is the towel necessary?" He asked, leaning forward to pull the plug before getting out himself.
Deanna tucked the towel within itself and reached up to wipe some water from her face soon after, cleaning up the fallen flakes of watered down mascara and smeared chopstick. "I don't wanna drench the place so yes, at least for a bit." She joked. "God, you're so desperate to get me naked."
Josh grabbed himself a towel and began drying off, shaking his head at her teasing. "You know what, just for that...you can wear ten layers of clothes," he said, wrapping his towel around his waist, pressing a quick kiss against the back of her shoulder and then heading out the bathroom door. "Don't forget to clean up all that water you splashed onto the floor," he called back as he left her.
Deanna rolled her brown eyes and turned toward the counter to check herself in the mirror, making sure she looked reasonably decent. "It's a very good thing I hardly ever listen when being told to do something," She commented, grasping another towel to lazily toss down on the floor to soak up the water. "Which was totally your fault, but whatever!" She called to him when he left, moving out to the bedroom to quickly pull on some undergarments.
Josh glanced back at her as she spoke. She was right, he was lucky. If she did end up putting on a lot of clothes, he'd just end up pouting. "Don't know what you're talking about," he called back, playing the innocent card. He moved to grab his laptop out of his bag, opening it up and sat down on the couch as he waited for Deanna to do whatever she was doing.
Deanna pulled the underwear up over her hips and immediately moved to his suitcase instead, choosing to opt out of what she brought and instead pull on one of his flannels. "I'm sure you don't," She hollered in reply, adjusting the strap on her shoulder before soothing down the plaid material. She then simply moved out down the hallway and padded into the kitchen with a hum, going to open herself one of the snacks she hadn't eaten in the car, smiling at him. "Isn't it a little late in the day to nerd out on that thing?"
Josh knew it probably wasn't the time but she was being sassy so he'd let her get it out of her system. In the meantime, he was pulling up his email to check on whether or not there was anything sent out from his teachers, coach or one of the recruiters he had been talking to lately. "First of all, I'm not nerding out," he began, looking at his computer screen. "Secondly," he continued, looking up at her and then immediately losing his train of thought.
Deanna munched on the snack and licked the crumbs away from her lips after, moving herself around to sit down on one of the stools. "Sure you aren't," She accused, brow arched as she stayed put and perked on the chair, pulling apart the little packed cake. "Secondly what?"
Josh kept his eyes on her, following her as she moved to sit on a stool, licking over his lips. "I'm really enjoying this look," he complimented, still not remember what he was actually going to say. He also completely lost interest in the emails he had, closing the laptop up. "You look amazing in flannel..."
Deanna crossed her legs to sit comfortably and smiled a little herself, tilting her head back to drop a bite into her mouth. "I look amazing in everything," She corrected, crumbling up the wrapper to throw away later. "Now what were you going to say?"
Josh shook his head at her cockiness. But again, she was right. She did look good in everything. But still, the image of her now, lingerie and flannel only, her hair damp and messy, it was a very good look. One he was going to have to save forever. "I don't remember. Too distracted by my goddess wife."
Deanna hopped off the seat to make her way over to him, eventually leaning down to take away his laptop once she got close enough. "Really? You don't remember?" She asked, setting it aside once she got it closed. "Nerd."
Josh began to grin like a fool as she moved closer to him, instinctively reaching out toward her. "Can you really blame me?" He asked, setting his hands on her hips and tugging her down into his lap. "Whatever it was, it's not important as you."
Deanna "No, I can't." Deanna mused and swung her leg around so she could straddle him once he tugged her down, moving both hands to rest on his bare shoulders. "Damn straight it isn't. Especially right now..."
Josh continued to grin as she straddled him, his grip on her hips tightening slightly. "Right now and always," corrected. His eyes moved away from hers, looking down her body to get a good view now that she was up close.
Deanna glanced down at the grip his fingers seemed to have locked onto before she moved her hand down over his arms, feeling the skin. "Now..." she trailed off, head cocking to the side so her messy hair could follow. "Are you going to tickle me all night or be nice to your wife?"
Josh already knew his answer to this question. While he was very tempted to mess with her, he was way too under her spell to actually follow through. But it didn't mean he as going to give in to her immediately. "Hm," he breathed out, his fingers lightly tickling her side. "Is my wife going to be nice back?"
Deanna rolled her hips once before her hand flew up to still his hand at her side, brow arched and eyes back on him. "You know how nice I can be when I get what I want..." Deanna started, moving her fingers between his to get him to stop.
Josh bit down on his bottom lip as she rolled her hips. Unlike her, the only thing cover him was a towel and he knew she knew that and was trying to tease him. "Well, what do you want?"
Deanna used that opportunity to easily press down again into his lap and lean forward to act as if she was going to kiss him, her hand still holding his to keep it still. "For my insanely generous, sexy husband to be nice to his wife."
Josh kept his eyes on hers and a smile on his face right up until she started up with the complimenting. He dropped his head down and leaned forward, pushing his face against her chest, honestly just to hide it. "Don't start that," he grumbled.
Deanna chuckled at the dramatics and moved to curl her fingers into his hair, kissing the top of his head. "I have no idea what you could be talking about."
Josh lightly peppered kisses against her chest before pulling back, giving her an incredulous look at her unconvincing, innocence act. "Mhm, I'm sure you don't."
Deanna buried her nose against the top of his head for a moment before he was glancing up at her. "I'm serious!" She said, laughing before she ultimately caved. "Okay, maybe not. I just need to get in as much embarrassing you as possible while I can."
Josh shook his head at her, letting it fall back slowly. "You're so mean to me. And here I was, going to actually give you whatever you wanted. But now you've gone and ruined it."
Deanna gave him a little look. "Again, let me compliment you while I can." Deanna said before she immediately leaned in and kissed him before he could try and pull away and protest, her hand down on his chest.
Josh playfully pouted at her before smiling into the kiss. He kissed her back, moving his hands around to the small of her back as he did so. Lightly pressing her down, closer against him. "I love you," he told her, pulling away from her lips slightly.
Deanna moved her arms to lazily drape around his neck when he pulled away and let a smile cross her lips, watching him. "I love you too."
Josh "You better," he said in a serious tone before flashing her a smile. "Seriously though, you can't keep looking this good all the time or I'm never going to be able to actually do anything other than stare at you..."
Deanna pulled herself back from him to kiss him again, nuzzling her nose on his temple. "Sorry babe, no can do. I look good as hell literally always."
Josh kissed her back, chasing her lips as she pulled away before pouting. "Guess I'll just have to deal then," he joked, moving his hands up to push the shirt open and leaning in to press kisses against her chest.
Deanna tilted her head to the side and arched her back to give a little more room to go over the skin of he'd like, a smirk pulling on her lips. "Something tells me you'll survive..." she joked, reaching in for his towel.
Josh smiled to himself at her comment. "Maybe," he breathed out, nipping lightly at her collar bone before sucking against the exposed skin. He reached down to stop her, pulling her hands away from him.
Deanna lifted her brow when she was stopped though a little puff of heavy breath passed her lips at the feeling alone. "What?" She murmured. "I can't touch?"
Josh shook his head lightly at her question before teasingly leaning in to nip at her bottom lip. "I'm down one and a half points, remember?"
Deanna "I remember how many points you're at," Deanna laughed softly and leaned back playfully from him at that point. "Fully aware actually."
Josh "Oh yea? You keep a list or something?" He asked, leaning back against the couch a little, his hands moving down to her hips.
Deanna "A very extensive, long and organized list... yes." Deanna nodded her head and playfully rolled her hips at that moment.
Josh bit down on his bottom lip in an attempt to not react too much to her rolling her hips, not wanting her to feel like she had the upper hand. Though it probably didn't work out too well considering how fast his grip tightened on her hips. "Yet I'm down points?"
Deanna held back a smirk at the reaction, not wanting to give herself off as too cocky right away. "Yeah, you haven't earned any more points yet." Deanna murmured, moving her hands back up his shoulders before rolling her hips down into his again.
Josh was once again gripping her hips tightly. She knew exactly what she was doing and it wasn't fair how easy this was for her. "How do I earn more points?" He asked, trying to stay focus on not completely giving into her just yet.
Deanna lifted an eyebrow with what little she got and exhaled deeply through her nose, before she reached down and peeled his hands off her hips, dramatically moving to the other side of the couch. "Nothing now."
Josh had to keep himself laughing at how dramatic she got. "Aw, don't be grumpy," he teased, turning to face her and leaning in to press a kiss against her shoulder.
Deanna made a face. "Too late, I'm grumpy." She said, then moved to lean her shoulder down into the couch, curling up. She was being dramatic, she knew, but she couldn't help it.
Josh adjusted himself slightly on the couch, leaning more into her as she curled up, kissing her once more. "That's too bad. I was this close to giving into you and doing whatever your heart desired."
Deanna tucked her hands underneath her cheek for the dramatic effect as she laid into the arm rest of the couch. "Uh, yeah. It is too bad." She said, "This is what happens when I have a mean husband. Really, look at me. Lemme go find a new one down the street."
Josh gave her a slight pout as she continued being dramatic before scooting down on the couch a little. "Alright. I guess if this is how the night is gonna go," he sighed, reaching out to tug her legs over his lap. "Should i go get dressed?"
Deanna looked back at him over her shoulder though didn't reject him when he pulled over her legs. "I mean, probably. You're damp and pretty much naked and probably will get cold when you sleep."
Josh lightly began to run his fingers over her legs, smirking to himself. "I don't know about that. I mean, I feel pretty dry now. And I'd only get cold if you don't plan on cuddling with me tonight. Is cuddling off the table too?"
Deanna twisted her torso around so her back was laying on the cushions instead. "I don't know. All this made me tired and I might curl up with a pillow instead."
Josh glanced up at her as she twisted around, shaking his head lightly. "Nah, I don't think that'll happen," he stated, smirking at her as his hand moved further up her leg.
Deanna faked a yawn and waved her hand in front of her mouth for the effect as she leaned up into a sitting position. "I think so. I'm getting tired already."
Josh licked over his lips, completely amused by Deanna's antics. "Wow, didn't know I married a grandma," he teased, his hands moving to push away the fabric of her shirt. "Are we an old, boring, married couple now? Go on a vacation just to sleep?"
Deanna pursed her lips together as the fabric pulled away from her body, shrugging her shoulders some. "It looks like it," She said. "That didn't take long. Unlike some people..
Josh sighed a little when she kept being stubborn. He was wondering how long she was going to play the game. "Well, I think I might have to get a mistress then," he joked, leaning down to press a kiss against her now exposed stomach. "Because I'm a man and my wife doesn't want to sleep with me anymore..."
Deanna lifted her brow the slightest bit at the little kiss, tucking her chin to her chest to look down at him. "See, I did..." she started, "but my husband is a man that took forward and resisted me when I look like this. Also, good luck. Mistresses are usually dirty and sleazy and desperate."
Josh "Whoa, whoa, whoa...I didn't reject you," he defended. "I just wanted to know what I had to do to get more points. I was literally going to do anything you wanted," he clarified. "Thank you. I'm sure the search will be hard since no one will beat my beautiful wife but I'm gonna have to try if I ever want any."
Deanna "Reject, take forever, same difference." Deanna said and lifted one hand over the other as if she was weighing out the two options. "You might want to get started now... or else blue balls might happen."
Josh sucked in his bottom lip to keep from grinning too much, moving around on the couch so he was partially hovering over her. "Get started on what? Finding a mistress or..." He trailed off as he leaned down, pressing a kiss against her chest like he had before.
Deanna shrugged her shoulders as her back laid flat into the cushions, smiling a little at the feeling of the kiss. "Probably a mistress. You know, because you're a man." She joked.
Josh moved his lips further down her body, adjusting himself on the couch as he did so. "I'll start looking when we get back to campus," he played along, kissing her stomach and then moving down to her hips. "For now, I prefer this."
Deanna closed her eyes and felt herself begin to loosen up and give in before her jaw dropped. "Hey!" She said, moving down to smack his shoulder. "Not even!"
Josh let out a soft laugh as she smacked his shoulders, looking up at her. "So, no on the mistress?" He questioned, as if he really needed an answer. As he waited for his answer, he dipped his head between her legs, pushing them apart further before kissing against her inner thigh.
Deanna propped herself up at his laugh and couldn't help but let out one of her own. "No, no on the mistress," Deanna chuckled and watched him, though inhaled a sharp breath at where he traveled to.
Josh "You are very confusing, Mrs. Williams," he mumbled against her inner thigh. "Just a moment ago, you said yes and now no," he reminded her, glancing up at her. "Tell me, what does my wife want me to do?" He asked, pressing another kiss against her though, lingering there to suck against her skin to leave a mark.
Deanna "I'm allowed to change my mind... Plus you said back to campus, and we all know what overly horny sluts we have there that would be really quick to jump at the opportunity to be your mistress," Deanna replied with a voice that grew a little higher pitched at the feeling alone, fingertips curling into the material of the couch. "I want you to be nice to me and give me nice things and love me and... possibly make me feel good."
Josh scrunched his nose up slightly at her. He wasn't sure who she could be referring to on campus but he wasn't going to question her or her logic. He pulled away slightly, glancing back up at her. "Am I not being nice now?" He asked, his hand moving up the outside of her thigh, fingers dipping under the fabric of her underwear, tugging on them lightly. He might have been purposely taking his sweet time as a small revenge.
Deanna While she wasn't exactly referring to anyone when she bitterly made the comment, she could easily smack the label on someone if she wanted. "A little nice, I suppose," Deanna breathed out, almost pathetically sounding, as she rose to be propped up on her elbows. She had done plenty of teasing to him in the past, so it was his sick twisted way of getting her back. "I promise I'll be nice to you back..."
Josh pursed his lips at her answer, as if trying to decide if that was good enough for him or not. He let out a breathy laugh though at her next comment. "That's a given," he teased, pulling her underwear down further, dipping his head to press his lips against her hip. "But I think maybe I deserve that one and a half point back. And maybe a couple more..."
Deanna sucked in a sharp breath to refrain from squeaking when she spoke, gnawing down on her bottom lip. "Jesus, how many points do you think you're getting here?" She joked.
Josh "I guess that'll depend on how well I do," he laughed, kissing her hip again before sitting up to take the underwear completely off of her, tossing them to the side before moving back down between her legs.
Deanna shifted her body around in the flannel she still wore and smirked at him, easily moving her legs back to either side of him. "It's a good thing I'm a really awesome, fair judge."
Josh "Oh so fair," he replied in a sarcastic tone, pressing a kiss against her stomach, moving his lips down slowly. He dipped his head down between her legs after a moment, teasingly running his tongue against her.
Deanna "Hey! Are you excusing me of not—" Deanna breathed out before she practically squeaked out her words, letting out a shaky moan. "Mm."
Josh did his best not to laugh out how easy it was to get her to stop. "Mm, taste so good, babe," he mumbled against her, pressing an open mouthed kiss against her before running his tongue through her middle again.
