Originally, this part would have been much longer and way more boring.
I spent a lot of time thinking about how not to make it dull. Then all the things Willow says weren’t even in the draft sketches (Right now I mean the physics draft page.) — they just came out spontaneously as silly ideas, but even that was preceded by days of thinking.

I know you want more details. The Footcast members serve Wilson in everything – they’re such suck-ups it’s practically an art form! (This is a really bad pun.)
Now the cloak isn’t the Nightmare Throne anymore – instead, it’s formed by the Foot Caste members, and it only appears from time to time.
With this cloak, Wilson can completely merge into the shadows, hide himself away, and the shadows even keep a personal toolkit for him, so he can pull out whatever he needs at any moment.
They can also respond to strong emotional reactions.

A lot of jokes and extra scenes have already been cut out, even though I ended up with 67 chapters in total – which I’m now trying to trim down while still keeping it fun to read. 📚
In the original concept, Wilson’s romantic affair was only going to be a small mention from his survivor days… but, you know, things turned out a little differently.
This whole weekend game was also a personal challenge for me:
I had to show new details in a way that everyone could understand, even though we’re only about to get to chapter two.
For example, Wilson inventing the TV actually happens in chapter 17 – and I’ve already made two mini comics about it! 📺✨

They’re the ones who usually run the magazine and oversee its editorial department.
They are also the keepers of the ancient documents. Back when Wilson was Thulecite, he wrote extensively in his previous life — and the scrolls from that time are now in their care. There aren't many left... and they are priceless.
Now, you’ll get a rare glimpse into how a magazine is actually made.
(The chaos shown in these panels accurately reflects my own writing process—especially when it comes to scenes I end up rewriting five times, or completely scrapping if they don't feel right.)

Willow and Wilson perceive the shadows in completely different ways.
Willow can already distinguish between individual shadow forms — to her, they’re familiar voices, recognizable shapes, a kind of company she knows how to navigate.
But for Wilson, it’s just one huge, swirling, pulsing mass. A constant, painful noise that never stops. He can't tell them apart — and that’s terrifying.
But it’s not just how they see them — their connection is different too.
Willow is like an “external receiver,” sensing the shadows from the outside. Wilson, however, stands at the center of the network. The shadows speak through him. They flow into him. He’s the connecting channel — or maybe a locked room where every voice echoes at once.
That’s why it seems like Willow understands them, while Wilson is just suffering from them. Because right now, that’s true. But it’s not permanent.

DST: TUL -OC Alistor sketch
Yeah....One of my own characters.
Honestly? I'd love to punch him. I don’t even particularly like him…
And although he won’t appear in the main story for a while, I just couldn’t keep him to myself any longer.
He’s not the first – and certainly not the last – original character you’ll see from me… …but probably one of the most "memorable". 😏
For now, I won’t say too much about him. Just like the others.
