        The door slammed shut with greatforce behind Patrick as he followed Zeus inside the townhouse. Taking of hisboots he set them next to expensive loafers that looked way out of placecompared to his dirty work boots. It furthered his sour mood; it’s been like thatall day dirty boots next to clean and put together loafers. Patrick’s self-confidencewas never lacking, but after today he didn’t think he was worth the time of theyoung man before him. He let his gaze move from the floor to meet Zeus’s eyes,which with shining with delight. At least someone had a good time; Patrick spentmost of the day ignoring the glares everyone was giving them. At first hethought it was because they were uncomfortable with two men holding hands asthe walk down the street, but that was in tell he overheard two older ladies sayinghow it was such a shame a nice young man was hanging around someone likehimself. His mood from then on only turned more sour and bitter as he heard thesame phrase said more than once, but instead of telling Zeus he just took outall his frustration on him. Patrick was sure that Zeus was going to leave hecould see the frustration set in his sea green eyes, but the bronzed mansurprised him. Zeus never snapped at him, or called him out on his poor choiceof attitude he simply just acted like everything was alright. Patrick felt thesame thought come into his head as he stared at Zeus the thought that he wasn’tgood enough for the man made of nothing but pure satin and good intention.  He could see Zeus was tired of his attitudeand he wondered if he pushed him hard enough that it wouldn’t hurt as much ifhe left, but apparently the bronze man had other ideas.

       ‘Why have you been such an asshole all day?’ Patrick cringedat his words, Zeus was never one to curse and if he did it was for a goodreason.

        ‘No reason,’ He hoped it would work but Zeuscould see through his lie and wasn’t having any of it. The shorter man shovedPatrick with a good force but did nothing to the taller man.

        ‘No reason my ass Patrick! You’ve been such a dick thiswhole time and I’m not having it anymore,’ Zeus’s voice rose with each word hethrew in Patrick’s direction.

        ‘Than leave!’ as soon as those words left his mouth hewanted to take them back. He watched as Zeus mouth opened than shut just asquickly. The shorter man didn’t have anything to say he wanted to make Patrickhappy if that meant leaving than he would do it. Patrick watched as Zeus pickedup his shoes and headed for the door, the taller man knew once he left he wasn’tcoming back. Patrick couldn’t let him go even if it was better for the shorterman.

        ‘Please I didn’t mean it,’ He could hear the desperate pleadin his voice as he grabbed Zeus’s wrist stopping him from opening the frontdoor.

        ‘Than tell me why you’re in such a bad mood and maybe I won’t’Zeus eyes pleaded with him, all the younger man wanted was to understand.

         ‘I’m not good enough for you,’ everything he was holding ontoleft his mouth with those few words. Zeus let go of the door knob and droppedhis shoes, his hands wanting to comfort the man before him.

          ‘Shouldn’t I be the judge of that?’ It wasn’t really aquestion more of a statement. Zeus cradled Patrick’s face in his hands his seagreen eyes never leaving Patrick’s warm whiskey colored ones. It was thatsimple gesture and the ease of his words that made Patrick feel foolish for thinkinghe didn’t deserve the man made of satin, he deserved to be happy and Zeus madehim happy even if the world around them couldn’t see it.
