Rain doesn’t like to be mistaken for Sans (by looking) or for Papyrus (by personality), he corrects others and tries to make himself understood, even if it is confusing because he does act like them a lot. He could be considered as his own being despite the lack of essence “he” has as himself.
In personality he tends to be pretty much friendly and cheerful. He is a pacifist, and will refuse to fight unless he is really pushed to do so or something triggers him or ‘them’ bad. Part of him used to be very depressed, so his mood can drop fast, but he is easily contented by little. He appreciates a lot the little family he got and his friends, and would do anything for them.
About his abilities, he has a lot of trouble when it comes to use his magic. He can only summon bones without problem, but everything else gets complicated for him. He can shortcut but only occasionally and usually ending with him falling to the ground. With this, he can also travel to other AU’s. He cannot summon Gaster Blasters.

His souls (Frisk, Papyrus and Sans’) got combined in one by mistake when dying together in his broken world. Their codes also got (badly) mixed, and the humans’ determination is the only thing that keeps them together as one as Frisk refused to let them go.
Rain is as inestable as it sounds. Because of these ‘errors’ he tends to get thoughts or feelings that aren’t his, but he usually can recognize whose owners are. Despite this, he is his own person with his own personality (Which is still in development since he keeps trying to figure it out correctly), but the problem comes when something causes a big impact on him: When all these thoughts end up getting mixed together he starts glitching, after this he tends to be confused for a while but quickly tries to catch up.
He doesn’t like to be mistaken for Sans (by looking) or for Papyrus (by personality), he corrects others and tries to make himself understood as best he can, even if it is confusing because he does act like them a lot.
