Geb is the One Who unites all living things into a web of infinite life
A couple more request fulfillments are up. There is now a Geb to accompany Nut, a version of Hethert holding a sistrum, and a Sekhmet-Nut/Nebetuu/“Star lionness”.
Why did we do it?
Put up our lights,
To compete with yours
We blinded ourselves,
Robbed ourselves.
Of the infinite.
What must you see,
Looking down
To your lover
Adorned like you
Do you regret it
When you were torn
- duty and love.
It is no easy path
To disobey.
For your crimes
You are torn apart again
And ripped from your
Husband’s embrace.
Now you find yourself,
Stretching over him,
Unable to reach him,
Watching him,
Missing him.
And to see him now
Adorned with light.
A restless earth,
That does not sleep.
A beautiful sky
Hidden from sight
Can he see you?
Is it still just air
That keeps you apart
Or the dazzling,
Hazy glow that,
Hangs in the air.
We did it to see,
And yet we are blind.
To you and your pain,
To you and your love,
Was it worth it?
Adoration of Geb
Oh Lord, we live by Your kindness.
Your children breathe so that we might breathe.
Your children are fruitful so we might live.
We build with Your bones.
We’re supported by Your hands.
You hold our bodies when they die.
You restore our souls when we pass.
Oh Lord, there is no place where You are not.
Trees and gods, snakes and men, they are in every place.
Through them, Your are joyful.
Through them, You live.
Oh Lord, Your strength is boundless, Your protection is sure, Your power is manifest in all that is seen, all that is heard.
I bring You praise, oh King.
I bring You love, oh Prince.
Dua Geb!
