So I was scrolling through some old messages and found an. Honestly really interesting concept for an AU which I totally forgot about

AU where Holly doesn't call Joseph about the whole “Jotaro’s locked himself in jail” situation

Essentially the idea is that Joot is sitting and vibing in the jail cell just like canon, however this time when Holly shows up take him back home, he ends up noticing things because she’s now alone and his sole focus. Be it because if his own observation skills or because if Star’s incredibly precise vision, he ends up noticing some things

He notices his mother is paler than she usually is, that she’s having a bit of difficulty breathing, that over all she looks weaker and more strained than she usually is

Jotaro may be terrified of hurting his mother. But he’s even more terrified of leaving her alone sick with no one to take care of her, so it’s enough to get him out of the cell and go home.

And then the second they get through the door, she collapses.

Only it’s the evil spirit which catches her, far faster than Jotaro could have. And despite Jotaro’s worst fears of it hurting her.... it doesn’t. Instead, it just carefully cradles her fevered form and gently gives her to him. Jotaro then takes her to her room, lies her down, and starts caring for her best he can with the Possibly-Not-That-Evil Spirit’s help.

The next days rolls around, in which Jotaro skips school to care for his mom....... only for Kakyoin to show up.

There’s a fight, the house gets more than a little damage, Jotaro goes absolutely ballistic when he realizes they’re getting closer to the room his mom is in, and ends up knocking Kakyoin the fuck out. He also takes out the flesh bud because What The Fuck Is That Why Is It In Your Head Why Is It Going Up My Arm-

Fast forward a couple more hours. Kakyoin awakens to being tied up and very beat up in a closet. A few minutes of fumbling and trying to figure out what’s going on and eventually Jotaro opens the door with a “are you feeling less crazy and murderous now or do I have to knock you out again?”

They talk, both get answers about What The Fuck Is Going On, and realize their best bet of saving Holly is to find Dio, and maybe beat him up if necessary. Kakyoin remembers him having an enormous library and a bunch of other Stand Users around, so somebody was bound to know something about Holly’s clearly Stand Given Condition.

So they’re off. Jotaro leaves his mother with some neighbors he knew she liked and with the  surprising amount of funds Dio had given Kakyoin, they start their journey.

Fast forward a few more hours..... and Joseph ends up getting a call from the hospital. Those neighbors Jotaro left Holly with? Yeah they were really really concerned about her health so she was brought to a hospital which.... you know what fair. Joseph was one of her emergency contacts, and he puts together the possible Stand Involvement so Avdol comes to.

They go check in with the hospital, Avdol confirms it’s a Stand Thing.... and they also learn that Jotaro had left the jail cell but hasn’t visited his mother since she was admitted. So Joseph and Avdol start head back to the Kujo House, and Joseph is prepared to kick his ass for not visiting his mother, offer a shoulder if the kid’s not visiting because Emotions, or both. Plus he also starts planning on explaining Stands and how killing Dio was the only way to save Holly

What he wasn’t prepared for was to find clear signs of a fight alongside blood, because Jotaro and Kakyoin..... didn’t leave the house in the best shape. Joseph then realizes that Dio got to Jotaro before they did, and now is doubly motivated to go and kick Dio’s ass.

So now we have two groups. Jotaro and Kakyoin(and maybe Polnareff) heading to Egypt at a more leisurely pace while trying to learn as much about Stands as they can along the way, and then Joseph going on an absolute war path with Avdol and Iggy 

Bonus points if Joseph keeps using Hermit Purple at the worst possible times and getting Seemingly Not Great photos of Jotaro’s situation, double bonus points if they keep nearly missing each other along the way

So I had a scenario in need of an AU to slot it in, and @starry-blue-echoes Dual Trip AU worked the best for that purpose.

“What if Iggy discovered the secret of The World instead of Kakyoin?”

CW: Character Death

Picture the following:

The battle in the streets of Cairo is in full swing. Joseph & Kakyoin’s automobile has crashed due to the common malfunction of having a US Senator thrown into it (hate it when that happens). Noriaki Kakyoin is slower to come up with a plan to oust The World’s secret, since he is preoccupied with cradling a small dog in his arms.

The mutt is barely breathing at this point. There was no time to put him somewhere safe, like in the care of that boy who pulled him from the river. Too much risk. But abandoning Iggy to suffocate on his own pierced lungs would be heartless. And the look in the dog’s tired eyes tells Kakyoin intimately that he would not let himself be left behind.

Iggy is willing to die for them, realizes Kakyoin in a moment of sickening clarity. The same dog who had played them all like fools — hopping between groups when it suited him, helping Kakyoin, Jotaro, and Polnareff out before ditching them without a care. At times, the one thing seperating Joseph from finding his grandson had been Iggy’s unwillingness to communicate.

Perhaps if the crusaders’ faith in Iggy hadn’t been shaken so thoroughly, Kakyoin wouldn’t have gotten his eyes almost scratched out by a weird bird, he mused absently. Perhaps then he could have squared off against the younger D’Arby brother instead of Polnareff. He was better at video games.

Kakyoin knows for certain that Mohammed Abdul would still be with them if not for his own weakness. But Iggy’s aura is a wretched cocktail of self-loathing and guilt. The dog clearly believes otherwise.

(Abdul died wishing to save his companions. Both JoJos wish to save the life of Holy Kujo. Polnareff is unwilling to let others die for him. Iggy is willing to die. Kakyoin is unwilling to let him. What fools they all were.

In DIO’s world, wills and well-wishes amount to nothing.)

In an instance where DIO teleports from one place to the next, Kakyoin sees the moment Iggy realizes something vital and sniffs to confirm it. A canine’s nose has always been their most important asset.

They approach the banks of the Nile River that runs through Cairo. Joseph and Kakyoin are halfway through setting up the perfect conditions for the three of them to deduce DIO’s true power. Nearby, Iggy lays hidden and observes as the vampire calmly lands in their unfinished trap with arms crossed, and begins to gloat.

Iggy blinks. DIO remains where he is, but between one instant and the next, his scent trail smeared, as though stretched thin by a black hole’s gravity, down to the waterfront and back. Joseph sees the fishing boat hurling towards Kakyoin a half-second too late. It tears through Hierophant Green’s webbing to be ripped to shreds by an omnidirectional Emerald Splash, but wood shrapnel still peppers Kakyoin’s body and he falls from the sky.

A sandy breeze blows. Iggy’s soul moves on its own — it had no choice but to move. But DIO moves faster.

He smugly repositions himself behind the small dog to wait for the flow of time to reassert itself, for that brief flicker of horror. Then, just like that boy a century ago who leapt from a high-class carriage, Dio Brando punts Iggy across the banks of the Nile. He skids atop the water once; twice like a skipping stone. On a passing luxury steamboat, the open-flame oven of an onboard restaraunt greets him like a catcher’s mit. GOAL!

Devoid of context, it would be fucking hilarious. DIO certainly finds it funny. He brushes sand from his clothing and thinks nothing of where it came from, or what its measurements have proven.

Against all odds, Noriaki Kakyoin still finds his fall cushioned by sand. The Fool is screaming radio static and hellfire. It torturously desolves and reforms over and over again, scrabbling for every inch of life it can. It embraces Kakyoin in unfiltered desperation.

I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I messed up. I took everything for granted. I kept everyone apart. I don’t know where dogs go when they die. I wasted every second of my life. I’m sorry. I kept everyone apart and that killed Abdul. Please forgive me. Please, figure it out. I don’t want you all to die. I don’t want this to be my fault. I never wanted to care about you. How dare you make me care. I’m sorry. Please, figure it out. I love you. Please.

Then it dawns on Kakyoin that The Fool is trying to form a sundial. A sundial with a sculpted crack running down the middle. He understands immediately.

All that's left for him to do is caress The Fool’s face softly and whisper “good boy.”

It is the first and last time Iggy is called a good boy in his life, and it fills him with pride. That... that wasn’t so bad. Huh.

He drifts away.

Dual Trip + Dadtaro: Jotaro's group probably just becomes the group that tries their hardest to keep Anne out of trouble. Meanwhile, Joseph is constantly getting more frantic when he sees how many of Dio's minions are travelling with have captured his grandson. (This would be made even funnier if his group was also somehow collecting stand users, and he still doesn't realize why Jotaro has so many of Dio's minions surrounding him.)

It’s Jotaro specifically who keeps collecting new members like Pokémon cards despite Kakyoin and Polnareff complaining and trying to get him to stop. While Polanreff is the one who encounters the most, Jotaro is always the one who manages to inadvertently convince them to join.

Joseph meanwhile doesn’t know if he should be proud over the fact Jotaro is so dangerous as to need this many on Dio’s minions sent after him or have a heart attack because oh god, oh shit, there are so many minions, is his grandson okay, are they hurting him, he doesn’t even know rescue is coming, he thinks he’s on his own-

And Anne is just having the time of her life because look at all these new friends who can travel with her!

Alright I’ve been “following” (in the sense that I’ve been reading it consistently, I only actually pressed the “follow” button recently) your blog for about a month, I really like a lot of your AU’s, and I would like to contribute some of my own thoughts to them.

I’m going to start with Dual Trip (the Part 3 version, since there are now multiple Dual Trips in existence).

Specifically, how the first half of the fights would be split between the two groups (since the second half has already been thoroughly discussed)

The two groups will be referred to as the “Jotaro Crew” (Jotaro + Kakyoin + Polnareff) and the “Jospeh Crew” (Jospeh + Avdol + Iggy) 

Tower of Grey - Joseph Crew

(Because Jospeh cannot enter a plane without fate causing it to crash)

Joseph is probably the one to defeat it dye to a combination of Hermit Purple and Joseph Joestar(trademark) Bullshittery.    

Dark Blue Moon - Jotaro Crew

I feel like an idea for this was discussed in a previous post, but I will expand on it a little bit. 

In this version, Imposter Captian Tennille is not an imposter, instead, Kakyoin and Polnareff pretend to still be servants of DIO for the purposes of getting a quick boat ride to Egypt. 

“Hello, fellow servant of DIO! Don’t you just love serving our wonderful master DIO today? We are bring this Joestar descendant as an offering to lord DIO, who we love serving so much!” Unfortunately, Polnareff talks to much and Jotaro talks too little, so the Imposter Captain catches onto their ruse. 

A fight breaks out, and the ship ends up getting destroyed, forcing the Jotaro crew to make the rest of the journey by land. 

Strength - Jospeh Crew 

(Because this way, we can avoid… that particular scene with Anne)

After the plane crash, Jospeh requests a boat from the Speedwagon foundation, but when it arrives, all of the crew are dead. After some suitably scary haunted ship action, Avdol resolves the situation by burning down the entire boat.  (And that wretched awful horrible ape along with it) 

Ebony Devil - Jospeh Crew

This is probably where Iggy shows up. Jospeh spends the whole encounter running away from a killer doll, while Iggy uses his sense of smell to track down Devo the Cursed. 

Yellow Temperance - Jospeh Crew

This fight was another one discussed in a previous post, where Rubber Soul disguises himself as Jotaro, which complexly fools the Jospeh Crew for longer than they would like to admit. 

Hanged Man + Emperor - Both Crews

This was similarly discussed in more detail in previous posts, but Avdol and Polnareff accidentally cross paths, Avdol gets shot, and then Polnareff and Kakyoin finish the fight just like in canon. 

Empress - Jotaro Crew

Admittedly I don’t have any strong ideas for this once, except that maybe Polnareff getting targeted by Empress, and Nena guilts him into not destroying it because “How could you hurt a poor innocent girl like me?”

But I’m not 100% sold on this idea, so I would be interested to hear if you had any other ideas for how this could go. 

Wheel of fortune - Jotaro Crew + Iggy

Alright, so what if Iggy used the Fool to make a giant car made out of Sand, and then (smashes toy trucks violently together like a 5 year old)  

Justice - Jotaro Crew

This probably plays out pretty much like it does in canon. Enya’s death is probably what clues DIO into the fact that “Hey wait a minute, Polnareff and Kakyoin aren’t actually working for me!” 

Lovers - Jotaro Crew

Jotaro is the one who gets the Lovers stuck inside his brain this time,  Polnareff has to have Steely Dan step on him because Polnareff is the universe’s punching bag, and Kakyoin is left on his own to get the Lover’s out of Jotaro (which is much more difficult than in canon since Hermit Purple isn’t there to provide helpful visuals)   

Sun - Jotaro Crew

Goes the same as canon. The crew walks into the desert, gets heat exhaustion, laughs at two identical rocks, and then Jotaro throws another rock and saves the Day. 

Death Thriteen - Joseph Crew

Like Empress, I don’t have any specific ideas for how this fight should go, since I don’t know if it is funnier to have Avdol, Joseph, or Iggy be the one to figure it out that the baby is the stand user.  

Judgement - Jotaro Crew + Iggy

Probably starts the same as canon, with Judgment appearing before Polnareff, offering him the wishes, Polnareff wishing for his sister and Avdol back, then getting attacked by zombies. 

However, this time It is Iggy, instead of Avdol, who saves the day. 

My reasoning for how this goes is that the “Zombies” that Judgment makes are just made out of earth, and the Fool generates itself out of the earth, meaning Iggy could just…. immediately win the fight by turning the “Zombies” into his stand. I don’t know if that is how those stands work, but the idea is funny.

Then Iggy farts in Polnareffs face and leaves. 

High priestess -Joseph Crew

This is another one where I don’t have any specific ideas, I just knew that the Jotaro crew don’t have the resources to acquire a Submarine, so this had to be another Jospeh Crew fight. Other than that, I got nothing. 

And then previous posts already outlined how the rest of encounters in Egypt would go.

If you liked these Ideas, I have some a few more to suggest about the other dual trips, as well as a lot of ideas about the StarSwap AU (which is my other favourite AUs you created), as well as an AU suggestion of my own (albeit one inspired by a comment you made), all of which I would be willing to share if you are interested. (Whenever I next get the time to type up something as long as this)

OOOOOOOOOOO YESSSSSSSSSSSSS

Joseph is forever cursed on planes, that is one of the few universal constants that no AU can change

You took the thoughts right out of my head with Kakyoin and Polnareff pretending to have Jotaro hostage. And what if in an attempt to sell it more, Kakyoin ends up looping some of Hierophant's tendrils around his hands and feet like cuffs. It's not enough to actually impede him in any way nor tight enough to be uncomfortable, but it comes across as "making sure Jotaro won't try anything" thing. Maybe Tennille tries locking Jotaro below deck but Kakyoin explains that Jotaro was a crafty one and it would be best to keep him within sight at all times

and what if Anne is almost indirectly responsible for them being found out, in a way. Similarly to canon she's a stowaway, but what if at that point Tennille was starting to get suspicious so he tries killing her to bait a reaction. Lo and behold Hierophant's tentacles do almost nothing to impede Jotaro from attempting to cave his skull in

Given the fact Tennille didn't need to pretend to be an impostor this time around, it's entirely possible the crew of the ship could be some nameless extra Stand Users under Dio's command. So while Jotaro's fighting Tennille in the water, Kakyoin and Polnareff are fighting the rest of the crew on the boat while also trying to keep Anne safe. Maybe blowing up the boat was a sort of last ditch escape attempt which thankfully worked out in the end and now they have a new member of the crew :D

A BIG yes with Avdol burning the ship. These two take one look at this creepy horror movie looking thing and all the bodies and decide "yeah, how about we didn't-"

Ebony Devil could possibly have some moments similar to the N'Doul fight in how Devo doesn't see Iggy as a threat nor an enemy until it's too late. Also I think Joseph should be allowed to Yeet Iggy with Hermit Purple, just because it would be funny. And possibly to add even more insanity, what if Rubber Soul ends up teaming up with Devo so both attacks are happening at the same time. Devo was acting as a distraction so Rubber Soul could get close enough and get an opening to kill them, but in the end and possibly thanks to Iggy and his sense of smell, they realize he's a fake

Joseph........ is NOT happy, to say the least

And while the Hanged Man + Emperor fight has already been mostly covered, there's going to be a bit of added fun in Polnareff striking out on his own. After all, despite his immaturity, he's been the only adult supervision these two(technically three if you count Anne) have had for the whole trip. It hurts even worse for Kakyoin because for once there's someone else like him who's not an awful human being. Kakyoin has learned more about Stands in the last handful of weeks than he has in his entire life, and now Polnareff decides to up and leave them

He knows why, and as an explanation it's perfectly logical and should make complete sense. After all Polnareff had made his intentions very clear when he had joined up with them and Kakyoin knew him leaving was inevitable........ so why did it hurt so much?

Unfortunately I'm drawing just as much of a blank when it comes to Empress. Maybe it could play into Polnareff's actions during the previous fight? After all, they did occur within a very short time frame of each other, and the emotions and slight betrayal (plus the grief of getting someone killed) are probably still very fresh. I can honestly see Jotaro taking a bit of a backseat in this one, mostly dealing with Polnareff and Kakyoin's traumas and how they accidentally hurt eachother

I love the idea of Iggy making a giant sand car thing. He's doing all sorts of crazy tricks just to fuck around and have fun, mostly at the expense of Joseph and Avdol who are trying to hold on for dear life and not get thrown off

You're right about Justice being almost completely the same, and off the top of my head I don't see much being all that different at all. Kakyoin is absolutly going to tease Polnareff relentlessly for licking the toilet

But Steel Dan though :)

When it comes to the Lovers, I'll admit I had a slightly different idea: so as you've said, at this point Dio's starting to become aware of how Kakyoin and Pol might not be on his side anymore and thus likely wouldn't trust them with Jotaro's "transport" anymore, right?

What if Steely Dan had been sent as recon. To check it out, to secretly watch the four when they arrived and see how they acted when they thought no one was watching

Needless to say, it's pretty easy to see they aren't enemies...... so Steely Dan ends up enacting the instructions Dio had given him if they turned out to be traitors after all

Taking over Jotaro's escort to Dio. After all, his Stand is exceptionally useful in taking hostages :)

And as we've seen, Steely Dan has no qualms with putting children in the line of fire :)))

So now Anne is the one to get put under the Lover's influence and Jotaro is forced to go with Dan unless he wants her to suffer

and this is....... really not fun for them to deal with. They're all on a time limit because while Steely Dan is still toying with Jotaro and being a smug motherfucker, he's already called Dio to inform him about the situation and is slowly making his way to some transportation to take Jotaro to him, and if he does end up leaving they're going to be screwed. The man made it very clear that any attempts at following wouldn't be tolerated, and once they leave the town proper there wasn't a whole lot of cover to hide behind to conceal any attempts a tailing them

So yeah. It's stressful.

Jotaro is fucking SEETHING while this whole thing is going down. He wants nothing more than to pummel this asshole into the ground but he can't because that would mean hurting a child, hurting Anne, and after the weeks of travel he has to admit he's grown attached. He wants to fight, to yell, to do anything, but he's completely trapped right now and can do nothing but rely on his friends to save him

The Sun is at least going to be a nice break. Don't get me wrong, it was definitely terrifying, but they got a good laugh out of it

Death Thirteen....... while I don't have too many thoughts, I think we should give Avdol some time to shine here. Maybe we could play around with the fact that as sadistic as this little shit is, he's still a baby and Dio is using said baby to try and kill people. Maybe there's some kind of motive we could put in, maybe with the kid's parents (or possibly lack thereof?)

Judgement....... OW that one's going to hurt so much because this time Avdol isn't going to be there to help comfort. As far as Polnareff knows, Avdol is still dead and gone. Nothing's going to be able to bring that man back and he got taken advantage of because he thought otherwise. Iggy definitely helps serve as a wake up call here in confirming no Stand can bring back the dead, but it's still going to sting

And yeah, Submarine Shenanigans are going to be....... wild. Also fun fact, did you know that dog scuba gear exists?

and I would LOVE to hear your thoughts for the other encounters, you did an absolutely amazing job with these ones, it was incredible and so well put together and a joy to read. Definitely one of the more fun asks I've had to answer

The 2 groups SDC AU is my new obsession. Especially Iggy doing Perry the platypus style double mission (idk what to call it). It's so hilarious. Also I 100% agree that the Mariah fight should be with avpol and have Polnareff trying to flirt with Mariah to get out of the situation but eventually realising that if he must be stuck to someone for life, he's glad it's Avdol. And Avdol is like "are you confessing love to me now? At a time like this? Omg ur so stupid ily."

the whole first half of the fight Polnareff being a red blushing mess and trying to cope via flirting and humorously suggestive comments in an attempt to make the situation more silly then having to deal with whatever emotions he’s currently having. He thought his little crush on the very pretty Stand User had died along with him, but apparently not and now he is s u f f e r i n g

but Avdol is no idiot, and while he’s also rather flustered about this whole ordeal, he’s at least semi coherent and puts the pieces together. Maybe Pol even gets a little peck on the cheek when its all over 💖

I’d love Polnareff to stick with Kakoyoin and Jotaro in the “Holly doesn’t call” au.

Because that makes Polnareff the closest thing they have to adult supervision in this entire fifty day journey. And that is a hilarious thought.

This man can barely keep himself alive during Stardust and now he has to babysit two teenagers.

And what’s even funnier is that neither of those teenagers know ANYTHING about Stands or the Stand Community. Kakyoin somehow managed to go his entire life not meeting any, and Jotaro got his literally a few days ago and calls it “an evil spirit” which is a WHOLE mess of issues he didn’t think he’d have to deal with

And to add even more chaos, what if he and Kakyoin’s argue about the Stand Magentism. Kakyoin denies that it exists because of how long he was alone for and all the Stand Users they’re fighting is because Dio is sending them after them. Meanwhile Jean Pierre “Can’t Even Go To The Bathroom Without Getting His Ass Kicked” Polnareff is adamant that Magnetism does exist and keeps trying to explain it

And then Joot’s just. Stuck in the middle because he really can’t make a judgement call on this.

I’d imagine from an outside perspective it sounds like the two are having a really intense religion/philosophical debate, and then they just see Jotaro and Anne sitting off to the side

you bet your ass Polanreff is going to Older Brother the hell out of her. It’s just his nature, he sees Child and goes “:0 new sibling :D” and there’s nothing she can do to stop him

So weird/funny idea. What if Dual trip kinda. Keeps happening in the rest of the parts? Like, Part 4 would be pretty similar to your Hidden In Plain Sight AU just with Yukako being more stable so that Koichi has an actual Squad before he meets Rohan, and they both go after Kira for different reasons—Koichi's group of him, Yukako, and Rohan being guided by Reimi; and Josuke's group of himself, Okuyasu, and Jotaro going after him because he killed/hospitalized Shigechi.

Part 5 features Giorno doing a lot of Accidental Kidnapping/Recruiting. Koichi is one thing, but then, before he even officially joins Bruno's group he accidentally convinces Trish that he's her Mafia escort (or straight up accidentally kidnaps her) and now they're on the run. This ends up in a 4-way battle between Giorno and his ragtag group, Bucciarati's gang, La Squadra, and the lower level grunts who are fighting for their own reasons, mainly recognition from the boss. (Giorno probably Charismas a few to his side, because he's Giorno. Possibly including Sheila E from Purple Haze Distortion.)

As for Bruno's gang, Abbachio is in the same situation Joseph was in, his stand constantly giving him the Worst Possible Moments, except this time with the added benefit of Giorno somehow always looking good; Fugo leaves Bucciarati's group just to immediately get dragged into Giorno's (unwillingly); Bruno is wondering what the hell Giorno did to have things go this far off the rails thIS WAS NOT THE PLAN, and Mista and Narancia are just constantly Out Of The Loop.

I don't even know what the divisions are for Stone Ocean. Maybe Jolyne fighting for Jotaro with Foof and Anasui, and Ermes, Weather, and Emporio teaming up and getting into trouble for their own individual goals which only partially involves fricking Pucci over.

Bonus: Iggy is still serving the same role of go-between in each part. Average age for dogs be damned.

OOOOOOOOOOOO THAT’S FUN AND CHAOTIC

What if this time Yukako and Koichi have been friends for a while, perhaps they met before her crush developed into the obsessive level as canon. And their side of the plot kicks off when one day soon after their first day of high school, the both of them get shot by Keicho when they’re walking home. Yukako was doing fine, but Koichi..... not so much. And as Yukako’s running to get him to a hospital, what if they accidentally run into Josuke along the way and he subtly heals Koichi in a way to ensure his injuries wouldn’t be lethal or cause any long term consequences. This also ends up being what cues Josuke in on who’s making all these enemy Stand Users so he and Jotaro can go deal with it, getting Okuyasu onto their team

and I also had a fun idea for how Centipede Shoes could go. I’m not sure about how exactly to get there, but when Koichi goes to call for help, he wouldn’t be able to call Josuke. Instead, he ends up calling Rohan, who immediately starts panicking upon seeing Koichi’s body because he can’t heal. So in what was a VERY desperate bid for Koichi’s survival, he wrote something like “Koichi Hirose will survive his fight with the killer” and immediately started hauling ass to the hospital praying it would work

And Part 5....... oh god that’s going to be absolutely insane. What if Koichi’s reason for sticking around at first is “hhhhhh I can’t leave this 15 year old by himself, I remember what being 15 as a Stand User was like-”, plus he was a tad worried about Giorno’s living situation because of how..... alone and impersonal his room was, so his plan was to stick close to Naples and periodically check in. But what if Mr.Pericolo and Trish were in Naples at least for a little bit, and well..... seeing a very uncomfortable 15 year old girl with a man who’s clearly Mafia isn’t going to look very good, especially without the context of the situation

So what if in the middle of Polpo’s test, Giorno offers to help, yoinks her, and brings her back to his dorm at which Koichi shows up and it’s revealed that Trish is the Boss’s daughter..... but before Gio can think about how he could possibly use this.... what if Koichi ends up bringing up the possibility of her father having less than innocent intentions. 

After all, Koichi is very familiar with people like Diavlo who will do anything and everything to keep their secrets. How they will murder, tear apart families, even kill children to stay hidden. How loose threads are cut and burned before they can pose any threat without hesitation, and that a mysterious daughter he hadn’t known about is one huge thread. He brings up the inconsistencies in this story, that if her father wanted to meet her so badly, why hadn’t he sent so much as a note or reassurance of her safety? Why has he just been dragging her all around Italy without even asking her about……. anything???

He doesn’t want to scare them but..... he also doesn’t want anyone getting "dealt with” like he nearly was. And besides, even if the man’s intentions weren’t murder, this was still really shitty behavior, especially since Trish has exactly ZERO desire to meet her father

So he asks Trish. That if she could make any choice right now, regardless of the consequences or danger, what would she want to do?

And this catches her off guard. These past few weeks Trish had gotten used to being treated as something important, but mostly inatimate. She was dragged from one place to another without so much as a glance in her direction, with people walking on eggshells around her, treating her as though she were the most fragile of glass but also the most dangerous of weapons that could end them in an instant

So she’s honest. She tells him she doesn’t want to meet her father, that she doesn’t want anything to do with this. Not with her father, not with Passione, none of it

So Koichi agrees without hesitation. He calls Jotaro and updates him on the development and plans with the kids on what to do next

And for a second Giorno’s a tad..... stuck. Without knowing it, he’d accidentally made things so much easier and infinitely more complicated. There’s no going back from this, he’d already taken Trish and even if he did try returning her, that was just asking to get killed. This was in no way, shape or form his plan, but he more or less has to go with it lest he accept defeat

of course, the second the three of them cross paths with the Bucci Gang, Bucciarati nearly blows both their covered because Giorno what the fuck- 

And wow, Koichi’s really out here collecting kiddos like Pokemon cards isn’t he

(also unrelated from the rest of this but I think that while they’re on the run, Koichi should be allowed to be terrifying with Echoes. As a treat. After all we’ve seen just how much damage all the Acts can cause, and Act 1 especially can really fuck with someone’s mental state)
