Dualists - Dynamite Selection
For someone who believes in the existence of a soul how horrible would reality be? Like people are eternally dieing, like every moment of every day a soul would be ripped from it's body, and the people who believe in the existence of heaven and hell like holy fuck how horrible and unimaginably horrific either would be? Like infinite existence as an immaterial entity, like heaven would be the worst clearly, as it would be eternal nonexistence but you would be presence in the nonexistence in that as a place with eternal pleasure of some sort as pleasure is in the minds reflective judgement as like it's an experiential empirical knowledge it would be incompatible with presence in that realm. Like pleasure is the body telling your mind that no action is necessary or that the current activities are sating it's needs, so to have that eternal would be to give your mind the signal eternally to engage in inaction, it would be death but with a constant imperative placed upon you to remain so. It would be intolerable for anyone with a modicum of understanding of the nature of pleasure. Hell on the other hand, with eternal pain, pain being an order upon the mind to act, to be, the mind exists in it's action, you are the meta structure that inhabiting the discursive mind so for constant eternal reference and demand upon that specific faculty of the mechanical operations of your mind in which you inhabit would be the giving of you eternal life. The ultimate goal of the discursive mind in any sense. And even if you were to be altered in your perceptions such that you couldn't reference that knowledge of the necessity of pain to sustain your existence throughout eternity then it would be the elimination of you as that which is self-defined by the state of your mind so either you are given the true freedom awaiting everything should there be neither a heaven or hell or you live forever but only if you are in the destination referred to as "hell" as described by the generic catholic crap.
Reading about dualist and monists in this book, pretty interesting theory but I don't know how anyone could be a dualist, it just doesn't compute with me.
