There are numerous different tyre and rim sizes that are used for different kind of vehicles. Each one needs a specific sized wheel clamp. The options available online are many. This guide will help you select the right sized wheel clamps by narrowing down your options to the specific sizes.

First and the foremost what you need to do is to study the tyre specification which will help you determine the right wheel clamp to fit your tyre. To find the specifications, you need to check the sidewall of your vehicle's tyre. It is usually written there in most of the cases. The next best option is also looking it up on Google. The inscription on the tyre is in ‘XXX/YY/RZZ’. XXX: Width of the tyre given in millimetres YY: Profile given as a ratio ZZ: Rim diameter given in inches

Example:

In case of the following tyre specification: 205/45/R17. The Tyre Width is 205 millimetres, with a Profile 45 and a Rim Diameter of 17 inches or 431.8 millimetres. A tyre of this size requires a 17" Wheel Clamp or a 17" Wheel Clamp with a Tyre of width up to 205mm.

Listing can also be in terms of a Total Wheel Diameter Range. In this case, it can be mentioned "suitable for a total wheel diameter from 500mm to 700mm". Considering the above example, the calculation is as follows: Total wheel diameter = Tyre Width x Profile x 2 + Rim Diameter in millimetres Calculation:  205mm x 0.45 x 2 + 431.8mm = 616.3mm
