We finally decided to get a blog together for the MegaMan dub project. We’ll try to keep the blog updated with available and taken roles and current progress.

We’ll be dubbing the Megaman Archie comics, and if we can find them, Megamix and Gigamix. Fan comics aren’t out of the equation either. Anything and everything Megaman related has a chance.

Of course, we won’t be getting started until we have enough people on board. We do have an editor and a handful of voice actors, but that’s not enough to get the ball rolling just yet.

We will be posting available rolls with what we are looking for, once a roll taken we’ll reblog the original post with an update.

DUB project looks to improve the urban world

It’s nice to know that there are projects out there whose sole purpose is to make urban environments more interesting.  Such is the Department of Urban Betterment (DUB), a project organized by architect John Locke. 

The point?  To redefine a city landscape.  Recently, he converted an eyesore of a pay phone into an eye-catching communal library complete with bright orange shelves, local books, and a bit of jazz.

He hopes that the project will not only make the street look better, but it will encourage community and book sharing. 

 “I’m interested in pay phones because they are both anachronistic and quotidian. Relics, they’re dead technology perched on the edge of obsolescence, a skeuomorph hearkening back to a lost shared public space we might no longer have any use for …  But they can also be a place of opportunity, something to reprogram, and somewhere to come together and share a good book with your neighbors,” Locke writes
